jet engine in a mini cooper old one
or vw lupo with 2 ZR1s V8s 4wd

Toyota Prius with 2ZZ-GE (would be awesome a prius with that engine, hitting the cams lift at 6.8k RPM :D :D)

2CV with a Viper V10. But with 1,000 hp!! I'd strongly advise a suspension upgrade and possibly gearbox too.

Well I would do some swaps that we would actually be able to do.
LS7 into a Cobalt (This is insane fun on Forza 2)
Viper V10 into a new Challenger and a new Charger

Twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Gallardo.

S15 with a Supra 2JZ twin turbo beast pushing in excess of 1500 BHP!! :p

Imagine trying to drift that!

But what if it were only like.. the same manufacturer?

Then I would do:

RB26 Into an S15
LS9 into Monaro
LS7 into a C1 Corvette
SL55 AMG Engine into that old black square Mercedes 190 Evo thing
SLR engine into an SL55 AMG
2JZ into an AE86
Vauxhall Corsa with the 2.8 turbo V6 from the Vectra VXR.

I'd love to stick a Rotary into an AE86.

@dancardesigner

Actually, I dont think PD would go so far, to model the engines. Lets face the truth: Im 100% sure that PD wont even model the car interiors after an weight reduction

Engine swapping would be interesting. Maybe we gonna have to prepare for some race series in GT, with engine restricting rules etc

I agree which is why i don't think we will see engine swaps, but if there is then how do you suppose they go about doing it?, because some engins are visible on some cars like the F430, and R8.

-2jz Swap Into S2000, Rx-7, 350z.
-20b Swap Into Rx-8
-RB26 Into an S15
-AE-86 with 2JZGTE, MR-2 engine, or S2000 engine
-VR35DETT Into R34

If it does have engine swaps, I really hope that there is at least something with a Rover V8.

I have been having thoughts about a rover powered spitfire for quite a long time, and would be interested to see how it performs virtually (assuming that the spittie is carried over from GT4...)
Other than that theres a few other classics that I wouldnt mind dropping a Rover into....

Kaz has already mentioned that he is/was looking into the possiblity of engine swaps. I tnk as a feature it would be a very good one. In terms of modelling the engines, well if PD are modelling all the games engines then having them visiably change would be no problem. However a feature like this would largly depend on licensing and I'd hazard a guess that most of the exotics liek the Ferrari's would not allow for engine swaps.

I happen to disagree i think the process of making the engine look like they have been properly fitted to the car and also for the software to decide wether it would fit and how would be a very complex task, unless ofcourse it's done poorly and the engines arn't modelled too well. But looking at the quality of engine modelling on the likes of the F40 in prologue i think keeping that seem level of quality would be extremely difficult. All we can do is wait and see.

If the engines are going to be visible on every car in some way then it won't be a problem. If they arn't then there may be ap problem but in that case PD would only need to model possible swaps in cars where the engine is visible. Getting it fit wouldn't be hard, that would be very easy really and modeling the engins to a certain standard is something that I can't see being much of an issue. But like i said, I'd expect should swaps make it in hat cars like the Ferarri's and Lamborghini's etc would probably not make use of this, they don't in the Forza games so it's probably a licensing issue. You're right though, we'll have to wait and see.

Since Amar and Famine haven't swapped brains yet, I'll add to the chaos and I am doing realistic conversions, as in they have already been done in real life:

1. AE86 Corolla w/ 20BT
2. S13/14/15 Silvia w/ RB26DETT
3. TA22 Celica w/ 1JZGTE
4. FD RX7 w/ LS1
5. R32 GTS-T w/ LS1
6. Nissan March w/ SR20DET
7. Nissan Exa w/ SR20VET
8. EG Civic w/ K24A
9. SB Corsa w/ Z20LET
10. FD RX7 w/ 26B
11. SA (FB) RX7 w/ 13BT
12. Lotus Elise w/ K20A
13. SLK230 w/ SLR motor
14. E36 BMW w/ 1UZ-GE

That's what you call tasteful conversions....not this "Jet Engine in Model T" etc. crud.

Ford Ka with Mustang's V8
Caterham with Lancer Evo or Subaru Impreza engine
Suzuki Cappucino with S2000 engine

And also an AE86 with a Rotary engine

Right that's it, beat this combo.
This diesel engine

Its VR38DETT for all the people that still don't know the R35's engine code!:)

In short If GT5 has engine swaps and a livery editor Turn10 would lose my custom.

You sir...are a mad man...

LOLS!!!

mad man indeed!

I think the shear torque of that two floor house on wheels will twist the car, and the road beneath it, completely.

Edit: Not two floors, more like three floors.

This thing can move continents.

More like the planet underneath those continents.
