I just got a question about the rules.

The olr state the white line is the edge of the track and not the curbs.. this make sense

But in the rules on page one in this thread it's stated that the curbs are part of the track.. still it says the white line is the edge of the track.. this doesn't make sense. Since I never see the white line outside the curbs.

3. Cutting Corners
This one is quite simple. At least two wheels must remain in contact with the track at all times possible. Curbs are counted as part of the track. That green asphalt you see just behind the curb? That’s not part of the track. Those handy white lines they paint at the edge of the tracks are what defines the track edges.

I just had to read the rules over again after seeing the video posted from a practice round on La Sarthe.. where corners were cut like crazy

The video of Le Sarthe is the absolute extent of which corners can be cut on that track. It's the only track I'm going to be more lenient on regarding cutting.

The white line is the edge of the track, but if there is a curb, then you're allowed to use it. As per real racing rules.

The question wasn't if I could use the curbs or not, more if all 4 wheels could cross over the white line if two wheels still was touching the curbs.

I don't mean to question your rules, I just want to understand them, and you made it a bit clearer :)

If there is a curb you can go over the white lines as long as you keep at least 2 wheels within the curb. If there isn't a curb then you can't go over the lines just like in real life racing. :)

Edit: I just noticed I can now upload videos longer than 15 minutes on youtube :D

This week we should be half-way through the championship, yet we haven't even attempted race 2.

We'll continue with the championship as normal, we've done more practice races than we have normal races!

Awesome, can't wait :)

I hope you got my last stint on there, catching Phil and taking him on the last lap has to be up there with one my favourite races.

Infact, I'll rank my favourite online championship races I've competed in:

1) Valencia F1 2011 (almost chose Monaco here, but I made a mistake at Monaco and none at Valencia)
2) Monaco GT5 - All Series Championship
3) Suzuka - Intercontinental GT500

I'm SO desperate to race now. I had a perfect set-up and great speed on Le Sarthe before PSN went down..

same here... it's getting time now! I don't feel the need to put my P-station on without online modus. Last weekend i was so bored, i did the licences tests again :), still need few golds to break

Race 1 at Suzuka. Watch in HD and don't forget to like.:D

Video may still be processing, it might take upto an hour for HD quality.

Really nice, but now I miss PSN even more!!

But, nice driving everyone :)

Hi all, i recently changed my workplace and won't have time to participate i the championship. So with this post i want to be signed out of the championship. Ty hf racing.

Joey, will you post the video of every race because we could keep a note of everything interesting we did to create a highlights package.

PSN goes back up this week!!! :) :) :)

So La Sarthe this Saturday now then? :D

Definitely!

I just hope people haven't forgotten and turn up this weekend :(

Anyone up for some practice later after the EU servers are back online?

Are singups really still open? Just want to make sure, as there are already 18 drivers...

Arkano, the OP needs updating with all the drivers and cars. :)
I'm using the Takata Dome NSX 06 now don't forget. ;)

Btw, the UK servers are still down :( and apparently Portugal is back up right now.

I'll thoroughly update them after this weekends race.

Signups are still open! We'll find out this weekend how many drivers we really still have.

Would you mind if I joined? I am a big fan of JGTC, but I don't have any organized online racing experience in GT5 yet. Just want to make sure I can handle it before singing up :)

IGN: Vatrox, updating system right now, about to see if the PSN is up here too.

EDIT//
PSN still playing dead in Poland. I will keep trying.

Sure you can :)
i'm only going to be on for about another half hour though.

if you're gonna do the race this may 21st I cannot be with you :grumpy: I have my work convention this weekend :(

i'm so sad :banghead:

I also will not be able to make it the 21st. Bowling Birthday Party for my oldest son. Double digits! Celebrating his 10th.

Sorry guys but I wont be delaying the championship after we've already had a 3-week hiatus. I'm not expecting a decent turnout either way..

I hope i recieve my T500 on friday. becaus my DFGT gradual loose it's FFB-strenght.

i hope i will get used to it very fast. i exspect to be better anyway. i drove whit a wrong setup at suzuka, but it will be better at Le Mans. I hope it will be enough to battle other cars at the back of the grid.

Before the PSN outage I managed to get 3:47's with draft and 3:48's without on La Sarthe but now since the PSN is has come back online the fastest I can get is a 3:50 and the tyre wear is worse. :(

It's because the track hasn't been used in a while so it needs to be rubbered in again. :sly:

GTRacer! Are you going to show up this weekend? :)

I'll try and get on PSN tomorrow. But I've got 3 exams next week and a Law re-sit this Friday, so I wont be on too much.
