My mock-up shows how i intend to put off potential punters using me as their brakes (i doubt it will work tho :) )

Just like to point out you used incorrect punctuation in that last sentence though. There was no need for commas as there was only two subjects of matter and not three.

Actually, the commas are fine. In English, you can use commas to add some extra info to a sentence. Almost like parentheses () only a bit different. Here's an example... He drove his new car, a 2010 Maserati Spyder, to the fancy restaurant.

Sorry mate, which spelling would you like me to use? Where I come from we spell some words differently to you.

Use the spelling that is correct to your native version of English.

Also I could have sworn this was an internet forum, but there you go, you learn something new everyday.

Indeed it is an internet forum. It just happens to be one where we uphold decent standards of both writing and behaviour.

A comma is used the way you explain but they are also used to connect an independent clause to a dependent clause. 👍 By that I mean- He drove his new car, a 2010 Maserati. "He drove his new car" is a Independent clause. "A 2010 Maserati" is dependent, so you connect the two with a comma. Another thing I see done technically wrong is people will write 5, instead of spelling five. :dopey:

I would much rather have a deep car customization feature than have a livery editor. Something like creating cars similar to those of the "GT Concept" cars. I do have a feeling though that this can be achievable and that PD made these examples solely to give the audience a taste of what to expect.

nah you want this one :sly:

although when did they use the 34 car  iirc it was only 427 yellow car in 2002 and in 2003 there was the red 05 car and the yellow 427 along with the red 05 nations car (thats 3 out of the 5 made and another went to the uk which is the 4th so that could be the 5th one i didnt know about)

Must have been a nations cup car.

The one i want is the number 427 car though.

Let's see... I would take a Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR-1 and make the livery similar to the livery of the C2 Stingray racecar from GT4.

A basic livery, but I like it.

I would like to do what I did in Forza and adapt NASCAR liveries onto supercars.

This one is probably my best

I also did this car for a league I was in.

If Kaz can put the livery editor in, I'd turn the Escort WRC into this (as more than likely the Sierra won't be around!).

Just to get revenge on that stinking Winfield R32 that Jay put up and re-live Bathurst 1992 ALL OVER AGAIN. :mischievous:

I've noticed quite a few Aussie ones here so why not add another!? 2009 Clipsal 500 Safety Car (Nissan R35 GT-R)

Aussie Aussie Aussie....

I'd make a "Trans Tasman Racing" Skin for our race team.:)

Trans Tasman Racing

I'd also possible make a few other aussie touring cars ones on the R32 or something.

Saw this on a trip to the Nürburgring in 2007:

And I've only just realised it's one of the Art Cars liveries (it has the CA signature anyway, not sure how good the reproduction is) applied to an M3 CSL. Still, this is something that is relevant to my interests.

Actually now that I think about it, do you know what would be REALLY awesome? A mode where you get on to the Nürburgring at night with spray paint and graffiti on it, and then people racing online can see it. Over time it fades away so other people get a go. That, I must say, will never happen.

Aaaahh!!! Is it a good idea to think about the livery of your car without knowing if it's included in GT5 and also know it IS included in Forza 3? :P Howeve I would make the Ken Block livery.

There is one problem with editor: there are a lot of people with horrible taste who paint cars absolutely horribly and post screens everywhere.

If PD wants every image of game looks like art, this is not a way to go. Poorly painted cars can be VERY BAD looking.

This ^ I agree 800%, because I don't want to see Gran Turismo turn into this:

This on the other hand, is a great example of how people should edit their livery.

I think that People should paint the cars the way they like them, i know there are going to be LOADS of ugly liveries, but thats the greatest thing of all, the game allowing you to do what you want, either I dont want to see Body kits like that though.

Besides that, wouldnt be funny to bug this ricers in a race, or creating a GTP contest where you have to create a ricer and then set lap times with it :sly:

There is a very big problem with this, personal choice and freedom of creativity. Who am I to dictate to someone else what a tastfull design for thier car can and can't be. I agree there is a possiblity of a lot of bad looking cars, but there's scope for some amazing cars too. There are badly designed racing cars in the GT games already imo, theres a few cars that I didn't like the look of but others did. That never put me off the game or racing against them or sometimes even racing as them.

How a car looks either by shape or paint scheme is purely a matter of individual opinion. There are ugly cars in the GT games, there are great looking ones, there are horribly painted cars and there are great ones. All an editor would be doing is allowing you to use your creativity to design and share something you like. All that will concern me is my own creativity and sharing it with likeminded people. Thoes with different tastes will no doubt be more concerned with thier own opinion and the opinions of people who have similar tastes as thiers.

The one thing people who dislike ugly liveries have to realize, if there were no bad ones you wouldn't appreciate the good ones.

That sounds more like Grand Theft Auto than Gran Turismo.
