the fast mclaren guys are running in the 45s, the fast gt guys are in the 44s from what I've seen

I run 90 degrees FOV on a 55" that's about 3-4' in front of me, I can focus on my real FOV and turn my eyes to catch the mirrors, that's what works for me

I saw a guy with a 1.44.6xx in a practise session in a McLaren. I'm struggling to run low 1.47s myself, but I suspect in race that could be fairly acceptable.

Here's a few great road tracks, if you like road racing then sooner or later these should all be in your arsenal.

I'll put 3 tracks that will most likely be in the McLaren MP4 series if there is to be one next season. I haven't heard yet whether or not it will stay in the GT Challenge yet. I'd imagine it would get it's own series. Or they will remove the Ford GT from the GT Challenge. What they should do, is move the mustang out of the Grand Am series and put the McLaren in for it. I think that the McLaren most reflects a real life Grand Am GT car.

World record for the Ford GT at Daytona is in the 41s, McLaren's world record is on the mid 43s.

So I'm already within the 1.5 second bracket that I usually am to WR. Guess this car will be like the HPD where I am within the 1 second mark. Still have a lot to learn with this car as well.

Okayama is a free track I believe. So he should already have it.
 
Bought the McLaren yesterday, didn't have a chance to try it yet. Will probably have some fun with it in Daytona this afternoon. Does anyone have a setup to share?

I was just in a Ausie session. 2 1:43.8's were put down. I dearly hope that they aren't on race fuel loads. I'm running quali loads and can only manage my 45.5's.

Strangely, I tried raising the spring perch offset on this car and got slower. Must be the first car in the game like this lol.

The 1:43.8's were with draft. Although myself and Dylan Sharman have both done low 44's without. I've done a 1:44.220 and he's done a little quicker than that I believe. But the car does have a 43 in it without draft, just gotta put the lap together.

Those laps are clearly done on low fuel too by the way.

Makes me feel a heck of a lot better lol. I always hate going into Ausie servers. Everyone drives like aliens! I was 10th fastest in that server. A few hours ago I was in a full US server and was fastest with a 45.5 lol!

Low 46's are what I'm at consistently with race fuel onboard.
 
Haha, I know "to each his own" and "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and all that jazz, but anyone who thinks the Corvette looks better than the McLaren has got to be drunk and wearing some crazy beer goggles.
 
Damn Iracing!!! The release of the MP4 has cost me $209. Why did McLaren have to use a formula style rim for this car? A simple GT style rim just wasnt good enough for them. :banghead:

Yeah thats pretty much what I figured. So I said what the hell. Just hoping it shows up before the New Year. Im gonna put the MP4 back in the garage till it arrives. Need to finish the season in the vette anyway.
 
Has anyone tried the Skip at Oran Park? WOW, what a combo. That track is nutty and it fits the Skip perfectly.

I cannot see how the V8 Supercar drivers piloted those heavy beasts around that circuit. Mad respect. It's really a shame the track is gone...it would have been a really tough track to extract 100% out of in real life.

I was supposed to race there this week but I'm not too sure if I'll be able to.

I bought the McLaren, so I want to try that first, and then I have to race the Lotus 79 at Silverstone. If I skip one more week of its series I won't be able to get the bonus credits at the end of the season, but I can still skip a few Skip weeks (no pun intended).

Edit: Also, we might see a S1 release of Interlagos. :D

Working on my personal paint job for this car. It's coming along nicely. Going to add a few more sponsor logos and do some touching up to some edges. Here's what it looks like so far though.

I'm also excited to see they are working on their first street circuit that is Long Beach. Love this track and hope they will make a good job of it.
Also it will be interesting to see how fast people are there due to the risk of scraping the wall ever so slightly and wrecking their car. (No second chances cutting the grass.)
Should be fun in open wheelers like IndyCar.

Also just a side thought, would anybody like to see more realistic gravel physics, for example you will get stuck if you wheelspin to much etc etc etc?
 
A street course would be awesome i love it.

and a soon release for interlagos would be awesome, i could buy it together whit the mclaren.

You guys and your road racing! Who wants to then right? JK that car looks amazing and seems to be worth buying.

Superspeedways and I have love hate relationship! I love how tense it is but hate boneheads who don't understand how the draft or being patient works.
