Eric.That is the point..
@team will have priority over @drivers
If you don't want to hear communications from other drivers (which I think is a bad decision), you can unscan @drivers by typing @scan drivers
Jumped into a practice session for the Grand Am series just now, i was the only Mustang though. Needless to say i felt a little outnumbered lol, constantly zoom, zoom, zoom past me. But one guy, and i dont know if anyone knows him, james cather. He just slams into the back of me on purpose and tells me to go find another room that isnt full of DP's. Other DP drivers were telling him to shut up, but he was really being a jerk about it. Anyway it was fun and such a nice break from doing redundant Mazda races over and over again. Ive got some things to learn about sharing the track with those DP's, i never can tell what line they will run. I tried to just stick to my line, but even a pro driver ran through me coming out of a turn.
I pick and choose Caddy races , I only do them for fun and only if its at a track that I feel safe and consistent on. In your position , I'd either practice until I felt that doing a race was going to be safe and enjoyable for myself and those around me ..... or forget it. Being open to rookie and upwards , you tend to get all skill levels in one race. Some guys have got it sorted while others struggle and it can inevitably get a bit messy in the first few laps.
Having said that , Mosport and the Caddy is a match made in heaven. Don't miss that week ! 👍
Thanks, I like to have silence during a race with the exception of my spotter, and at the moment I don't have a mic myself. People are usually quite during the race, but then all of a sudden they have to yell something out and its pretty distracting.. To each their own I guess. I like the new spotter feature, adds a whole new element of realism, even if it's only slightly.
I am a newbie to Grand Am Really, but I have done multiclass racing in other games/ simulators so all I can really say as a DP driver is for you to hold your line and the DP driver will find a way past.
JavThat guy is just stupid and has no business competing in multiclass racing, Kevin you really should've saved the replay and taken a screenshot if he used the text chat. He just doesn't get it, another moron trying to win the practice session instead of learning to deal with traffic in the practice session.
I usually don't protest, but that I would.
I'm the same, in fact I haven't protested anything yet even though some races have been downright silly as contact / blue flags, etc. goes.
In this case it's really the drivers conduct and attitude that needs addressing as he's basically said to you that he essentially owns the road - in practice no less 👎
On a side note, I found a check box that automatically prompts me to save the replay as I exit any session. Quite useful, as I sometimes forget - and it was usually the replay's I need / want to save that were missed in the past![]()
Anyone else running Grand-Am this week at the Glen? My best time is 1:24.0xx so far with room for improvement.. I saw Kevin hitting 1:23.5xx in practice. I can do low 1:24s as a good race pace I think.
Thanks, I've just been using a baseline setup with just a tweaked front brake bias![]()
Im still playing around with the settings, as im still not sure what some of them do. The biggest difference was made when i put the soft sway bar on the rear instead of leaving it off. I also found that moving the caster forward a few degrees (7.5) gives me the best feel for turn in. Theres so much tuning i want to do, but dont have time for
I just ran my first race though and there were only 2 mustangs lol. About half way through the other mustang was 20 seconds ahead of me and it appeared he got into it with a DP and retired. I had no incidents with the DP guys and only 6 off track penalties, never a spin. It was fun, but lonely because i was out there by myself with no one to race. A win is a win though lol
As Eric mentioned, It's here in the options screen once you have entered a track:
![]()
It offers to save everything you are running in too - practice/ TT / quali, etc. A nice option if you have someone in the room that is considerably faster than you and you want to watch the lines that driver ran.
After you select 'Quit' and then confirm that selection the replay pop-up will.... pop-up![]()
I jumped in and watch the start, I even drove a lap as a ghost behind you! We have very similar driving I was inside your car a few times, now that guy you raced is stinking fast he steped in a practice session I was on earlier did a few laps and instantly did a low 22!
This is a question to all the DP drivers...
Okay so I just joined a race, put my race setup on that I have been testing in practice, started the race found I had really REALLY bad snap oversteer going into the esses, bus stop chicane, and the final 2 corners at WG Cup. The snap oversteer was so bad that by the third lap I was about 15 seconds behind the leader. The setup worked fine in practice and felt nice and smooth.
Has anybody else come across this problem?
Any ideas?
What's your rear toe, I'd look there first, then rear ARB, tire preassures, Rear spring rate compared to front and rear wing setting. I use this setups, best I've found so far! Pretty fast, stable, predictable and easy to drive:

Oh cool i didnt know you were there. Yeah he was quick and consistent, i was dropping a few tenths a lap at the start but when the traffic came i just faded. 22's seems within reach if i get more practice and the right settings. This looks like a fun series, but i hope i see more mustangs.
