Not until they get the big corporate sponsorship, no. Then they can break all the stuff they want, and next week it'll look good as new.

Drifters spend all their money on tyres. They can't afford to get bodywork fixed :p

:sly: Great point!

What a ridiculously happy car, it should go prance in a field full of wild flowers somewhere with the new Mazda 3.

A Mazda 3 and a Mugen S2000 should not and never can be compared in the same grouping. A 'happy' car? Explain. I think it's a great car, the S2000 let alone the Mugen S2000. Mazda 3? Lady Gaga fan chick car, it screams girl car :yuck:.

Yeah you can't seriously expect to pass inspection with a Cusco, and if you're looking for serious rigidity the Cusco wont get you there.
I'd rather spend $500 on a cage from Jegs and weld it in myself.

Erm....Cusco Bolt In Roll Cage's are MSA Approved for Motorsport so not exactly made from pipe cleaners.

Or because they don't care if it's got damage as long as they can get on the track and drive the piss out of the car and not have to worry about dinging the new paint.

There's plenty of good reasons to not bother with messed up bodywork.

That too. If people knacker bits of bodywork doing awesome drifts then fair play to them. I don't mind if they don't get it fixed because at the end of the day their car is there to be used.

Great post, and I love this one more than any of the others (yes, I'm not big on watanabe on the 5) If I ever had the luck to own a gen1 mx5 I'd definitely go for the Work Equip 3.

I do really like those wheels actually, but I suspect getting hold of some like that in the UK would be quite difficult. It's not easy finding Watanabes. And certainly not in my budget. If I go down that route I'll probably be getting some proper Minilites or Minatours.
