Hey Akano, I was happy to participate your race last saturday. I started 8th and after some laps I did a mistake on the grass and then I was 11th. But then I did a very good 2nd stint and at the end I managed to arrive 7th.

But I have to withdraw from this championship because my WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor :nervous:) does not permit me to play on the weekend :ouch: :banghead:

Oh look. Another drop out.

Thanks for participating in one race at least.

Not everyone have it like me I suppose. If I talk to my girlfriend when I race I get one reply, shut up and focus on the race. And she brought me water in the middle of the race at Laguna.. I guess my FAF (Fiance Acceptance Factor) is higher than your WAF :)
Sad to see you leave gippone, but I understand why.

Was doing this while you guys had fun racing. However no pain no gain. This build should be worth it. ;)

Note not me pictured.

Looks like you'll have a great setup to play with!

It'll be even better if you make the rest of the races this season...;)

If you say he's fast we're all screwed:scared:

The flowers are given at the finish isn't it? fast or not fast :)

I will be online this evening for some practice...
Did a 1.42.987 yesterday monza, no idea if it's good or bad. The car feels good, but i need some practice.

Well, my best is 1:44.8** so I guess I will need more practice. I join you if you don't mind :)

I be happy if I do a 1:43 to be honest :)

edit: just got 1:43.943, I'm getting there :)

My best so far on monza has been a 1:42.32x. I tend to keep messing up at the turn after the second chicane by turning too soon and hitting the barrier,:ouch: I think with more practice on that turn I might be able to shave of 3 or 4 tenths.

Maybe it's too much oversteer?

My best atm is a 1:41.xxx, or is it a 1:42.xxx....I can't remember :L

Race ready!

That's epic, love the massive TV as well; where exactly do you live so I can steal see it.

Holy heck Owen O_O

That's awesome! I want one :(

I'm afraid you'll have to stick with your wheel stand pro. If it makes you feel any better, I have a desk and an office chair for a cockpit. :dopey:

I'm hosting Monza practice now for a few hours, just join my lounge. ;)

Edit: I'm really struggling to average 1:42's now, I don't know if it's my driving or the servers but the other day I was able to average mid to high 1:42's for around 7 laps before they dropped to 1:43's but these past two days I've only managed to average 1:43's with the occasional 1:42, I haven't changed my setup either. Still though 1:43 isn't bad considering I can go 14 -15 laps before my times get too low. :)

I'll be on GT5 for some practice in about half an hour, just getting my safety rating up in iRacing at the moment.👍

Sorry I'm going out at 8 tonight. If you see me on PSN it's because I'm downloading one of the free games.

Sorry can't make it tonight got a bbq to go to :(

Well, 10 minutes until qualy starts. Is Owen ever going to turn up to a race? LOL.

Wow, quite the race! Was fighting with GP all the way through the first stint, then the pit crew decided to leave me stuck in the pits for 3 seconds, so I lost like ~7 seconds of my 10 second lead to GP. Got stuck behind Netherdragon and then GP caught up, but I managed to pull out ahead of Netherdragon as he held up GP.

Then towards the end it was literally just making sure I didn't make any mistakes. I went into the race intended to two stop at laps 12 & 24, but I couldn't risk GP getting me through a one-stop, and the tyres were lasting longer than in free run, although it was getting close at the end of the first stint.

Good race all in all, I didn't see any major cock-ups from my perspective. Unlucky for Netherdragon too :p

Had a great race, the start was a bit dodgey though as someone pushed through the middle of everyone (didn't see who) and I ended up near the back but I quickly got back upto 5th after a few laps including a 360 spin :D. Had quite a battle with Ying Yang and then a little battle with GP but I'm sure GP wasn't really trying as he had a few good opportunities to pass me but didn't untill I made a mistake.
I pit on laps 12 and 24 and straight after my 1st pitstop the race was then just like a time trial for me as I came out in clean air with no one near me. I passed phil while he was in the pits to take 4th and after my last pitstop I learned to brake more effectively shortening my braking distances a liitle bit and was slowly gaining on Neterdragon and luckly for me he ran out of fuel and I passed him on the straight after lesmos to take 3rd but had he not ran out I doubt I would have caught up in time. All in all though a fun race and my first podium finish. :)

Well done Arkano and congratulation with the win :) for my part I just lost focus just before race start. did more mistakes than I ever done before.. it was amazing, I never seen the track from those perspective's before.

Good Race everyone.

Now I'm gonna kick the ass of the kid next door.. that had a party all night long making it impossible to sleep :)

Man, what a ****** race for me... made all the worst mistakes at the wrong time.

Happy with 5th though, unfortunate for Netherdragon though! :P

Great race, finally not a last place. My goal was not to be last. But i had the feeling i could do better today.

My start was perfect. But i got bumped in the first corner. I did a nice donut, and started the race again from behind. However my pace was decent, and compared to other races i was very concentrated, made no mistakes at all. I gradually crawled behind YingYang, Andre and Joey. All pitted early, I was confident whit the tyres and still holding the pace, so i decided to switch to a 1-stop strategy. Now running in 4th place a yellow car overtaked me and i lost my focus becaus of it. A crash in the fast chicane was my punishment. Still whit this mistake things looked good. My tyres started to drop of a cliff. had to brake early and lost seconds each lap. But everything still looked fine. But now i made my biggest mistake, i stayed out 1 lap to much. Made a crash again at the highspeed chicane, my tyres were gone. I had to crawl to the pits. I lost all my time, and after my stop i got behind YingYang and andre again.

I knew nothing was lost. I had the better tyres, and catched-up easy. Andre pitted when i came near him and YingYang decided to park hes car in the wall, to bad, i looked forward to battle whit him. Kyaw was behind me becaus of a pitstop and started to attack me. I knew he was faster + he had better tyres. But i was counting on the slipstream. I got Bumped a few times, i think he did't now i had to brake quite early. After some laps the battle ended in a disaster, on the (start/finish)straight, i choose to outbrake him on the right side, but he was waving to the right side, i had nowhere to go so i hit the grass while braking. Lucky my gap whit YingYang and Andre was big enough.

I was maybe the slowest, but i had the feeling if i had a better start i could end up in the midfield...

did someone else did a 1 stop-strategy?

Me, GP and Netherdragon all did 1-stops. Although Netherdragon pitted on lap 12 and went to the end of the race whereas me & GP both pitted on lap 18.

I found that towards the last ~4-5 maybe even 6 laps of the last stint, the car began to really slide a lot more, so I was losing about three tenths a lap in the first sector, but I kept the time in the second & third sectors.

I don't think anyone beat my third sector time, but we'll see :sly:

Thought I mentioned earlier. Maybe forgot to update. However, Today was my nieces graduation party.

While I was hoping to get out of there in time. We had a nasty storm pop up. Trees down, moved trailers around at our shop. It finally settling down.

I don't miss races by choice. I definitely rather be racing. :(

Feel terrible not being there.

Ah that's fine :)

I should open up a betting pool for which race you'll attend first haha :sly:
