I swear some people donÂ’t know what brakes are. I was rear ended by a b-class driver 3-4 times and the put into the wall by a c-class driver, even rookie Mazda MX-5Â’s are cleaner :( anyway to avoid these idiots?

Caddy's @ Laguna?

D-Class Grand Touring Cup MC. Jetta MX-5 and Pontiac

Well that's the problem. Rookie's will go from the Nvidia Cup to that as they don't have to purchase any new cars, just some tracks. It's the same with the Spec Racer Ford, on the tracks that you get standard all the Class D's and Rookie's suddenly appear and ruin everyone's day.

Remember Class D is only the next level up from Rookie so people are still learning there ways, once you get to C Series' and higher it improves as people have matured from the lower levels of racing.

Damn, that's my next race I plan on doing.

I don't understand why people have to ruin things for everyone else, especially when you have to pay to play and people just drive like idiots.

I'm thinking of getting the Star Mazda, Lotus 79 and Williams FW31 + whatever tracks I need for the schedules. Should I? Is it worth it?

With whatever money I have left over I'll get some oval stuff I think. Maybe a few well used tracks for the truck as I think that's a C class series.

Anyone ever have a problem with iRacing credits not showing up in your account?
I did every race in a skip barber season last year and received no credits. I pre-ordered the Lotus 49 and the refunded credits for that haven't shown up ether. I contacted customer support just now.

Are you really going to drive a full season of all three cars at the same time? Except for aliens, I can't imagine having time to practice three tracks a week - unless you know them all very well already and you're pretty much ready to to race immediately. There isn't any extra savings for buying more than 6 pieces of content at once, so why not start with the slowest car and its tracks and move up from there?

Can someone explain the logic in a lapped car trying to unlap itself by dive bombing into people?! Thankfully I made had nothing else wrong in that race so only lost a little SR.

Because 🤬 logic?

Just newbies not knowing racing etiquette I guess.

It happens, we've all been there. Hell, I still experience it, although no where near as bad as it was. Once you pass D, the racing is 95% clean, you still get that occasional goof ball.

I got to admit, I did something similar in a recent oval race. I got smashed by another car. He hit the wall then came down hard onto me. I needed to be towed to the pits which wasted a ton of time. Then I sped in the pits which pissed me off even more. Then I didn't reset my pit strategy which lost me a ton of time and pissed me off even more. By the time I got out I was way behind and really pissed off. I went on a tear and passed several cars but all cleanly. I'm sure I pissed people off though. I did let the leader through but no one else came close to passing me. I didn't get a single incident for the rest of the race.

Yeh it's very annoying, did have some great in track battles which were great though so it all makes up for the odd idiot. Can't wait to get into license C, good battles and less idiots I guess!

I'm sure we all have done things like that and some people don't like it. It all depends on if I'm a lap down or no chance of getting back on the lead lap on how I race people to a degree.

My last race had some boneheads in it doing some dumb crap. I laughed at the guy telling me I need to learn to drive better when his irating was 698 while I was at 1500 something pre race and he wouldn't hold his line at all. I will pass you clean or even be slower til I get a good chance but weaving back and forth while being slower makes it hard as heck to pass you cleanly. We had about 4 guys have issues with him doing dumb crap but he had the issue with us being crybabies.

I have a question about the Grand-am 2.4 hour race, is it normally same weekend or before?

 I just lost 0.49 SR for two crashes that weren't my fault. Protest will follow.

1st incident: 2nd place jump-starts (black flag not served?)
2nd incident: 1st place and 2nd place (both) spin in separate incidents, in the last corner at Watkins Glen.
(I'm not involved)
3rd incident: 2nd place moves across track after spinning, hitting me, and flipping an MX-5 over my roof.
4th incident: Some idiot goes full throttle through the bus-stop chicane, clips a Solstice (the only Solstice in the race, mind) and the Solstice rolls across the track. I'm in behind an uninvolved MX-5, unable to see crash, uninvolved MX-5 slams on brake. I don't have time to react/slow-down, and bump him, and he hits me back, and into the idiot MX-5.
5th-8th incidents: dropped a tire (or four) in Off-Track incidents (my own fault)

So, I should have gained a lot of SR, if it weren't these idiots on the track.

Edit: How do you use the cut thing in the replay? I'm using the in-game replay thing, but I can't cut my replay down to a smaller size. It's 335,000 KB. So, obviously, mediafire AND hotmail refuse to send it. :(

Click the scissors or cut where you want to start the cut of the replay, then click save when you want to end it.

Thanks Mac K and Kevin01SH.

:)

That's more like it!

This Division 6 Jetta championship's going my way, I'm getting the podium. :)

Also, lastly, is there an easy way to finish a clean race? Like, less than 2 incidents? I'll run the Grand-Am, since I don't care about that championship, at all, for example, very slowly.

The worst race weekend in history for me.

I practiced all week for the GTChallenge in my new beloved McLaren and I actually started to get it fast around Zandvoort and I just couldn't wait to race it.
As we know it's raced on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. Friday came and I woke up, had my normal morning coffee and then it happened. My neck and shoulders froze on me and I couldn't even turn my head.

It happened out of nowhere and came really fast so I was hoping it went away in the same matter, but no. I still having problems turning my head. I tried to turn some laps in because I really wanted to race, but after 10 laps I had problems moving my arms so I could get out of the sim (moving my hand down to the mouse and click exit) So I will miss this track witch I never raced before and I really enjoyed it.

So my worst race weekend didn't even result in a crash, it resulted in a endlessly long weekend laying flat and move carefully around.

I hate getting older.. LOL

I'm going to throw this out there (Jav has tried and I applaud him for it).

We should have a mx5 forum season, mx5 being perfect for everyone (beginners and veterans)

With Jetta optional; MrM car only. I really don't drive MX-5 anymore. Never, except at Okayama Short.

That would be a blast! Everyone can have fun in that car (except Mel...)

I'm game!

+1 for more GTP events, especially one car make races

edit: 1000 posts FTW

 👍 Therefore, I'll pay for it, and just sneak in a Jetta class for those who don't like excessive oversteer.

It's really easy to drive! I'm not sure where you get the oversteer that you can't control from... I hardy spin unless I do something to warrant it (hit a curb too hard, downshift to early etc...)

Give it a go!

The gtp events have always been fun!

I won't be able to race two of the series anyway since I'm still a C class driver. I used to run Mustang, Nvidia Cup, Skip Barber, Street Stock and Legends in the same week before so yeah.. It takes me 20 or so minutes to learn the track once I have a decent understanding of the car. With a few exceptions, like Mid-Ohio for example. It will be cheaper then buying in 6's due to surplus. Should cost me about $160/€120 and as a teenager (16) I don't often run into money.

So all options considered I can afford it, do the series etc. Just wondering if any of the cars have bad traits that would make me want to avoid them, bugs, bad modeling, etc.

Also, this wasn't a dig or anything like "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING BUT..." just my point of view on it.
