Lol! What happened?
Twice now I've been caught up in someone else's first turn, first lap wreck.
Lol! What happened?
MrMelancholy15Sounds like Grosjean happened. May or may not involve the first corner.
I just did, testing soon. Scared to race, until I can trust my wheel again.
I officially dislike Iracing's championship points system.. Prior to doing one race tonight I was 526 total points, I came 2nd in that race with a 1814 SOF, I'm now down to 480 total points. I understand drop weeks and all that, but I don't agree with it at all.. Its ridiculous to be honest.
Where in the world do you find a profiler for DFGT wheel? I have the one you can download that shows button maps but that's it, nothing to deal with settings at all.
MrMelancholy15That's the one I have, too.
Also, polarbear345, congrats on your win, but, why did you give me a drive-through penalty, to get there?![]()
I mean, blame the guy who passed the rookie in the pits, causing me to be scared...
That doesn't seem right... Check again later, a 46 point drop isn't normal at all! Either the 526 score was from counting 9 weeks or the system is waiting to reset.
MrMelancholy15That's the one I have, too.![]()
Everyone seems to talk about one but I'm guessing it's for G25/27 wheels.
Did I give you a penalty??
The guy wasn't moving.... And I went ASAP! I wanted to get out of there, that guy had wrecked, and said it was his first race.... NOT who I wanted to be near! So I kinda...sorta... Forced the issue and passed him in the pits xD
Now I'm back up at 562, so I guess I can't complain about that![]()
(is it hard?)
MrMelancholy15Shouldn't be. I haven't tried it, too much, in iRacing, but, I've done it in real life, and it's not that bad.
How many races have you done this week and what's the gap to 2nd place?
Being still quite new to this, having done 6 races now (3 won), I'm looking forward to class D. What have you guys done at this point and how do you look back at this?
The reason I ask, I have no idea what my next class is going to be. I'm thinking of the Mustang Cup, which shares quite a few circuits with the Prototype & GT Challenge, where I want to drive later on my career. But is experience in the Mustang Cup going to help me in the Proto> Challenge, or should I do something else? In my eyes the Mustang Cup is a perfect learner but ofcourse I don't have so much experience in iRacing. Don't forget I also have to learn tuning the car (is it hard?)
Just one, leading the championship now. 2nd place is 33 points back.
Not a huge margin, but enough to breathe. Don't do more than 2 races total this week, when you're about to join look at your dashboard first and decide if it's a good idea to join depending on how many cars are signed up in your class.

Are you using this one?

The Global settings are the only ones I use, then everything else is setup in iRacing.
edit: these are the recommended settings from the Logitech website (the above pic was a random google find - I have no idea what it is setup for):

I'm pretty sure I added some damper and and spring effect strength but not much.

I never knew that, I always thought it had something to do with the fact that I can't create an iracing profile in the profiler, thanks
Computer question: My laptop only has 2 USB ports filled with a DFGT and CSP's, let's say I want a shifter and I plug in one of those USB extension adapters, so I now have 5 USB ports, will my wheel and pedals have more of a delay because of the adapter when I start plugging more items in? what are my options?
Yea I just didn't know where to go to setup. Thanks for the info, it might make a difference who knows. I do know I don't ever have 900 degrees on rotation, so that will be worth a try.
No problem 👍 the 900° rotation is what makes the difference for me. It made control much better and the wheel matches the in-game graphics. I have had instances where the wheel is just ... 'off' in it's calibration while driving and the options screen in iracing just won't solve the problem. When / if that happens, just close and re-start the logitech profiler and it will all work again 👍
Bare with me on all this because even though I have been on Iracing since like Feb or March I have yet to play with more than ingame settings. I set up the profiler as you have your said, then in game I redid everything. Here is where my question comes in on the steering when it ask you to turn fully one way then the other and return to center. How far do you really turn? I used only go about 90 degrees left or right from center, now I went all the way 180 but anything close to 360 and it doesn't accept it.
Also I went and tested a little at michigan since that's where B class is this week but the steering feels super light compared to the way I used to have it (it was 200 degrees of rotation with everything 100 in the profiler) but I prefer the heavier steering than the floating it feels now.
