My accounts runs out in just over a week, so I'm thinking I should get at least one race in today, I've only did a few practice sessions so far so do you think I'd be in over my head doing a 20 lapper on Lime Rock in the MX-5? (Rookie)
left888No they can not see you. It's a great way to get your feet wet in racing. They can go through you and vice versa.
As far as the memory sliders you should pretty much leave them where they were. You can start by configuring your hardware here. http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/instruction/qs_07.jsp
swiftwillyMaybe we should open a new thread purely on Q&A with the first post with a list faqs and guides thats already made?
For any of you thinking about making a big purchase, I'd suggest taking advantage of the bonus credits deal right now. You buy $75 in credits but get $100. Then you use those credits to buy 6 or more content items and you get 20% off, or buy it all and get 25% off, good deals can be had right now.![]()
JavRoll call for tomorrow's Sebring 120! Who's gonna be driving what??

Day race:tup:
South Boston sucks for clean racing. Rejoining from the pits is terrible. With a single monitor you're pretty blind to anyone coming back on the track and as the person joining, there's not much room...At Lanier you can use the whole back straight to merge smoothly.
Yeah, that's true, the free credit offers come around quite often and the reduced membership fees come along about twice a year. So if you do it right, and get the $25 in free credits by purchasing $75 worth, and then wait until the Black Friday $49 annual membership deal, you can get away with paying $24 for the annual membership.
iRacing is more expensive than regular games, however with all the deals they have (free credits for racing, deals like this, etc) it doesn't end up being as expensive as people first think.
1 year basic membership with the NASCAR Cup Car, Daytona and Talladega for $75 : PR-CarbCup12
Regular retail price: $140.85
Discount: $65.85 (45 %)
or
One year basic membership with the Williams FW31, Silverstone, and Zandvoort. - $75: PR-GP
Regular retail price: $140.85
Discount: $65.85 (45 %)
I would like Silverstone and Zandvoort but I'm not sure about the Williams Toyota (just don't know), but I also would like to try tandem drafting which sounds awesome too.
any opinions are welcome.
Also when I do make an account I need to make a new email and add a 2 after my name correct? or is there something else?
one more question: C6-R or Ford GT, which do you feel is used by more people and is more fun to drive?
Got my A License now I can "live a little"![]()
It's quali, just let them go. Gap yourself from them and go at it again!I'm about to embark on my first race, wish me luck, qualified 8th. I hate when people block you on a qualifying lap, I attempt to pass them and they block me, even on the straight.
I sucked big time! specially after leading the race for a few laps and knowing I had the pace to be there at the end... What's even worse is that none of the guys who hit me was fighting me for possition. On this seres you really need a lot of seat time to truly master and be truely competitive on the cars. Patience really matters, specially on a 2hr race and sharing the track with 2 other classes, you really need to drive the other cars and understand where they brake, where are they loading their suspension. where are their limits and where are their limits in relation to yours plus yours in relation with theirs. That must suck jav. That's the reason why I get a bit iffy when there is 2 cars right behind me and they are focusing on trying to overtake me, instead of focusing on the next braking point.
Qualified 8th, finished 7th, I don't think that's to bad for my first try. Oh MX-5s at Lime Rock.
