It was worse last season. Nearly all week it was down basically, you were lucky to even find a race.
Oh yea I remember that. GT3 was at Road Atlanta and some people gained like 700 IR because they were the only people whose servers were up for the race and they ran 30 minutes by themselves

I'm beginning to see that GT3 in the late evening is the worst time for me to be in a race :banghead:. Second night in a row after T1, before T2, I get drilled in the quarter panel and CRASH BOOM...tow me back to the pits for a lengthy repair. 1 step forward 1 step back. To finish first, you first must finish. At a loss for words...:gtpflag:

P.S. 2014 BMW Z4 for sale, cheap, low mileage, only been totaled twice, best offer, priced to sell, no offer refused, all specs sheets, tunes and telemetry, will trade for a broke down horse!

GT3 @ Glen classic=road talladega. I can be a second and a half faster than the guys behind me but I get bombed in the carosel. I got 16Xs in the last race from being rear ended 4 times. 3 times by the same Brazilian...

Not gonna lie, in all the years ive been playing online racing games Brazilians always tended to have the worst connections and were always dirty racers , but thats not to say they are all like that.

Any idea how to get any straight line speed? I'm getting everything out of my corner exit in the RUF only to have almost everyone drive by me, even if I'm in the draft. So far I have been trying to lower the rear ( get the rear wing out of the air some more ), it helped but still feel like I'm 5 MPH off. I can't get under ~1:06.7 without sitting in a cars draft.

I would just try and run with the least amount of wing i could but that'll only help so much. I think it all comes down to how good of a launch you get off the corners. Searching for time here is tough because there is not many places to actually find it since your full throttle 80% of the time.

Here is my unofficial-official "look out for these guys" GT3 guide:

1.) Anyone with club Brazil as their primary/secondary sponsor. Double trouble if it's both or with a car that's colored like the flag (not all Brazilians are bad drivers though)
2.) Any Martini Ruf that's not a second faster than every other car in the field. Once again, bonus trouble if the colors are wrong
3.) Any driver who has more than 3 names
4.) Any BMW racing/team RLL livery BMW that's not alien pace
5.) Any driver that complains about being taken out the race before over the mic more than once during warmup
6.) Any driver that revs the engine before the cars roll off for the rolling start
7.) The last 5 of the drivers who qualified in every race always. 2 or 3 of those can't drive
8.) The first 5 of the non-qualifiers. Generally 1 or 2 will be way too impatient

If I have missed any, feel free to add on

9.) The person weaving around, "warming the tire" over aggressively on the pace lap.
10.) Any driver that quotes Senna before a race, normally justifying their actions in the last race.
11.) The 10 year old on the mic.
12.) Any driver that spends the pace lap telling everyone that you can't win a race in turn 1, take it slow, and don't overtake. This driver is normally the rolling chicane.
13.) Any driver with a Q time more than 5 second off the leader.

And my streak of terrible luck continues, spun out on lap 3 but managed to get it back around and followed a faster gt3 car back up through the field. got up to tenth and in the last lap over corrected going into T1 over the kerb and shot straight at the wall. One of these days ill get a decent finish from gt3, also looks like ive been promoted to Div.2 road.

Just to add on i think the Schubert and RLL liveries are going to be the Martini livery of the BMW, you see them everywhere.

Experienced ALL this in the last 24hrs...weird :nervous:

Gotta break this vicious cycle of being destroyed from behind by the non-qualifiers in the first race of the night and placing 5th in the next.

When you are in the lower splits which you are dont expect the greatest racing, i raced in the top split in the 2am race and while there was 1 or 2 wrecks everyone at the rear of the field waited behind and didnt ake any divebomb attempts. However some get way to impatient and decide that side by side going through the esses is a good idea and 2 seconds later he is swearing into the mic.

Yeah I gotta get out of the lower splits, but FAST!
Qualify in the top split and placed in the lower race split...oh well, I suppose my iRating from the other racers that use my car as a guard rail aint helping too much'''it is what it is...NO FAULT RACING.

I rev on the grid and weave to warm tyres :(

Stupid question: does your gas pedal go to 100%? Might have to look at telemetry to answer that.
Also, lower the rear DF from the wing (never tuned a RUF, is there a tunable deck lid spoiler too?, that one has the potential to lower drag at some sweet spot setting).
If you did all that I'd try reducing the tire scrub by not going for more than 1/2 clicks of toe-out. And also make sure you can put down power at the earliest, by tweaking shocks. Say, soften rear bump or stiffen front rebound.

I have already have taken all the wing I can remove.

I was running a lot of toe, that might be it.

I do it burn off excess fuel.

#excuses

That's precisely why I do it :)

Just has the worst race I've ever done where almost everything was my fault. Two spins, a few brushes with people that didn't slow either of is down and then a few off tracks.

Then as I'm trying to regain time people pass me on draft but then are really slow in corners. :( and when people pass they dive in front straight away and side swipe me.

What a nightmare, no more GT3 till the weekend I think, I'll do something more sedate like GTC.

I'm afraid GT3 will be trouble this whole season. Last seasons schedule had enough problematic tracks on it. But, this year, it's like they wanted the drama like we had near the end of last season. Big mess in the High SOF races with intentional crashing and Manufacturer wars. I mean seriously? Who in their right mind thought Glen Classic, Canadian Tire, Brands Indy (seriously?), and Okayama work?

Brands Indy? Really?

That isn't going to be hell, 30 cars on a 1:05-1:06 track is bad enough, we're going to be doing sub 50s on Brands and it's going to be carnage. Only saving grace is that the walls are a bit further away than at the Glen.

I know I'm somewhat new here, but couldn't they have minimized the service during the week 13 season break?! I added parts to my PC while waiting for the new build to be input. Now, this week, I don't get actual seat time til 10pm MST, and up late for qualify/race/TT in the wee hours of the morning because of the shutdowns, when there aint too many races to be had.
...come to think of it, I guess the service is "minimized" relative to the complete schedule of races. Taking wagers for the over/under on service interruption today?

I've had enough GT3 race madness for the week. TT GT3 and Mustang Challenge the rest of the week me thinks.

Yea im not a big fan of however came up with this seasons schedule, too many tracks that just dont fit in. I never liked Okayama, its just a bunch of 90 degree corners and hairpins.

I'm sure the Z4 is gonna be a little sturdier for wheel banging, leading to more Rufs/Macs retiring = happy paying customers ;)
