Congrats on doing so well! My last year race ended about half way through after trying to avoid a big wreck. I practiced this morning and decided to skip this event because I didn't like the set at all even after 20 laps or so it still was way too free.

People complain way too much about someone racing hard regardless. I got caught passing under yellow at Charlotte/Trucks (still not sure how when it told me to be behind the car I was behind and not let anyone pass) but I served the black flag and leader caught me going into 4. I tried to keep infront (didn't block) on the high side and he got by. 2nd place was telling to move like I had anywhere to go or can't race hard even though I just became a lap down, even though all of those guys got by me 2-6 I think out of turn 2 because I slowed a little. I ran them down within half a lap and could have passed but he still was saying that was a dumb move, which I don't get. It's called racing not pull over everytime someone is behind you. It's not like I was beating him, blocking or anything close. It just really rubs me wrong and then he can't answer a simple what was I supposed to do? If I just slow up then it will cause alot more issues for people trying to avoid me other than just falling in and passing.

Anyway the guy in 7th could see us and he had no clue who was really the lap car because I wasn't damage or slower.
 
Definitely not my week in the Mustang. Been running up front all 3 races but haven't finished anywhere near the top. First 2 races I put it in the wall. Race I just did I got disconnected while running third. Got back on the track just to finish the race and some guy who can barely even keep it on the track took me out. He pulled over to the right like he was going to let me pass, then he sorta lost control and stopped right in front of me. Had nowhere to go
 
Finally a little luck is on my side, guy in race before last was one complaining and pushing 3 wide on back stretch. I actually came from 5th to win in 10 laps while leader was already a second or so ahead with 5 to go. The next race went green the whole 35 laps and I started 11th and passed the leader on lap 23, which I ended up winning by 1.5 seconds.

People over drive Charlotte way too much and burn the right front off the car so it won't turn well. I am one left off the gas and coast it into the corner then slowly get back into it while making a pass coming out of the corner but my lap times fall off from 30.4ish to 30.1 by end of 35 laps which I think is pretty good. I know I'm not the fastest and have run alot faster but I'm much better on longer runs.
 
Bought the Riley today, man that car is fun to drive. Seems to suit my style I think, as I had decent pace straight up. Bites hard if you get sideways or drop a wheel off the track though, but it was awesome around Watkins Glen boot
 
Can't wait to get B Class road. I really like the Lotus 79, especially at Mosport. I hit a 1:09.7 PB. fastest people can hit high 1:07s I believe. I'm only one clean Grand Am race from it as well.
 
I was a little over racing for awhile lately just from bad races till tonight. It's awesome how a string of races will change everything and yes I have no life either.

I think I have raced 8 truck races tonight and finished 2nd, 3rd and wrecked but the rest I won. The funny thing is I haven't started in the top 10 in any of them and mainly around 15th.
 
I did about 6 the other day.. 7th, 10th and the rest were wrecks caused by cars ahead of me that I couldn't avoid.

Fantastic car isn't it. Thursday night 9.45 Aussie race is broadcast and has been getting good attendance. Get into it mate :)

Yeah I'll try! Don't want to sound like a sook but that really is too late for me! Haha, I'll see what happens anyway. Don't know how they used to race with the Mustang, that would be a huge closing speed.
This might be my new No. 1 car, I think I'm giving up on the V8. I've tried so hard at it, but it's just not enjoyable for me, I'm no good with it
 
Thanks guys. I forgot to post this but the guy who won the race was using his second account. On his primary he has a 5100+ iRating and A Class 4.99 License. He was fast all race but at the end I could run the same lap times as him. If I had a chance I probably could have raced him for the lead.

Yeah I did a race with him a couple of weeks ago. I just jumped in a random carb race session and saw his name, but I thought it was just some stupid joker messing around.

He got taken out of the race by some other guys crashing on every lap, I just run clean and finished 1st a lap ahead of 2nd.

Yeah same here , I get up for work before 5am so that session is a no go for me too. Check the session before that one , sometimes there's a lot of guys doing it too.
The McLarens are a good partner for the Riley , at Brands Hatch you had only a few passing opportunities on straights , around corners there wasn't a lot of difference between the two cars.
Yeah the V8 can get very frustrating ! I suck at it too.

Yeah thanks, I'll be checking that out for sure. Are setups a big thing with the DP? I don't really like fiddling with setups too much, I just modify the baseline slightly and use the same for all tracks
 
Yeah , I think you'll be fine doing that. I found the baseline has some traits that don't suit me , I acquired a set from a practice session of the Daytona 2.4 and have been using it with minor tweaks since then. That's me though , others seem to change the car specifically for each circuit.
The V8 on the other hand , I was spending a lot of time with setup each week so I think that says something about the Riley.
I love how it gets faster as the fuel runs off , not unusual to do your best lap late in the race on worn tyres :)

You guys see the front page story on iracing about the Ford Gen 6 car was enhanced bhp wise by the vechicle dynamics engineer? He has now been relieved of his duties. This can't be an April fools joke can it :lol:

I think I showed you guys a preview, before I painted the room. But as the black part of the room is because of the rig itself I figured I re-post a few pictures. If it's consider spam the post can just be removed by moderators. I see it everyday so no need for me to have it at a forum :)

After a lengthy and exhaustive investigation by iRacing, we regret to announce that we discovered a widespread cheating scandal within iRacing. The cheating is specific to drivers of the new Ford Fusion Gen6 NASCAR Sprint Cup cars. After numerous reports of suspected cheating, it was discovered that iRacing engineer Eric Hudec – a longtime Ford fan – intentionally modified the code related to engine horsepower on the Ford Fusion, thereby giving Ford drivers an additional 15bhp.

While we didn’t find specific evidence proving that members who have raced the Ford Fusion knew about the ‘enhancement’, we also did not find conclusive evidence that they didn’t know about it, so in the interest of fairness the iRacing review board has decided to suspend all member accounts that have competed in an official race session in the Ford Fusion. The suspensions will vary in length based on the number of races the individual has completed and range from 1 – 6 weeks. In addition to the suspension, any championship points earned in a Ford Fusion will be forfeited. All those affected by this ruling will receive and email notifying them of their specific penalty.

Due to the large number of penalties; iRacing will not be considering appeals on this matter.

Eric has been terminated from his position and iRacing is searching for a new vehicle dynamics engineer.
