Road America boggles me, I run a 50 minute race on the edge and everything’s fine, but as soon as I start the next race 2nd lap take a corner exactly the same as I did in the last race, spin and destroy the car. :confused:

Didn’t hear any grass noise just the rumble strip whine. The replay also didn’t show any dust from the grass.

Maybe check the tyre temps. I've noticed that if the rear temps are more than 10 degrees hotter than the front that can cause oversteer quite badly even without pushing the car. Also if the front tyres are 10 degrees or more above the rears the cars wants to understeer.
Try adjusting the camber or tyre pressures to get the temps roughly equal front and rear and see if it makes a difference, although it might vary from car to car but it might be worth trying. ;)

In the race, i was on a straight i was on the outside and he says clear from that moment the other car moved his car towards me. I got stuck between the other car and the wall. Lucky i could control the car and the damage was limited, but it ruined the race.

Someone had this too? What use does a spotter have if its not doing his job.

Download a new spotter pack then. :)
 
I just ordered the parts I need for my pc upgrade. It should be here Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Hopefully I can get some racing done since I'm off for the most week next week.

Just a friendly word of advice, if you can't see their front bumper then they are going to still be there. The oval side is a little different as sometimes it's easy to say clear but really the guy might have a run at the same time.

If the car has adjustable mirrors try turning them outwards.
The default settings on the star mazda are pretty useless since half the mirror is looking at the side of my own car...
When was the last time the side of my car ran in to itself?

Superbike, does the Oculus Rift do 2D as well as 3D. I would assume so, but just checking. If so, which setting do you think you'll drive with?

was thinking about it but it's the mclaren (not a fan of it unlike most).
might give it a bit of practise to see how competitive I would be (don't need to win but won't make a tit of myself and ruin someone else's race)

Well I don't like the McLaren, but I'm planning on running the HPD in the ProtoICE later in the year, so this event would help me see the other guys driving styles.

Anytime, I just hope it's not one of those situations where Iracing blames the financial side, and the financial side blames iRacing.
Sort of like a 'paying incident' - no one takes the blame, but your still out of the race :lol:
 
Pretty gutted that I won't be racing the SRF @ Mosport for the week just ending. Love it, but can't keep it on track for long enough.

Lots of practice means I'm running consistent 1:41.x without pushing too hard, which I'm happy with, but surprise errors all over. Wrong line/speed on entry and I can't correct...

Hope they keep it for next season. Next up for me : Spa (on test run I was 20 s off pace, so some work to do!)
 
Looks like I'm iRacing single screen for a week or so. Went to build a new computer (not really upgraded, just smaller) with a ITX motherboard and Bitfenix Prodigy case but forgot my Asus 7970 was a monster of a card (takes 3 slots) and don't have room. I love the case I got, so not giving it up, so I went ahead and took the opportunity to order a GTX 680. Hopefully it will be here in 4 or 5 days so I can make the big Sunday split Proto/GT with triple screens.

On another related note, running the i7-2600k's onboard graphics (Intel HD3000) is a surprisingly good experience. I did a little practice in the HPD and at 4xAA and 4xAF with medium-high settings I'm getting minimum of almost 80fps at Suzuka of all places. I'm really surprised onboard graphics performed that well. Single screen 1920x1080 of course.

Well ProtoICE and PolarGT isn't all about winning...

Sure you get $400 if you do but there is cash prizes for safest driver (have to run at a suitable race pace still), hard charger etc.

Plus you get to meet some fast guys, learn new things, make new friends.

I know I won't be going for top, especially if Greger Huttu is there, but some of the other awards are still up for grabs for us 'lower drivers'. :)

1pm Eastern on Sundays? It seems all the best leagues are at times when I can't race. I can do pretty much any night, but it's got to be at least 9pm (after the kids are in bed).

I'm the same. I would really like to do a league but need it to be around 10pm est or so any day.
