How do you inser another members quote when you are replying or making a new thread? I can do quote but it doesn't have the part that says "originally posted by ..." thanks

You can type in the [ quote] and [/ quote] as well as "Originally posted by____" yourself.

Is this what you're asking?

Like Der Alta has already pointed out, you can type in the [quote] [/quote] tags yourself or you can use the vB Code toolbar to insert the quote tags for you (see this page for more on this).

The "Originally posted by..." message is only automatically inserted when you click on the quote button for a particular post. Otherwise, you will have to insert it yourself.

What I do is sometimes run two browser tabs. Then I use one for a research window, and hit the "quote" button for a post I want to reference. Then I copy the automatic text to the clipboard, and either use the "back" button if I'm replying in the same thread, or switch to the other tab if I'm replying to a different thread.
