Like I mentioned in my previous post, I judged iRacing as a whole based on a heck of a lot more than just the MX-5. But then, I came to iRacing as an oval guy and didn't really care about the road side. I was in the position of judging the service on the basis of the rookie street stock racing experience, which as you may know, is nightmarish at best. If I could enjoy iRacing on that basis, then the so-called flaws in the MX-5, which every rookie was equally burdened with, hardly merited even a raised eyebrow from me.The fixed setup for the MX5 needs to be bulletproof and ultimately very forgiving. It's the basis on which road rookies will judge the service, and if it's a twitchy nightmare to them then it's not going to do it's job.
Are newcomers to iRacing really scrutinizing the MX-5 to such an "expert" degree that the experience I had (and enjoyed once I gave the road side a try) prior to this new build, would make them flee in disgust? That's bewildering to me, to be honest.
