To the guy who can't get his sim working. What browser are you running? Make sure you aren't running safari. And make sure your using an up to date version of Chrome (my fav), Firefox, or Internet Explorer (Garbo since it's made by Microsoft).

The pack racing on daytona is crazy fun! Trying to raise my SR high enough to fast track to C so I can buy minimal amount of shortie short tracks . I'd totally be down to run that I would probably be in the Corvette what track were you thinking of? Personally I'd like Watkins Glen or Silverstone since I have super limited experience of that track and I want to learn it!

I've been eyeing this over every now and then for the past year and am starting to think it might be the business, whats the FPS limit?
Are you able to reset/center a wheel and see an on-screen indication of this in the setup screen?
I have a wheel controller that should work well (after I install pressure triggers onto it) but the wheel has a bug when working on PC and it always wants to go left unless you can mess with it in setup.

You can adjust all of that and you have the indication you need!

The Ford GT-R will come out when iRacing 2.0 is released in August. Right now, its only available for pre-sale along with the Acura ARX-01C.

Thanks for the info, Corvette vs. Ford GT races should be interesting for a while, but I feel they should add new cars if they want to increase their users. Don't get me wrong, their quality is high but I think they are too speculative on car selection.

Do you mean like overall or in terms of what is in certain series? I think they are essentially only getting that one car from that one particular series or class so that the field is equal and no one has a advantage.

Thats just something you'll never be able to stop virtual or real. Someone has it figured out far better then the rest. What I mean by a big advantage though is someone being in a car thats far better then the other one in that respective category. What would be the point in racing for instance a HRT Cosworth when that Red Bull RB7 is the far better car in every way? What would be the point in driving the Ford F-Series in The truck Series when the Silverado and the Tundra are the class of the field? How great is your chances of winning when you race a Lola B07/10 against the ARX-01C?

I say if they have two cars of the same class. They should make it to where when you first enter the "season" you have to designate which car you want to race for the whole season. More often times than not, each car has its' disadvantages and advantages to other competing cars. So then that way things will be balanced out. And if you want to get really picky. Then you could just do what a GT series in Japan does. You finish in the top 5 one race. They add KG's to your car for the rest of the series. Makes it a little more interesting.

Exactly, this game need to grow adding more cars and classes not only from USA. I'm not sure about only 1 model for each class but would be a good strating point. Come on, how many Porsche cup we have in rFactor? Would be nice to have at least one in Iracing. What about a Lambo or a Maserati? ..Yes I know just ideas, but they have to expand their car list in some way. And the ballast rules of SuperGT championship, imho it fits perfectly in iracing.

Ohh man DTM would be so sweet! The SuperGT thing is quite understandable, but it would be nice to run those cars with an apropriate soundtrack and not the farting noises we get in GT5.

Yea that i understand but in real life you have different cars and a governing body that equalizes performance by either air restrictors or weight or some other things.
These things are way easier to do in a virtual world so that argument doesn´t really hold any water.
Take the ALMS GTPro class as an example, or WTCC, BTCC, STCC, GT500, GT300, DTM, etc etc etc.
It is fully possible to find out which is the quickest car and nerf it abit so they are all leveled out.

F1 is a whole ´nother ball game..

They definitely have the tools to level anything out so cars having an unfair advantage is no excuse.

Wow! You guys are still racing THAT close that far into the race. Im amazed. I was surprised you pulled through the first part of the crash, just plain unlucky you got hit by a re-entry . And at the pink car with tampax stickers on it!

I would genuinely love to race oval racing, I thoroughly enjoyed it on GT5 (when it stayed connected) but I simply cannot get my head around those darn motorbike powered things, the legends cars. And the tiny oval tracks, they SUCK.

Don't qualify for the Legends and just don't stay at pace until everyone else crashes.

What message do you get when you click on a rookie series race?

example: i click the Race tab (to the right of Test tab) from the dashboard and select an eligible race - have tried mx-5 and the Ford 34 hot rod. then i select any of the 4 little circles under Select A Session.
TT or Pract lists games in red that can be selected, at the moment Race and Qual is listing games in black and can't be selected.
I choose one of the 3 listed games in either TT or Pract. Staging session countdown appears.
I press the Join button once available. It changes to the 'Joined Session' page and the connecting progress bar is on screen.
Then the 'Could not connect to server' message appears

Can't see anything obvious that I'm doing wrong here. ideas?
