I'm pretty sure my graphics card can't handle a quadrupling of texture pixels for all cars. Good thing it is a graphics option.
 
Bathurst releases the week my router breaks of course :'(

Almost any graphics card from the past 5 years should be able to handle 8192x8192 textures. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I only have a 1GB card, but I suppose these car textures don't take up that much memory. A field of twenty cars will go from consuming 20MB of texture memory to 80MB. I guess that's not too bad.

When does the new build go live?

It was supposed to be live in 2 hours but, they announced about 4 hours ago that they have to delay it. And it sounds like it won't be out for another 24 hours at the minimum.

Infuriates me because I wanted to drive Bathurst before I have to get on my flight to Dehli.
 
So, on my first full-season racing ever, and with my first Skippy race ever on S3, with only 14 MX-5 races ever prior to this season, I managed to win the Division 3 Championship for the Skip Barber. :D

I'm so proud of myself. I never really got into iRacing very seriously until now, and I always believed that I was just average at best. I ended #41 on the general championship. :)

lost 300 or more irating running trucks at Dega! only 3 gained races out of 14:ouch: I'm so 🤬 angry! if iracing would refund half I would take it!
people need to practice more and hold their 🤬 line and use the spotter and have a mic!! if ya don't know what you are doing don't join!! plain n simple. IMO iracing shouldn't let controllers or mouse or joystick or touchscreen driving race with people that use wheels! they are all over the freaking track!:nervous: taking people out of races and ruining peoples races. this sh t is not very fun anymore! :grumpy: Now i need to build my irating back up so I can race better drivers!

I agree iracing shouldn't let people use anything other than a wheel, but your crashes has nothing to do with that. There might have been a few crazies in your races but that's how superspeedway plate racing goes. It a high speed lottery/wreckfest. That's just how those races are even in real life. I've been on iracing little over 2 years now and I race right much oval but the only time I will ever in my life do a Daytona or Talladega race is if Im running for points in an official series or league. Ive done about 10 of those races in my entire iracing career and I only finished 2 of those. If you want to keep your SR and iR intact its best to stay away from the superspeedways and places like bristol/martinsville. Just best to race tracks like that either in hosted or a league.

It kills me that the forums are down when they install new builds. Who thought it was a good idea to design the system that way?

And why doesn't the Maintenance page have an ETA on it ? Or their Twitter feed/facebook page ? The customer liaison is pretty pants sometimes.
 
To be fair it isn't the end of the world to not be able to post something somewhere for 4 hours.

I think we should be able to download the updates while they are updating all the servers.
 
New Nascar mustang was a very pleasant surprise for me. I LOVE that thing and will be running class b this season. also got bathurst and the mclaren for the three item discount. gonna run them asap!
