I feel no love for brazilians in this thread. :(

It's Senna's fault though, he said second place is the first to lose...

But I agree with you guys to some extent, I usually have much cleaner races in official sessions where most drivers aren't brazilian than in the league races I do where they all are. That's partly because hosted sessions don't affect your SR or iRating so people tend to risk more but some of them simply don't think things through. It's a fourty minutes race and they want to overtake everyone in the first lap...

I tried to stand up for your nationality.

I'm one of the rather small numbers from Canada, and I've never heard complaints about our driving, though. So, is there something going on in Brazil we should know about?

It's not the country we don't like. It's the fact that for every driver that doesn't think like Ayrton Senna on iRacing there are 25 that think they are.

Brazil is a beautiful country, with a fantastic culture and even more fantastic looking women. Trust me, the world would be a much worse looking place with out Brazil. They also produce some of the most insane technical footballers as well.

Little behind on this, but figured I'd say something anyway:

I love the new sounds, cars have a lot more meat and vibrancy to their notes. Only small nitpic is that while the sounds are improves, the Doppler effect in relation to the tracks seem off. The car will pass by and will have that distinctive change in volume as it gets farther away, but its missing that deflective echoing when you hear a car going around parts of the track that are at a much greater distance or in a enclosed track.

Really annoying day today. Racing the NASCAR Class B at Charlotte and having fun doing it, but getting into some door and bumper banging battles is killing SR. It's all good natured with everyone, no malice or intent but boy it's annoying.

I know SR is there to help in the long term but sometimes it can kill the fun of racing NASCAR.

Hopefully I can get some practice time for 500 on Saturday morning. My modem went out yesterday and took all day it correct (replaced it but took hours to connect).

After reading things online, I know should practice alot this week but haven't had time.

Who is going to race the Indy 500? Some of the practice rooms i've joined were wrecks every lap! I guess the races might be a lot of cautions in them :(

I'm not running it. Don't want to mess my sleep schedule up again lol. Last year it was a 6 hour race. Caution for 150 laps. Then the last 50 were green.

Agreed , the recent improvements in iracing sounds are great but the effects you speak of would be the icing on the cake. I havent yet seen any sim come close to replicating that but I'm sure it's not a simple exercise.

I'd also love to see some of the default camera angles match those we see in broadcast races. That fixed camera on the back stretch and the sounds that go with it would be a fantasic addition to the sim :)

I am looking to get back into road so I will be investing in the ford gt tonight :) so I can race road/oval because I'm getting bored of the mclaren

Sorry for the dumb question but where is Grand Am this week? Not near my pc and my phone crashes on the iRacing site. Need to know if I should be up early to set up my wheel :)

I want the vette but I dont want to be slow in it

Once you figure out the brakes the car is a blast to drive. Its fast, loud and if you get it setup correct very stable. I use the same setup on almost every track with only gearing changes for the track. 👍

Fancy sending me your setup then? :P

Does the Skippy get much love these days? Hitting my D Road licence on Tuesday and need to figure out what to run and plan what tracks I'll need to buy.

The Corvette has some decent fixed sets. I can give the guys with their own set ups a run for their money anyway.

I won 2 out of the 3 races I did at Road Atlanta last season on the fixed setup.

I think it's still one of the most popular road series on iRacing. Races every hour, gotta love that.

Cheers. That's a tempting buy, have driven that track since Shift or Grid? You been in the DP this week Spinner?
