Jealous of you guys :) Just tried out the my first race in something besides the miata. Solstice (whatacar!) Inracing news race :D God I love this game

Woohoo! You really are killing now! I haven't find love for the Slstice at all, haven't tried out much though...
No worries Tat! I know it wasn't intentional! 4 cars just don't fit trough a corner, the spining white car really was the one who caused the situation bunching all the cars up...
Yeah I absolutely destroyed my SR in that Mustang race! So much that I even got stock in the gravel trap! Lol what a dummy! Had some good fun though! That practice at Indy on the DP was a blast!
I'll catch you tomorrow guys!
 
Yeah, that was not intentional, i jumped hard on the brakes but was too late lol.

btw guys, i want to introduce myself. I new in iracing, got the game since 1 week now, cause of Jav... he talked too much about it that i had to give it a try and I must say: wow wow wow, it's AWESOME!!!

Lord almighty, that BMW DP is gorgeous DO WANT. Okay, so I'm trying very hard not to spend any more money right now, what would you guys recommend?

I've gotta buy the skippy by all accounts and I'm thinkin either the DP or the Corvette on top of that...

But tracks....do the series typically stick to the tracks that come free or am I gonna have to buy the tracks to keep up with them?
 
I kinda of have a dumb question.

I've really been thinking about trying this and I'm planning on signing up this weekend, but I want to know if my laptop would be good for the game? I know it's a online SIM but does it requires a high end desktop ?

I have a 17 month old TOSHIBA laptop, it was a high end laptop new (got it for x-mas, for school).

so would the laptop work fine? I plan on plugging my G27 to the laptop and plugging the laptop to my 47" LCD tv and playing that way.

My desktop is really average and it runs it fine. I think the only thing you will need on a 1 and a half year old high end laptop is to make sure the graphics card is not integrated. That will be your biggest downfall if it is.

Ok, you can't race the DP till you get up to C license, The Vette you can't race till B. My advice is go with the Skippi and the Mustang(you'll need it to race in GrandAm anyways), go trough D license and then buy the DP.
As for the tracks what I do is I buy the track that my series will be running that week. I do the Mustang Cup and GrandAm, they pretty much use the same tracks so it works out great for me!

Man I'm just a bit pi__ed with that race, Khoury got into me on the start and then into someone else spun in front of me and took us off to the grass the when rejoining got into me again! Costed me .12SR within 2 corners!

I don't blame you, Khoury's been running that race all week and I don't think he's finished a single race without an incident :/ Just a heads up, in my opinion, the roadster is faster than the cup car here because you get to stay in 3rd for all of sector 1.

Hmm! Haven't really tried the roadster...
I really don't think he did it on pupouse, but he is just trying a bit too hard and getting himself in bad situations.

Besides being a bit more slidey and RHD it's exactly the same ;) I prefer it, but that's just me :p
He is a bit aggressive....in every way...I'd hate to be in the passenger seat of his car....you coming to the 3am race?

3rd for the first half of the track and 4th for the other half :p. I have picked this game up again, my rating has gone from 2.56 to 2.7_ in two races, having a good time :).

EDIT: Perhaps you guys are in my race?

Didn't get in your guys race which was expected :P. Mine sucked I got taken out by a guy coming back on track on the last corner right at the track out point. Then after I get out of the pits I go off in turn 1 check F3 box okay 15+ seconds enough buffer time.... Oh how wrong I was. Then the person who was behind me when I got hit was the one who hit me I guess he blinked I blinked IDK but he was raging hard made me laugh a little.

Other than that it was a good race, shame that guy was holding me up I could've taken the fight to you man, but at least had a clean race, some contact from him turning into me but nothing major, at least got .2 SR back!

Why couldnt I do this when I played the game a few weeks ago! Ill be so glad just to get out of Rookie >3.00 let alone Rookie altogether on the 27th if I dont hit 4.00 by then.

I just got another race with minimal incidents, this time it was 3 inc which boosted the SR by .16 bringing me up to 2.87! One more race and I can do some more :p.

Only problem is that if I get too far ahead of myself I wont be able to buy the stuff till next month. Long story cut short, I bought the 3 months for $12, my paypal has been suspended since then and I am waiting till I turn 16 next month to add a Debit Mastercard to my bank account. That will let me pay for stuff online, can't wait :lol:.

I over revved on a downshift going into one when the guy in front just jumped in the brakes too early and I messed up the downshift trying to avoid hitting him. Worst part is that my friend Tiago got a freebie!! Uggghhhh!!!!!
