nope, what is the problem exactly? is there an issue with the range? you can use dxtweak2 to make sure the range of the pedals is okay.

I can get everything set up when I click "configure controls." When I try to adjust my "brake force curve factor" it accepts it but then it forgets the stuff before. It's really strange

the big one is just an adapter. you will connect the pedals directly with the PC, thats the point.
this way you have a higher input/signal. it works really great.

sorry, can´t explain better with my english, but i´m sure, google will help. ;)

ok I got it. thanks, it makes it plug direct into the PC so it doesn't go through the wheel. I may have to get this

Pre-ordered! Can't wait for the Acura and the Ford GT! Plus Suzuka will be fantastic laser scanned. Iowa... just bought it to get my 25% off.

August can't come fast enough!

Acura??????? what acura is coming to IRACING (NSX race car?)

I would be soooo happy if there was a NSX in this game

Acura ARX/01B so the LMP2 car from either 09 or 10.

I have had iRacing for almost a week now. My career started off well, all things considered. My first four races consisted of a 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and a 1st. My safety rating made it to 4.42, which advanced me to class D 3.42.

But the last few days, I cannot seem to finish a race. The upper right corner of the display where it shows your FPS, also shows something called S. The last three races, during the race, my S (skew?) has gone completely red and my FPS (frames per second) has dropped to 8-12. Totally undriveable and decided to get towed to the pits. This has occurred when I was in 3rd, 2nd, and 1st.

After about a minute or two the S drops back to normal and I am able to resume the race... In last place now of course. I have already posted this in the iRacing forums as it seems others are having the same problems. I am running the software on a laptop hooked up to my television. I have a very solid internet connection, and nothing else is running on the network or the computer. Only google chrome to run iRacing.

The laptop also has a laptop cooler under it, and another fan as well. It is staying quite cool. Kind of bummed that everything started out so well, and now I'm having these issues. I can run every other part of iRacing fine. Never have a problem in crowded practice rooms. Qualifying and TT seem to work fine too.

Obviously my iRating is s**t as the last three races are all last place finishes.

Hey everyone. The Flyin' Miata Super Cup,
Here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=191385
and here:
http://fmsc.webs.com/apps/forums/topics/show/5086200-expansion-to-other-sims-are-we-game-?page=last

The mega-popular Spec Miata GT5 racing league officially sponsored by Flyin' Miata MX-5 tuning specialist, here: http://www.flyinmiata.com/, is expanding into iRacing and we need all of the iRacers in GTP to help us build it up best!

So if you would like to show interest, support, suggest, or help lead the effort than you're more than welcome to sign up on the FMSC site and chime in on the "expansion" thread on the site forums here: http://fmsc.webs.com/apps/forums/topics/show/5086200-expansion-to-other-sims-are-we-game-?page=last.

We're still going to be going strong in GT5 with a third season of FMSC starting soon, feel free to join that if you're keen as well.

So get to it! This is still in the very early stages so we don't have a race structure, racing times or anything else quite lined up yet so if you wanna see something or think anything's wrong then say the word and we'll all work together to make it great.
We're hoping to get listed on iRacing's league micro-site very soon as well as post up an invite on the iRacing forums once we get it closer to the start too.

Feel free to PM me if you need to as well.
Thanks

If I can figure out the iRacing issues, I am totally down.

Also.. on a totally seperate deal. Now that I am class D, am I supposed to tune my cars? I just have the base iRacing package. Currently running the Miata roadster at Lime Rock.

It just depends on wich car/series you are running. The MX5 is a fixed setup on the Nvidia Cup, but in the GTC it is an open setup car.
Some cars can benefit from tunning while on others you won't see the difference. I suggest you buy the Mustang since you already own the track they are running this week.

I was wondering the same thing.

what are those things in the top right corner mean? I know what FPS means but the other 3 letters below that.

ok, still cool.

Do they have any plans in the future to bring more cars into the game? no big deal for me if they don't but it would be cool to have some more.

They haven't really been working on many cars or tracks. They're more busy with the new tire model at the moment.

Thanks for the explanation Jav. I will have to start looking for tunes, when I start driving some of the other series. I noticed the spec ford and solstice also have series I can enter this week.

