Would it piss you off? Also, if they do, how much are you willing to pay?

Overall, it's like buying half a game at full price and paying extra for the rest of it.

If you dont want it, dont buy it? You bought the disc of content you had when installing, anything else, patches, free DLC is bonus, noone is forcing you to pay extra.

I can't argue with that. It's nice when they add bonus DLC like they did in GT5P but they are in no way obligated to offer it for free.

True, but its shady business practices, and it might hurt the series long term. Also, there are some features that are displayed on the box but not in the game yet.

Pretty much this.
Even if the game only had the Premium cars that are already in it and there weren't any standard cars, it'd still be an incredibly awesome game. :)

Since they said "update" not "DLC" or "add on" or "New content" I assume it'll be free anyway. And If it is free, then They'll earn major respect from me because almost no company these days gives out anything more than a few bug fixes for free.

I'm kind of expecting everything that wasn't on the disc to cost money at this point in time. (For all games) So if I get anything for free, then I'm happy.

Well for the standards that really should've been premiums.....nothing, but for new cars (e.g Lambo Balboni) yes. About £8 for 10 cars (good cars)

It all depends on the cost to be honest. I'd expect the game to be improved free of charge to what is advertised on the box.

I'd pay for NEW premium cars, and I'd pay for certain standard cars to receive the premium treatment, but only a few quid for a dozen cars, not 20 quid for 4 cars

I bet there will be atleast 2 Civics and Skylines. Same models that we already have too.
Personally, I want the GNX, Silverado SS, 240ZG, Iroc Camaro Concept.

Well, GT5 has a ton of content and they didn't put cars up for download on release day so I wouldn't feel it was as shady as say EA and the pre-release day DLC on the PSN for download or being able to buy a "time savers" code that unlocks everything. (Although.. I'd be tempted to get something like that for GT5. I CANNOT pass the final AMG intermediate full lap of the nurburgring to get my final gold and unlock the 24-hr Nurburgring time change track!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! :ouch: )

I'd pay... hmmm.. .99 for a car. That wouldn't be too bad. If they charged more I'd be a little put off and be a lot more selective and not buy as many.

Man I hope they don't upgrade the Veyron, but I'm sure they will. I'd love to see more Kei's and 90s cars upgraded. GNX would be amazing, as would the Stratos. I'm almost positive the Countaches will be upgraded, we NEED those for photo travel. That 2010 standard Jag will be upgraded as well I'm sure.

At any rate, I REALLY doubt they're going to charge for this. I'll pay if they do, but I really just don't see it happening.

Not a dime for anything already in the game, should've/would've been included if they could've.
Otherwise, depends on cars.
97 T/A? 10$ :)

No one should pay for a developers mistake of making an unfinished game, especially those who paid for the collectors/signature edition.
The only dlc people should pay for are things that were never on the disc.

Oh you mean like the premium car models the update will be adding to the game >_>

It's not like they're unlocking interiors and textures that were just hidden on the disc.

While I'm confident that this premium upgrade pack won't cost anything, I'm POSITIVE that patches tweaking the game and fixing issues will never cost anything. Just look at Prologue.

ohhh Pontiac Firebird in GT?? I'd give em a blank check, fill it in, just gimme gimme gimme!!

I'd feel bad for you if they charge you the same price as a real Firebird, and you payed for that instead of the actual car.. :sly:

Truth

It's getting annoying how a few people complain about the prices of things. If you don't want it, don't get it. It's easy as breathing but for some, I guess they can't handle pocket change even though they just spent $600+ for a PS3 system +games

I'd pay for NEW cars, as in cars that are already missing from the game. But if its the same car thats already in the game as standard. No....that would be wrong, IMO..

Like alot of people have said, it depends on what cars they do.

I do feel that they are obligated to include stuff that was mentioned on the box for free, but anything extra they can charge away, and people will vote with their wallets :)

To me it completely depends. I didn't cancel my preorder when I found out about the standard/premium model discrepancy. At that point I made a conscious decision to give Sony/PD my $50 for the quality of product that was delivered. That said, I do feel that if I had to pay to upgrade the most egregiously poor standard models, I'd be insulted. But knowing my lack of impulse control, I'd probably buy it through gritted teeth.

I do think it's an opportunity for PD to curry some goodwill and provide a free premium pack that focuses on the most jarring of the standard models, the ones that obviously have no business being in a PS3 game.
