They should update Lime Rock as well.

I don't know how they have not updated it. It's about a 2 hour drive from the iRacing HQ to Lime Rock Park.

EDIT: it's almost been a year since iRacing has re-scanned Silverstone.

Thanks all for the answers about the content for oval!

I think I will buy the Truck so :)

No! You shall not race oval! You must practice 24/7 365 days a year for the Pro Series!

Just joking, the trucks are actually quite good, and not bad participation either, with some sensible good drivers as well.

Hehe :D

Unfortunately I'm not sure at 100% I will race the PRO Series :guilty:

Well I will say the Pocono 400 is one long race in which I only made it to half way after making a mistake in 1.

I need to setup my weight jacker or get a better setup (I can run 42.3's all day long with really pushing it lower but nothing in the 41s at all but thats fine).

Log out, log back in. Hope it's not too late

Nope. Didn't work. It says "No track selected" at the top when you go to select what series you want to run. All other series' are fine and work normally.

It's too late anyway, What a wonderful experience for my first WT event....

I think I just found out, that an old friend of mine from my Forza days is the William Levesque of several top splits... Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

So Cnd and I were talking, and we think we may start a league! Not just a GTP league though, it'll be open to everyone! It'll be loosely based off the Grand Am ALMS merger, with normal races at about 45 minutes and endurance races at 1.5 hours. We've put about 20 minutes into planning it, so it's obviously not final, and we would love some suggestions!

We're thinking for cars:

-HPD
-DP
-Mclaren
-Cadillac

And for tracks:

-Daytona Road
-Watkins Glen
-Mid Ohio
-Road Atlanta
-Laguna Seca
-Lime Rock (For some crazy)
-Montreal
-Barber

Again, we would really like some feedback/ideas! To cover the costs of the league, 5 dollars of iracing credits may be needed, but we're not 100% sure on that.

Also, because you could do the 45 minutes without a pitstop, we will be limiting the fuel in the cars so that you will need to stop in the races.

We think it'll be fun! What do you all think?

I will have to make some purchases, but I'm in.

Well duh you're in... You started the idea to start a league! The tracks aren't really any weird or left field tracks (Maybe one or two) so the tracks shouldn't be a issue. The 5 dollars without prizes may be a issue, unless we had a prize... Which I don't really know what to offer..

Good luck, you'll be about the 10th person in the past two years or so that's starting a league. Jav's first attempt was a good one, unfortunately of the 50 or so guys that signed up we were getting 5-7 come race day.

Starting a league is easy, getting guys out on race day is something else.

That's usually because people sign up before anyone makes a decision on what day and time the races are held at - and that decides whether people race or not.

To be fair, isn't most of the leagues that fail around here because they're GTP only? This is going to be open to non GTP members also from his post.

I think you should charge a entry fee up front for everyone. Budget some of that for servers and have a payout at seasons end. Gives a little more motivation to show up every race.

If the series is promoted well here and on the iRacing forums, I see no reason why it can't be successful.

I’m sick of all those bonehead HPD drivers. I was leading in the corvette by a good 10 seconds and someone thinks it’s a good idea to dive-bomb me from .5 seconds back when I’ve already turned in.

The lack of patience from some people amazes me.

Half a second back isn't that far for an HPD. And besides, driving that car automatically lowers your IQ by 70 points.

With a ten second lead, I'd have happily lost a second or two just to make sure there was no possible way he could take me out. If you had a ten second lead already, you can make up more time again if you need it.

Yea, Polar and I talked about keeping it open so more people have the chance to race. We won't sign anyone up until we know what the time slot will be either, so we don't have the 7-10 people who can't make the time after signing up. Depending on how many entry fees payed will determine the prize at the end if we have one. If we get a ton of interest, we'll definitely give a prize out at the end of the season.

We're pretty solid on the schedule for now. I want VIR in badly, but it's ok if it doesn't end up making it.

Can week 13 count towards your MPR? Because i don’t have anymore late model tracks and want to race the trucks next season.

The thing is he said he had already turned in to the corner, so divebombing even from half a second back is a stupid move if the slower car already has the racing line into the turn.

Also, it has nothing to do with the lead. It is the faster cars responsibility to be patient and find a safe way past, however the slower car is by no means allowed to block the faster car.

Depending on when they will run and all that, I might be interested.

Awesome. We're thinking Friday or Saturday as a tentative day. Not sure at all on the time though.

We're also really considering either swapping or dropping the caddy

It has everything to do with the lead. You have to realise that every other person on the track is a full blown dribbling retard. Where you think "I'm first in my class, they'll wait for a safe passing place" they think "HURR IMMA FAST CAR GO GO GO!".

When you're leading your class, you have everything to lose. Unless second is right on your tail, you let that HPD go and get them as far away from you as possible as quickly as possible.

The only time you make cars obey the rules like that is if you're going to lose positions if you don't. Then you have to make a judgement call on what's the bigger danger, the HPD or the guys in your own class.

With a ten second lead, you let the guy go as soon as you can and drive defensively so that he has absolutely no chance to wreck you. Even at the cost of slowing yourself down and losing a few seconds. Yeah, he broke the rules where he shouldn't have. He lost a bit of SR, but he's probably not losing sleep over it. Who do you think is more pissed, him or you?

First rule of iRacing: Everyone else on track is a mouth breathing window licker who thinks they're Ayrton Senna reborn and it's their natural right to be at the front of the pack.

Stay the hell away from them until they prove uncontrovertibly otherwise, and even then be wary of them suddenly catching the disease.

Well then, in this case, if the HPD takes you out you are definitely allowed to protest them over it. You would probably let them past because you want to be safe, but still what I said is the rules of multiclass racing, and if a HPD divebombs a Corvette that already has the line into the turn then that is no way the Corvette's fault. The Corvette should not have to sacrifice the corner if it has already turned into it, so if the HPD dive bombs, then that is breaking the rules of multiclass racing.

Faster cars must learn to be patient, and the only way they are going to learn to be patient is if they get protested for divebombing a car that already has the racing line into a turn, but this would mean iRacing Staff would actually need to step up and punish them for it rather than just 🤬 footing around it and then not doing anything.
