Bathurst is like the Nordschleife to me. Great track to drive, great track to race on in real life. When it comes to sim racing, there's always those guys who don't understand "what not to do," and ruins things for everyone.

I agree. It only takes one guy near the front end of the field to mess it up for everyone. It's not going to be a particularly enjoyable sim racing track, I feel.

Interlagos should be better than Bathurst I think. There's only a couple of sections where it could be dicey. With Bathurst, two thirds of the track is no passing/no run off.

Yeah, I like Bathurst's ups and downs but the walls I don't like much. Interlagos should be pretty fun, can't wait.

Here's some online fun at it with the Mini Cup on Game Stock Car:

Just watched the tail end of your race Mac, you started to catch that Tamas guy then made a mistake with a few laps to go. You held off Sergei though, that guy was coming. I also jumped in and ghosted you a few laps, we seem to be running similar laps.

Ya got some of the grass, never had that happen like that before, I'd driven over that spot like that before.. Tamas got by me a few laps earlier than started to pull away, I made it my goal to hold off Sergei as he is only 6 points ahead of me in my division championship. Was a good race though, nice and clean. I should be in a Grand Touring Cup race tonight sometime, maybe see you there?

I have work tonight, im gonna catch the next Mustang race though. I havent raced yet for the week so i need to put some points on the board. Ive gotta get rid of some oversteer on this track, ive found by softening the rear rebound setting it helps. Maybe im just so used to the MX5 on this track, the Mustang doesnt dart through corners like that one can.

Do you have a setup for it? I've just been using a baseline setup with some minor changes. :p

Yea I really don't think that is a track dependant problem though, one mistake at the front is bound to cause problems for everyone at pretty much every track.
I'm really looking forward to Bathurst, Interlagos and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, but yea I'm expecting carnage at all of them

Anyone ever experience a "black screen freeze" when trying to load a session? I just tried to join a race in the Grand Touring Cup and had this happen, was 3 laps down by the time I re-connected.. I've had it happen once before, ironically last season in the Grand Touring Cup on Mosport.. Pretty frustrating as I just lost a bunch of IR..

Thanks for this set up! It got me a 3rd place in my first Mustang Challenge race!

I haven't been on since whatever the update was this morning but what did they actually update?

Is it weird that Atlanta fixed setup is fine for few laps then loose and then perfect after about 10 laps so. It's weird that my lap times after I get down to 30.4-30.6 area stay there for 30 laps or so (most ive run on single run)? I find it a little odd overall.

On a good note I was 25 in points in my division which is a first! Once I get all the tracks, trucks will be running for overall, I like other classes but trucks are always my favorite even in real life.

While flicking through the tv channels today i've found that motors tv in the uk is running a season 2012 highlight show featuring Nascar, grand prix racing and sports cars all from iracing. Its on at 14.15 gmt time today.

Wow.. Tyres pressures, cross weight, ARB preload... I have a tough time tuning in GT, going to be a nightmare when I finally get my iRacing account! Hopefully that won't be too long either. Aiming for the new year and can't wait :D

That is pretty cool, who knew video games would get so far as to making National TV. I bet not many thought of it when gaming first started.

Crap, I finally get some time to log on after a busy week on the road, and the service is down :(

Well that was a waste of 2 hours! I'm sure some of guys here were in the same split for the ISR 200 (Shaun was in our split and spun right infront of me) but holy wreck fest.

Congrats on B license! I will say road racing is alot harder overall to get licenses and maintain them than oval side.

My sticky throttle pedal is super 🤬 me off. I feel like hitting it because evrytime I brake the throttle causes me to lock the brakes.

I'm gonna try and fix this before I go out again.

Are the car boundaries a bit buggy in Iracing?

I just completed a race in the Riley at mid-ohio. I had a good battle in mid race and at the end of the race. It was a very fair but hard battle between two guys who at all times gave room for the other car. Between Those battles we recieved twice Car contact x0. No big deal but at replay its very obvious we didn't hit each other. There was room between the cars.
I also saw this in videos whit openwheel cars were contact happen whitout a reason. sometimes whit a deathly crash.

Can't they tweak or fix this, becaus to me it looks very importent. :scared:
