Honestly I do think If they get to many series going, we will see a drop in official races as we already have seen. As someone said they need to focus on what we have and grow with them.

One thing I wish they would do is instead of offering say World Championship for top series on both side, add more to each weekend or make some lower series have a real championship too (winnings could be yearly subscription or something like that).

Another thing is we need to stop adding new cars for only a series and more either multi class racing to already running series or multi car make to each series (I've heard rumors of Toyota to Gen 6 but get both nationwide/trucks too).

Anyone know about when the new schedules come out? I can't recall when they come out. Is it week 13? Or before?

Yeah guys I know the feeling about being to busy to race. Im in the same boat right now. Just don't have the time to get on as much as I want to or used to. With it being summer time that has a lot to do with it as Im sure this winter I'll have more time to race like always.

I've been meaning to get in here and post this but I haven't had the time. It might be better suited to the "your latest race" thread but I guess I'll just post it in here.

The other week I was online racing with a few friends. They always like to race in these nordgar tv mystery races that they broadcast. Im sure your guys have probably seen the races before in hosted as they do one every few days. The guys I was racing with are oval guys and don't do much road racing but sine it was at watkins glen they wanted to race. It was a crazy mixed class race with the radical, mclaren and the truck. What a combo right lol.

Since I have a few setups for the mclaren we decided on it and hoped in. Ive never ran watkins in the mclaren so it took a couple laps to get where brake markers should be. We got in right at the end of practice of course so we only got about 2 laps of practice then qualifying. I had a terrible qualifying and messed up t1 pretty bad putting me back in the field around 11th or so I think in the mclaren and around 14-15th over all.

It was a standing start which was interesting. There was a big pileup in turn 1 and I had to come to a complete stop to avoid it. I some how made it through and just started picking people off. Couple guys crashed ahead of me giving me a few spots. Had a good battle for at the time was either 3rd or 4th. Got by that guy after setting up a pass where I was stronger at that put me in 2nd by the time I got by him cause another guy crashed. That left just the leader in front.

Well they brought the fuel to a 50% fuel load so that would force a pit stop cause the race was 18 laps. I noticed it before the race that it was lower so I was checking my fuel the whole way. About half way I noticed I was 1.5 laps to the good so I knew about 2-3 laps to go I could at the least change the fuel map and make it without stopping. I guess the leader didn't keep up with it cause everybody was talking about pitting but I knew I would be good. The leader pits with about 5 or more laps to go putting me in the lead. I see at that point Im good on fuel I just need to get by the slower trucks and keep it clean and I got the win cause I knew the leader than pitted had like 8 secs to make up on me and I could afford to slow down a lot for those last laps. I put the fuel map on 2 for those last couple laps and brought home the win! I was so pumped lol.

That was my first time racing with those guys and I knew it was broadcasted which was cool but they also do interviews with all the winners after the race so I got interviewed lol. They post all the races on you tube a day or so after they broadcast them which is awesome. Here is the race below. That's me in the mclaren of course, Jason Williams, running the VR46 monster paint scheme. There is right much video of me cause I started so far back and passed so many people along with the battle I had with that one guy. If you guys have an extra 40 mins check it out and the interviews are at the end. This was probably one of the most fun races Ive had in iracing.

I finally fixed my wheel. For some reason it was over sensitive so I re-downloaded Logitech Gaming Software and re-did all the calibration tests and now it is back to normal. It was so sensitive when I turned 45 degrees iRacing simulated it as 130 degrees. rFactor did the same thing but when i turn 45 degrees it simulated 90 degrees. I'm going to be doing racing for the rest of the month since I have nothing else to do.

There's usually 5-8 of them in a global race, so not crazy popular, but not terrible...

Bit late but I just watched this videos and it's pretty cool. Good look at Bathurst, pretty impressive that it looks like they even modeled the wineries on the infield. Can't wait for you guys to drive this track on something as accurate as iRacing, it is just ridiculously amazing.
I'm sure there will be plenty of 'V8's on Bathurst' hosted rooms

Oh, in that sense it will be total fail. People can't handle not crashing into each other on places like Silverstone where there's a wide track and miles of runoff. How are they gonna deal with Bathurst?

I think it's specially made for people who want to lower their safety rating quickly.

But honestly that is going to be amazing to see Bathurst so accurately reproduced in a sim ad good as iRacing and be able to drive on it. Can't wait!

I just cant understand why we get 1x for driving on asfalt run off areas. Thats one huge reason people dont use em on tracks like silverarstone, instead people take the chance of crashing :/

You don't get a 1x for going on the tarmac run off areas, only if you cross grass and/or astroturf to get there.

My first race in a month and I wreck again... I'm really pissed off. I was doing the Global Challenge race at Lime Rock Park and the same guy forced me into the grass three times. The first time he decided to go three wide into turn 1 on lap 1. I was stuck on the outside not even knowing I was three wide when two guys below me start to come up and I went into the grass to avoid damage. The second time happened a lap later when he brake checks going into turn 1 forcing me into the grass to avoid him again. The third time happened a lap later again and he spins of of turn 3 and stops for a few seconds. Now I'm approaching him but he decides to try and turn himself around but he blocks the whole track. Trying to avoid him I go into the grass and hit wall, completely knocking the toe out of it. Race over on lap 3...

Yeah pretty sure. On a lot of circuits there is a small grass/astroturf strip just before the tarmac run off and running over them gives you a 1x. There is however some tracks that have just tarmac and on them you don't get a 1x, or on some tracks with grass/astroturf there is often a small part of it that is tarmac so you can run off there without getting a 1x.

Yeah spa is insane. If you cut the turns you get a slow down witch should be enough. I dont think we should get 1x for most of the road corses. In my opinion we should only get it from sand bags for the most part.

Just logged on, and I'm #2 for the Top 10 iRating gains for the last 24 hours on ovals
