Yet nothing about making the car hop less and not flip over from taking a corner with slightly too much steering angle? Going to be an interesting 2.4

I had this problem too but lowering it and setting it up right seems to fix the problem.

Overall the car handles good and don't forget the engine is on the rear axles. All the weight is on the back so all the bouncing and hops aren't that strange, only sometimes really annoying :P

Do you need a C-license to run the road warrior series? I'm pretty sure that last year anyone could run the Daytona 2.4.
iRacing member eligibility: All members in good standing with at least a Road D 4.0 are eligible to participate in this series. You do not have to compete in all races.
Unfortunately, yes you do need a C license to run the 2.4 and the Road Warrior series.

I've put about 7-9 hours into the setup at this point and have got it to stop rolling. I am on the pace of the rest of the field but the car still feels like it's bouncing WAY too much. I've watched enough sports car racing to know that a Porsche 911 does not bounce even slightly any more than any other car, and to know that a Porsche 911 should not bounce enough to cause it to two wheel quite regularly.

@Kamuifanboy try Nico Brandt's setups in the forum, I ran his interlagos setup at Laguna seca for the track car and dropped 2.5 secs (with a little learning curve too)

Maybe it's your setup, or you experience it more than I do.. It wants to bump sometimes getting out of a corner but other than that I think its pretty okay..

I thought the track version was claimed to be AWD but after re-reading the home page story it said the track was just a 500hp version and the AWD version would be released early 2014. So I assume there's a fourth one that's yet to be released and the track version is rwd? correct?

I read somewhere that it may never be released. Just depends if they can get a proper AWD feeling version working.

watch it come out in like 5 months right after rufmania dies out. Omg that would be torture. No one loves the DP :P

I'm loving the DP at the Glen this week for 90 minutes ;)

I'm probably focusing most on GT3 in my McLaren next season though

I just hope that we finally get the V5 tires along with the new physics Tony promised almost a year ago for the DP!

I forgot about the gt3 series. Is there going to be the P&GT series again next season? I'm just getting up to my B license and I've been waiting to race the vette for a while.

what was the setting that enables dirt build up on the windshield. I figured out that cockpit mirrors was causing my framerate loss so I'm redoing my graphics settings.

Proto Gt should stay as is. It might as well become a HPD only series. I have enjoyed racing the Ford GT in it, but most races are 5 FGT, 5 vette, and 25 HPD. Of those 25 HPD, only 12-16 have a brain and/or car control. I won 2 FGT races at Mosport, but I spent more time looking back to see who was coming than I did actually putting down laps. Road Atlanta will probably be the same way.

I did a season in the Ford GT in 2012. Hardest part was not getting run over, when I didn't get run over, I was usually miles ahead of the competition.

They really messed with the DP on the last update, I don't know if it was with the realistic weather but many Grand AM racers in the DP have been complaining of rear end wobble that was not present before. It's not the first lap ice lap that was present before, rather some weird wobble. iRacing says they'll have it fixed for next update. At least that's what another member told me.

I've done about 10 seasons of Proto/GT between the Ford and Vette and survival is absolute key, if you manage to survive and be fast just like Kamui said you'll win by miles. What I love about that series is that to be succesfull you need to learn how to read traffic and learn how to use the waves in your advantage, even on the slower cars.

ya I really hope they keep it around for at least one season so can't give it a shot. I might have to buy some tracks first though as the only road course I've bought is Montreal

I competed in 3 Ford GT races at Mosport last week. I won 2 of the three races. I was by far the fastest car in all 3, but in one of them, I was taken out not once, not twice, but three times by HPD guys. So frustrating  but I love racing the Ford GT. Very good looking and fun to drive

Well the super duper late model comes this coming update:D

Edit: And I guess they started on the DW12

Ford GT is a blast, one of my favorites but I've raced it so much now that I just can't bring myself around racing it or anything else at the moment... Raced it this season with the ISRA guys on their GTC league against the McLaren on the same GT class and the HPD on P1 which was pretty cool, but the regular series for some reqson didn't really got me like it had for the past 10 seasons.
Very much looking forward to the GT-3 series specially on S2 when we get the Z4 GT-3, the Ruf is nice but just something about a street car with Navi and reclinable seats performing as a GT-3 machine breaks it for me.

I think that's true with every series and is probably the best advice to give to new drivers at iRacing. As well, if everyone learned to read traffic they would be a much better racer.

Yes! Im so pumped for the SLM . Got so excited when they said a while back it would make the build then a couple weeks ago said it would be delayed a couple of weeks so got bummed out only to log on iracing yesterday and see it in the week 13 notes that its going to make the build! I've been wanting this car in iracing forever now back when there were just a couple of forum polls trying to get it scanned. Me and all my buddies on teamspeak that's all we race pretty much just short track stuff since half the guys on TS race local short tracks each weekend. We run the trucks and gen 6 on short tracks sometimes and it makes for some good racing with more power but I think the SLM will be so much better since its made for short tracks. We are going to start up a league for it I think shortly after we finish up this season in another league we are currently in so if we do I'll make a post up if any guys here want to join.

I might be in for some SLM short track action! I haven't really run much on the oval side this season. Depends on the day/time, though. When do you guys normally run?

We do hosted races for fun about every night or so but the league we run in races on Tuesday and Sunday nights at 9:30 pm eastern so I would assume if we did a SLM league it would be on Sunday nights around 9pm. The Sunday night series we are racing in now ends in 2 weeks just this weekends race and 1 more.
