Part of the problem is that last part, too many heroes trying to force moves. Taken over 1.0sr just being knocked into or punted off this week. Hoping Interlagos will be better.

It really wasn't that bad. The weeks streamed race was pretty insane. I was rear ended for no reason on lap 3, and later watches all out war between the RUF's and the McLarens. At that point in the season though, things were already starting to get pretty ugly.

Some of my best races came from that track. Watch my most recent video posted to shintastic48 on YouTube.
 
I only did 2 PI races but i couldve came 3rd in the 2nd race if i didnt run wide on T2. Couple people got added to my blacklist though after being behind some of the worst blocking douchebags ever.

He was from spain, one time he got loose coming off of T3 the tight hairpin and i was gonna pass him on the inside but he immediately darted back in front of me and i had the slam on the brakes. He proceeded to block like a turd until i ended up going off, only time ive ever contemplated taking someone out on purpose. Also at the very beginning of the race 2nd place spun out 1st on the formation right before the green flag so that was the first protest ive ever filed not like itll do anything though. And yes i dont trust any Brazilians though, some of the most inconsiderate racers out there, especially the group of Brazilians that have a orange and white paint scheme with a GT3 logo on the side. At watkins there was like 5 of them and they were just a swarm of crashing bees.

Hey not all Europeans are bad. UK&I drivers for the most part are very clean. I find it's the Italians and Iberian club members you want to watch out for.

The iRacing Axis of Evil= Brazil, Italy & Iberia. Not all are bad obliviously but I'm always cautious with those 3 clubs.

I didn't say they were bad. Just they actually block. Almost every European or South American I encounter either blocks cleanly or dirty. Generally the UK drivers are clean. But I like the Australians because they don't do the nonsense in the first place.
 
Just had an epic GT3 race to round off Phillip Island, decided to have a stab in the Ruf, ended up on pole with my BMW quali lap and finished 3rd after an epic race long tussle with 3 other Rufs. Youtube video coming soon ;)

The Australians are good people to race with. Them and and the mustang regulars.

I just did a league race in the DP, it's our new road series car this season and this was the first race. Check out this start of mine! perhaps I impress myself to easily but it was an eye opener for me. I joined late and only got a couple qualifying laps in and qualified 16th aka last

And what's the problem with taking defensive lines aka clean blocking? Sure, it gets annoying if someone starts defending early in the race when all I want is just to sit in their draft until the last few laps, but it's their right. Some people just enjoy defending.

I've not had any problems with Brazilians/Italians/Spaniards, in fact I've had some awesome races with a few of them. Then again, I stay away from GT3.

Said battle, almost the full battle, started about half a lap before I hit record.
 
Given the share of time you guys spent off the racing line, I'm surprised you didn't get run over by the rest of the field. What's the point of going 2-wide in MG if you can just stay close behind and pass on the straight?
Good video, but seeing the way you've picked up those positions just makes me sad.

Rest of the field were so far behind us it didn't really make a difference. We were never gonna catch the lead Z4's. Definitely got fortunate on the crashes ahead but to be honest the passing the straight tactic wasn't working out, I'd rather be 2 wide in MG and take a chance there (which i pulled off once or twice) than have to risk it at turn 1.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't call it blocking. He was daring you to poke it in when he knew you wouldn't. In oval racing we call it pinching. Its not blocking, its just a way of keeping the attacking car at bay. Once you had gotten by him you should've been more aggressive because he got right back around you.

Oh no I wouldn't say we were blocking eachother or anyone else at all for that matter. Just actual racing. I could probably have been more aggressive with the Z4 but the Ruf I find a bit more of a handful to push hard in traffic.

Technically there is nothing wrong with it. I just find it incredibly childish, a waste of valuable lap time, and a massive annoyance when I am either way faster than the person blocking or they are doing it before the final 5 laps.
 
Not sure what's childish, with the exception of when lapped cars are doing it (which is more like stupid).
If you're behind somebody who's much slower then you either didn't qualify or had an incident before that. There's zero fault of a slower driver in front of you in the situation, and getting annoyed will probably (not sure, there might be people who drive better while annoyed) make you slower or prompt a risky move.

Not everyone competes for the win/podium. When the field gets spread out, driving the remaining laps might feel like a chore and a lot of people who are not doing iracing for points standings will choose to race you instead of letting you go easy, because that's their only chance at something exciting for the remainder of the race. I find that totally understandable, nothing to get annoyed with, and certainly not childish.
 
Wow this week's GT3 absolutely requires a good qually spot since half the field will die in the first few laps. There a few tracks that i seem to be really fast at compared to others and luckily Bathurst is one of them, the whole mountain section alone is more fun than Nurburgring.
 
Bathurst is so much fun, I'm finding the best way is to deliberately maintain a slower average than your otherwise capable of. Averaging 2.06.5 earlier saw m start from the pits and finish 2nd with a less than ideal fuel strategy.

Great fun though.
 
I'll have to come out of GT3 retirement and run this one as I actually stand a chance in the McLaren now with fuel strategy and the crashes
 
After practicing for 10 laps im already down to a 2.03 and i only struggle with one wall which is T9 where it dips and rises back up really fast and i tend to cut it super close sometimes getting 0x wall scrapes.

Im only at a 2.03.9 but there is still a few places to gain since my opt is a 2.03.4. I always manage to somehow find a faster way to get through the mountain section but the chase and the two 90 degree corners is where all my time is lost.
