So... how do you do it? I can't find anything on the iRacing forums about it..

documents>iRacing>app.ini

Scroll to the section labeled "View" (It's the second to last section)

driverHeightAdj=-0.035000 ; Range -0.050m to 0.050m (approx. +/- 2 in.)

Save.

Am I only one who had some issues with new paint? It seems that black in the number won't allow me to change it.

Thank you kind sir 👍

May be too low for the 79 then. Or, does the 79 have super small tires? Can't remember as I don't own it. Generally when you make a seat for a Formula Car, you should be able to see half of the distance from the top of the tire to the top of the Wheel rim on the inside sidewall.

Lotus has small front tyres.

F1 car I can see halfway to the rims.

Just for reference, in the legend car you should only see a very small amount of hood behind the hood pin basically if all you can see is the hood pin in the distance that's close.

I got my Flight sound X today and plugged in my David Clark HS-13 S and... HOLY 🤬 I thought the corvette and V8SC had ungodly sounds before, but now.... I don't have words to describe the sound it's that amazing!!!! And the Legend doesn't sound like vacuum cleaner anymore, it sounds like a real legend!!!!! Let's just say that a buttkicker isn't as high on my list as it was.
And I got my DSD pedal pads today but I haven't had the time to put them on, I've been running the Caddy all night because the sound of all 5 cars is AMAZING:drool::drool:!!!

Edit: that's the best race I ran in a long time! my only mistakes were a couple off tracks but no spins:)

Agreed ! I have never spent so much time in the Caddy since this week , and half of that time is watching replays with the volume up nice and high. Genuine goosebumps :D I mean he Kia is fun ..... but I have rediscovered the Caddy !

Joined a free practice session in the Kia last night at Okayama. Great fun. Hitting mid to low 1:37s round there. Less than a second off the fastest times in that session.

Finally healthy enough to race. I felt terrible this week and have been avoiding races since. Those 24 hours of fun races are fun most of time. I still can't drive the mx-5 since I'm used to older builds of the car. I have tried to change my driving style but I still spin the car.

I guess I got rid of the lag issue also. It seems as if it was a virus in my computer using up most of my bandwidth.

Yesterday was the first DWC race after the update. Any word on changes to the F1 physics? I remember DWC drivers complained about it three months ago, saying drifting on the limit had become uncatchable. Is the issue fixed/improved?

The FW31 feels much better now. Last season it's tyre model was a mess and it constantly had 4 wheel drifts that caused the car to understeer wide, this was most noticeable at tracks like Interlagos. It also had a limit at which you could drive, and if you crossed that limit the car would have some weird oversteer issues making the car unpredictable and giving it a horrible feel that wasn't nice to drive. It also prevented a lot of close racing as drivers didn't have the confidence in the car.

This season it feels a lot better so far and even in test sessions there have been some super happy drivers trying moves they wouldn't dare to do on the old tyre model.

Also the setups last season were completely un-realistic, whereas now they seem to have to be set up closer to how they would be in the real world.

I did a solo test last night at Okayama in the Kia and hit a 1:37.0XX.

I'll check the forums and check the time. If it suits then why not!

I'll definitly hop in tonight unsure about other weeks though.

On compounds:

Is definitely there in this build but still not as evident as it was when I was modding, no doubt due to not having compound modeling yet.

The iRacing McLaren, for instance, uses tires with 60 parts hundred rubber (phr) filler, 15 phr oil and other compound soup elements. All of the other cars have different compound mixtures.

Don't the tyres still loose grip with temperature at all time, optimum is at ambient which at best may be 40'C? Compound can't be right if optimum is that low, that's what I meant by compound modeling. From what you said, sounds like we do have some compound modeling already which creates more difference between the cars, great but what about optimum temperature?

Compounds effect the performance of the tires in many ways, obviously. However, from one tire to the next, even sometimes with drastic differences, the performance isn't wholly different. In the case of temperature performance, there are weaknesses in the tire code on members where the tires produce optimal grip offset from where they should. Dave has been and continues to work on that.

Can you quote more from Eric?

I just bought the perfect pedal and the direct plug in cable (I forgot the name already, bodena cable or something).

I can't wait to try it out

Im still stuck in what to race..... If I'm racing in the grand am it will be the Dp but in the GT Challenge the McLaren. But i want to race the V8s and the kia ugh so many choices. What series do you think I should run in? And what will have he most numbers?

I think the Caddy is making a comeback and it's great fun for a lot of people,

hopefully tonight I can run with the NW guys in our Blue vs green challenge, (winners pick car/ track combo) blue is WA & AK and green is OR, ID, & MT. And the first race is kia, caddy, & mustang at Laguna Seca :)

Has anyone tried the SRF recently I'm actually curious on people's thoughts on how much it has changed.

I guess it is set making time. Season 2 just started and I'm off to a bad start.

I apologize Patrocles for the incident during the World Challenge race. I was hoping you would have ran your line since I had plenty of time to catch 2nd (I passed him the next lap).

Anyone know what times I should be running at Okayama Full in the MX5 before I'm ready to actually go on the track? Was consistently hitting 1m56s yesterday but I didn't string a quality lap together and know theres at least another couple of seconds in the first 2 sectors.

Trying to get my road licence up to D so I can start competing in the Kia and Skippy.

Is the non-fixed or fixed version of the Prototype & GT Challenge more popular? I'm hoping non-fixed, seeing as the race length is much more reasonable at 65 minutes. And are the 2 series interchangeable with regards to participation i.e. can you mix and match between the to make up your 8 participated races, or are they treated as separate series?

You can find the Hot Split info here:

Those are pretty much the dates and times everyone comes out to play, the top dogs are there, big fields and competition is always great, I'm pretty sure you'll love it!

Thanks for that Jav! Do you feel like joining me for some practice (if you still race the Vette that is), or anyone else for that matter? :)

I'm off today(kind of) but have a few things to do during the day, what time you have in mind?

Any time really. I'm off all day so I'll be on and off until tonight (next 10 hours or so) having a go at Okayama and trying to develop a setup. Seeing as the practice sessions aren't booming just post here or shoot me a PM. :)

I'll be using the SRF and Star Mazda this season, the SRF will be used in a league championship as well. Starts next tuesday at Laguna Seca. I was doing some laps last night, trying to get a good setup going. So far I managed a 1:41.2 for PB, had a 40.9 with an off-track but my optimal is 40.4 so I think I can get a clean lap in the 40s.

So I’m going to run the DP in Grand-Am this season. The car feels nicer to drive (for me). anyone have any ideas for me to paint my DP?
