sick of idiots in this sim, every race it seems there is always at least one person who thinks they need to win the race in the first corner. so annoying when you are trying to maintain your safety rating and irating.

Besides what Superbike has said, one thing I suggest, is to look at the replay of your laps and the indecent. Then you will be able to tell who was at fault.
There's been a few times when I thought for sure that it was another drives fault, but upon me reviewing the crash, I found either it was mine, or simply a racing indecent.
 
The e-mail description says these new sounds are coming with the "early May" update, which would be just in time for S2 2013. They've done this twice before with the L49, making us think it was coming next season. I really hope they aren't stupid enough to do it again.

Also a few other things I noticed....

Corvette spoiler is painted, couldn't do that before.
Track surfaces at Laguna Seca and USA appear to be updated.
Sounds of course....sound great!

The biggest thing for me though is NTMv5. They said that was the only thing holding up the L49, so we can assume that it's on that car. Now the question is, which other cars will be getting NTMv5 to start?

Currently GT-E cars are faster than the DPs on the tracks they shared on the 2012 racing season and a GT3 car is faster than a GT-E car. Keep in mind that the current GT3 rules are much more flexible than GT-E and the development pace is much much faster as a result.

Edit: Hmmm... Some nice hints at some graphical updates there too... Looks like we will finally get some chore textures and we will be able to paint over the carbon fiber wings which was previously impossible to do, interesting...

With my computer, I got an Asus 23" 1080p monitor. Works great, and when I was doing street stock races last night, I was averaging 180 fps with mostly max settings, with a Nvidia gtx 660 2gb card.

Would I need anything extra to go buy two more monitors and go triples?

The Lotus has been coming for how long now? Wasn't it due out 2012 S4? And 2013 S1?

I'll believe it when I see it. Historical precedent suggests that it won't come out. Again.

I'm not completely sure, but I believe that with Nvidia card you need to run SLI to get triples. Please the more experienced guys clarify this.

How do you tell if someone is banned already or not? If he's not, it's worth sending that to iRacing. How many decent rookies will be put off iRacing for life because of this turd?
 
Not that I condone it, but I'll admit I laughed quite a bit. Mostly at how bad that guy was at wrecking people. He got a couple good ones in but normally he couldn't even figure out the different between 1st gear and reverse.

Yeah it is great fun, raced the Gen6 there when the iRacing NASCAR series raced there. Less enjoyable than it was in the trucks though.

I hate the trucks there right now in fixed series. Setup is way too tight period no matter what I do you can't drive in deep at all like last season allowed you to while still holding the bottom. We ran probably 30 laps out of 40 under caution for those reason with everyone having trouble with the setup.

I know a lot of folks hate loose setups but they at least allow you to correct without pushing up too much.

I thought you were talking nonsense until I checked for myself. I never realized that DP's were that slow. No wonder Grand AM cancelled with DTM. DTM cars are WAY faster than a GTE car.
 
Two races in a row, I've gotten caught up in a wreck that happened directly in front of me and didn't have a hope to avoid, I go on and have a clean race afterward and still gain safety rating. I'll probably hit 3.00 in my next race.

Hey guys,
my friend got a Logitech G25 yesterday and have some problems with his wheel on iRacing. The wheel works, but he has some problems with the Force Feedback "special effects" like a blowout etc. When he want to talk on iRacing the wheel think that he want the "tire blowout" effect and the Force Feedback works.

He can't turn this off in the Logitech profiler.. any ideas? :)
 
He is probably talking about the feeling you get when the ABS engages. This happens in cars that have ABS like the MX-5 when you brake too hard. I don't think there is a way to turn it off, I'm not positive though.

With a NVIDIA gtx 660 Ti, you can run three screens with no SLI.

I'm not sure on the difference between the Ti and non-Ti cards.

If your card has three outputs, buy two more monitors and try it :)

Have a look in the Hardware section of the iRacing forums, there are numerous threads on which cards will run triple screens, and which leads/adapters you will need.

I believe we do. I was running around with damage and all of a sudden out of nowhere bam! I was tossed into the wall to end up with more damage that could not be repaired. Watched the replay and it showed a puff of smoke at my RR and into the wall I went.
 
I'm thinking of trying my first Mclaren race this week, it's a lot of fun around Suzuka and I had a blast in a practice session with it last night..
