^In practice I usually practice my starts by launching from the box getting the highest speed by the end of pit road. I know the Ruf does great with neutral drops :)

I've had multiple races ruined while leading in the Ford GT when an HPD who's not in the top 10 in class and further back overall than I am driving right into me while I'm getting out of his way
Oh God! Tell me about it! I've had idiots like that cost me a Division championship on more than 1 occasion...

It's fun to drive, but compared to cars like the Ford GT and McLaren it's difficult. I have raced once in the DP this season. I won an endurance race at The Glen. It was a lot of fun

I thought that at first as well, once you get a setup you like you can drive that car on the edge. You'll know exactly when you will lose the car from pushing it to hard. The GT and the McLaren aren't close in terms of speed and power, although the GT is a fun car to race, sounds great on a 7.1 system cranked loud.

If you raced once in the DP and won then you'll be ready to race the top splits against Mitchell & George.

I'm in division 5 in "World Sports Car Series", formerly known as the Grand AM Series. Don't know what else to tell you.
I don't see any results for you in WSCS this season. In 13s4 I see a race and you were in D2, which would make sense for your IR. You don't see anyone with IR over 2k (threshold is probably even lower) at the beginning of the season in D5.
BTW, I don't see your name in the GTPlanet iRacing Users Directory
I'm paranoid. I can PM you my name if you'd like.

Guys lets get that next proto gt race to be a full grid! WE CAN DO IT!!

I would but i haven't purchased Suzuka yet :(. Also, I bought the HPD before i realized how hated they are by other drivers & was thinking maybe I'll get the Corvette to run that series .

The Z4 has me excited!! The sound is amazing from what is heard in the ISR video. The end is a replay that let's you hear the V8 magic.

So the 3pm race was just as good with a 44 car field but the best part was equal car distribution, that was the biggest ford field ive seen all season at like 13-14 fords. I fought for 2nd the whole race while the guy behind me never fell further back than a second.

Can't..... wait...... Gimme Gimme Gimme.

That sounds really good, I feel iRacing has overall the best sounds of all the PC sims currently and in beta form, that's already the best attempt at the sound of the BMW. If only they got the Doppler to be more present, then they'd be damn near perfect.

Only issue I hear in it is while the meat of the sounds is there, its just lacks that crisp rasp in the higher revs.

I wouldnt say the GT3 series is better as it kinda reminds me of rookies, too many drivers making too many mistakes.
Well...I gotta get out of the Mustang/series, because I can't drive that car FAST for 🤬 without racking up 1X's to take advantage of the racing surface to keep up with the rest of the field! My average incidents is 3.5/race and this past weekend I was 9 seconds behind the pole sitter every race and finished last ever time way the 🤬 back, but at least I don't wrecked in the first lap any more. I'm just not comfortable in the car and can't still trust the car's handling after hours of tuning & testing.

The sounds were the finally hook for me to go to iRacing. I just upgraded to 5.1 on my PC and the Mustang, C6R, Cadillac CTS V8's are awesome!

My problem with the Mustang is the fact that its on street tires so it feels like the miata to me, and when you get a slide going in the miata you cant really save it once you start countersteering. But 3.5 inc per race is really really good, out of the 60 or so road races ive done my average inc is like 4.5. But atleast for this season in GT3 i own enough of the tracks to get full participation.

Exactly...Mustang 500RS-heavy RWD with BFG R1's that grip like you're on snot covered ice. I like it, just having issue driving it fast to stay within 30 seconds of the leaders.
Miata- once you get in a skid, ain't no bringing it back!

Question for anybody who can answer, can I use my logitech g27 on the Mac version of iRacing? Thanks.

I love the mustang. It's a real finesse car. It's made me so much faster as a driver as I learned proper driving lines for corners of tracks as well as finesse on throttle application on corner exit
