Just curious on the GT3 series how the car balancing will work. Obviously there will probably be 1 car that is quicker than the others. Or, hopefully, depending on the circuit, one of the cars may have an advantage, which would make it like real life. I would really hope that the car that you use the first week, should be the car that you have to use the whole season to score points. That way we don't have people switching cars.

Also, does anybody have a list of balancing the RUF Track, McLaren, and Ford GT? Could be a fun little series.

You know, I run with 2 different groups who have done this quite successfully, but from the inception of the Ruf that's what everyone runs... Me being me of-course am running the McLaren since the Ford got taken away along with the Caddy due to just having 1 guy racing the Ford and no one using the Caddy, guess who that guy was!!...
Anywho it did make for some awesome racing!

By the time the checkered comes out it's around 11PM here in Florida, so that might be a bit late for the UK?

Went to do the Grand-Am race, but get taken out on lap 3 because some moron didn't know how to use his brake pedal.

13 minutes optional repairs. If I quit now, do I still get the MPR?

If I remember correctly if you quit your SR and DR take a larger hit than if you stay.

I thought just the iRating takes a bigger hit because SR is based on corners per incident.

It probably is, I haven't played in a while. And I mean like almost a year. Got pretty good at oval racing, would average top 3 every race in street stock, but then school came around. But I'm back.

I have been out of the game since July when my PC died. Only just got round to replacing it. Like you, mostly oval but now road is looking stronger with the RUF and such I may dabble back in some road.

My ISP hates iRacing since this is about 20th time I have disconnected in a race. It usualy does not disconnect during the day but it sometimes reboots in the middle of the night.

Anyways, Week 13 Road Legends has been fun so far, especially since it has provided a lot of close racing as long as a person can hold on to the car (it has a lot of random Oversteer and Understeer moments). This was the first race I did. My beginning rant is why my race ended early.

legends are very throttle sensitive because of being so short wheelbase and very front heavy so driving in deep is tough on the front tires.

Joined a club league race tonight, Ruf Track at Miami A course. I've Never been that much of a hazard on track, aside from gaining 4 or 5 spots on the start, the race went like s*** for me and everyone that I got in front of, I left on lap 4 or 5 of a 35 min race, 2nd or 3rd to leave mid race, a few guys left during practice. my OPTIMAL lap was 4 seconds off the top 2 guys

EDIT: This season looks awesome! LEGENDS HAVE A FULL SEASON OF ROAD COURSES!!!!!!! Skip Barber is always fun. L49 @ BATHURST!

But if you rejoin, and just do laps slowly, your add more clean corners to your SR, so it takes less of a hit.

Infinital-NG is correct, you need to compete 50% of the race for it to count for MPR.

The Legend road series looks like it could be a hoot :)

I tried a Legends set that Timmy Hill gave me last year.
Not sure why, but I was close to 3 seconds slower this season. PB is 59.8
I tried a set that I could not drive last season, and got down to 101.9.
Lucky I did the 1st qualifier and 2nd race.
Gained +79 IR :)
That said, I'm listed as Division 6 , but raced D5 this past season.
Is this an indication that I'm about to be demoted ?

Potentially but, make sure you aren't mixing up your Oval and Road divisions.

New RUF paint!

Well my first race back I was running 3rd in street stocks basically the whole race. 2 Laps to go a lapped car was letting me pass him low, but exiting the turn he hit the wall and came down and took me out with him. I luckily hit the wall and slide to the infield area, so I didn't get hit again. Turned around got back on track and limped around for last 2 laps. Ended up getting 7th.

1 Road race, Legends race at lime rock, was running 10th after being pushed off track then a guy spun and had a huge pile up, got involved. got back on the track in 9th. On lap 15 accidently shifted down twice and tanked my motor.