I am not sure I am going to buy content just yet. I am trying to get everything running properly before I give them more money. So, I am going to hold off on buying the mustang for now.

Yeah.. I am not sure what all three mean. From what I understand the S (skew?) is a relation of the timing between the service and your computer. So when the S gets red the "sync" between the service and the computer is not correct.

Its actually the ARX-01C, the 2010 Le Mans version.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure if it was the B or C. I just assumed that maybe it was the B since they would be able to get hold of some to do some testing fairly easy.

Easiest way to remember is The Le Mans 24 Hour race. 2010 was the first time the Acuras raced at Le Mans whereas they didn't in 2009. Hope that helps :)

Dumb questions of the night:
How do I upload replays to Youtube?
And how do I take pictures on the replays?

Pictures is pretty easy. just print screen for windows or command+shift+3 i believe for mac.

video on the other hand is much more difficult. you are going to need some sort of screen capture device. I've used fraps in the past, it works pretty well.

Dude I don't even know how to do the print screen thing!

 oh Jav !!!

Dont know how to upload video though... :ouch:

EDIT: Owens do it with closed eyes though

In order to record replays and upload them to Youtube you'll need to get yourself FRAPS. It's pretty much a simple capture program that's optimized to capture PC games. Look it up on Google for detailed instructions on how to use it. The .avi file that it outputs can be really big so I'd recommend not capturing in HD. Try recording in a window or just lower iRacing's resolution to something more manageable.

FRAPS isn't free but you can download the trial which only adds a "www.fraps.com" watermark to any video.

Ohh!! thats the first time I've seen that button in my life!!!

Those mustang drivers are loonies, far worse than any drivers I have seen in Rookie .

Monday Night V8 Supercar Online Series Highlights. Shows a lot of carnage on lap 1. Someone tried a huge divebomb into turn 1 and caused huge carnage and someone else missed their braking point down into turn 3. Apart from that the racing was quite clean.

I was wondering the same thing.

what are those things in the top right corner mean? I know what FPS means but the other 3 letters below that.

Here is a better explanation:*(from iRacing FAQ)
The FPS/Network Display box shows you three values:

FPS (graphical frame rate in Frames Per Second, or FPS)
L*(Latency, or data transmission delay between your system and the iRacing server)
Q (Quality of the connection to the iRacing server)
S (Sevice, shownig the state of Synchronization between your computer and iRacing)

The "FPS" indication at the top of the display is a numerical value that represents your frame rate in Frames Per Second (FPS), which is a reflection of your graphical performance.

The "L" portion is a bargraph that represents your latency*of your connection, or the time delay for data transmitted between your PC and the iRacing servers.* This bar can vary in length and in color -- a shorter bar length or a green bar indicates a low latency or delay, and if this bar turns red that indicates that your latency is reaching an unacceptable acceptable level.* When you see a red bar here, this is an indication that the latency has dropped to an acceptable level, which may result in a disconnection from the iRacing server.

The "Q" portion is a bargraph that represents your connection quality, and this bar can display varying colors -- a green bar is good, yellow or orange means less than ideal connection quality, and it will turn red if your quality is dropping below an acceptable level.* When you see a red bar here, this is an indication that your connection may drop and you may be disconnected from the iRacing server.

The "S" portion shows the service/sychronization state, or the "skew" of your connection to the iRacing servers.* As with the "Q" bar, a green bar is good, yellow or orange means less than ideal synchronization with the iRacing service, and it will turn red if your synchronization is dropping below an acceptable level.* When you see a red bar here, this is an indication that your connection may drop and you may be disconnected from the iRacing server.

Unfortunately, I cannot find a solution to the problem. I did a ping test to different servers and I am getting good results with minimal jitter and no packet loss.(used pingtest.net) Maybe the problem lies in the fact that the two servers my iRacing software finds is the one in MA and the one in Australia?

Please, NEVER put music in an iRacing video again :p. That was torment!

WHAT!? Not a fan of Metallica!?

To me an iracing video without music is stupid especially highlights. But that may change if I get overlays. Talking to someone about possibly doing overlays and therefore I may leave music out.

Hey Red if you're on send me a shout! I wanna test something in a hosted session. If anyone else here can take a bit of time to help us test something out, please feel free to say so in the thread 👍
