Well I've now done a little over an hour of testing. Mostly tried out Lime Rock. In the MX-5 Cup I've got my times down to 1.03.275. I know that isn't great but I haven't played even GT5 in a long time so I'm considering this a successful first night (especially with how it started...I couldn't stop spinning out).

Well done man! Keep on going at it and you'll keep getting better and better! In no time you'll be winning races!

Guys I'm putting a hosted session up tomorrow evening and would love to see you all there! Most probably it'll be a MX5/Mustang session, thinking of a 45 min race. Please let me know if you guys are interested!

Depends what time and track really.

I'd recommend you to use the Roadster, its gear ratio seems to work better at Lime Rock than the Cup.

I was thinking of Watkinsglenn, time would depend on what would better suit the group.
Maybe we can have this become a weekly thing, GTP race every Friday!

Sounds good, only reason I asked about track is I dont own them all but fortunatley I do have Watkins Glenn. In terms of time, can't speak for everyone else but I am free from 2.30pm GMT, which I beleive is 10.30am for you Jav? Any time after that up to about 9pm GMT, which is 4pm your time.

Also, just got my biggest SR gain ever in iRacing, Star Mazdas again finished 3rd and got +73 SR!

Really should have won the race though, such a low SoF.

Ok, so I reported the guy from the video I posted the other day and I got this response last night:

=====

Too bad I don't know what action they took.

He will tell you later. My bet is "Racing Incident".

I don't think I'll receive another email. I received an automatic one when I sent my protest and last night this one. According to it, there was an outcome already, but they only notify the member under protest about it.

I can tell you now, this is what you get if you ask what happened:

nim cross
The penalty in every case is personal between me and the defendant. There are two reasons for this. One, we do not want to humiliate anyone because of a mistake that can be learned from. Two, I do not want to argue with the protester in most cases where nothing less then a suspension or expulsion would be satisfactory to them.

But to be fair, the guy I complained about was very open and shut case, where he had deliberately taken me out in two seperate races. I didn't see him for two weeks (I presume a temporary suspension), and the next time I saw him, he was very well behaved.

There is nothing more unnerving then having a car up your trumpet for laps on end. Especially at Lime Rock and Okayama where you have several corners that require precise braking, that pressure can cause drivers to crack.

+99999999999999999999999999999999999999999 I'm always looking in the mirror and it seems the closer someone gets to my back bumper the more nervous I get. When I have people far behind me I have my best laps.

P.S. you guys are making some sick car skins/paint/ etc.

I just jumped on IRACING to see if there was a update and it says at the top "please read the important information about the new features for force feedback in 2.0"

but I don't see what he hell they are talking about, read what where??????????

Right hand side of member's site there is a patch notes thing I believe. Atleast last night there was.

Have they posted a photoshop file for the Acura and Ford yet? I haven't been on the member site or forums in a good month.

Yeah, and usually when there's a guy chasing you for two laps and it seems he's running much faster, as soon as he overtakes you you start going faster than him.

That's why I don't risk too much trying to overtake others. I keep trying to pressure the driver until he makes a mistake and I can make a safe pass.

I'll check, thank you

sorry for the back to back post:indiff:

I just ordered the Nixim Mod Version 2

First race was a disaster. Was smashed into the wall going up the hill at Lime Rock and then made a mistake in another corner causing me to be towed twice... Rating down to 2.40 yikes...

Much better second race. Finished 7th but I qualified 3rd and the guy in second wiped out right in front of me. I made it back to the pits in 9th and had a good clean race from the 2nd lap on. Good feeling to do that. Increased my safety rating too.

3rd edit:

Just finished third race. Now I'm hooked. Finished 5th and had an awesome battle with 6th place for more than 2 laps until I passed him. Didn't know a game could make you sweat like that. Not a single brush of contact between us either.

Practice times don't show up Sergio, just race times.
 I'm not Sergio, my name is Felipe.

And I don't think you understood my question. You can see in that link on my post that Sergio's fastest time is in red. I want to know why it's in red.

Holy hell there were a lot of incidents in there... even for a rookie race haha.

I thought the red time was for the fastest but obviously your time was better. Maybe since it was the fastest amongst rookie drivers and thats a rookie series?

livemusic
At the end of a session in the event result's page there's always a driver with a fastest lap in red. Is that the fastest clean lap? Because I could swear I did a clean 59'XXX in a practice before and the red time at the results was a 1:00.XXX from another driver.

Like this: http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/EventResult.do?&subsessionid=3894933&custid=48752

Is the red time their personnel best?

I'm hooked on this sim now. Actually managing clean races with the only incident I have are me going off track. Really, really fun. Can't wait until I move up from the rookie series!

The sim gets 1000 times better after the D license. People actually are respectful and know what they're doing.

I've had fairly clean races myself in the rookie class, started only last week or the week before, I found that as long as you qualify and get a fairly good time you avoid most the carnage in the races. I haven't had anyone dive bomb yet *touches wood* but once I can license up I guess I have something to compare it with.
