Yea I saw that. I wasn't gonna do the last one as I was pre occupied with the Coke 600. Now I may be a bit more interested. Depends if I can figure out how to get the car around the track for more than 10 laps in a row.
Remember you have to breathe to make it to s4!DRIVER SWAPS FOR S4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DRIVER SWAPS FOR S4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good stuff!! Time to start putting Team GTPlanet together??Remember you have to breathe to make it to s4!
Really???????Good stuff!! Time to start putting Team GTPlanet together??
We have the talent well distributed over most all time zones to where we could have 2-3 cars on a 24hr race easily and very competitively.
Oh! And Ford GT GT-3 for S4 as well!!
Sorry, I meant GT-3 Ford GT for S3!! And very likely the HPD, DP, Ford GT GT2 a d Ruf C-Spec will be all grouped together in the same series!Really???????
Oh my they're really stepping their game up here. It's a good time to be iRacing!
Jonathan ButelLast few days, we had quite some mails with iRacing's president, Tony Gardner and fellow iR member David Scott2,
to try and make something of our two multiclass series P/GT and former Grand Am: World Sportscars
The first suggestion was to stop the Proto and GT series,
move the Sportscars series in B class from C
Include the HPD and FGT in that series.
Corvette gets its own GT1 Challenge at class C
The sportscars series would use the former Proto/GT grid size (45 cars) to limit the possible class splitting issues
Then this mail went in the box, Tony said it could be made public.
To that mail, I replied that I maintain my suggestion to keep the real Ford GT (the GT2/GTE) into the Sportscars seriesPossible change of plans (sort of).
We may have a GT3 version of the Ford ready for build. So whoever has the Ford GT would also get a the Ford GT3 for free. We would put the Ford GT3 car in the GT3 Series.
I don’t think the Ford GT will be much used in this World Sports Car Series…. We will add the Ruf so would still would be three classes in the World Sports Car Series. Steve is still worried 4 classes cause complaints so trying to eliminate what will likely be least used based on past experience but I guess we could keep the Ford GT in there as well. It did look like a good few did run the Ford GT in the test David did below.
As simply an FYI, we may at some point pretty soon (not for build) also have a second offshoot BMW car, GTE type car which could also go in this World Sports Car Series, but don’t plan on that for build but another reason maybe not to have the Ford GT.
I don’t mind if you mention on the forums if you wanted.
I can detail the reasons if needed,
but just think about all people that are going to buy the Ford because it's available in GT3 Challenge...
When that GTE BMW is ready (iRacing already said they're working on a TUSC partnership and signed a Corvette DP)
We will see what we do of the Ford GT2/GTE.
The Ford GT3 was or is being built from the Doran GT2 with the homologuations documents of the Matech GT3 if I understood correctly the next mail (there never was a Doran Ford GT3, the Lambda team just didn't word properly their website infos).
I suggested to tweak the body so at least the car gets the details of the GT3 Matech body, but for now it's a no.
I have no idea if the Z4(?) GTE will also be a fictionnal one with the GT3 body, this one can't do without a rescan tbh.
Is it a legit GT3 Ford or just the GT2 car re-spec'd?Sorry, I meant GT-3 Ford GT for S3!! And very likely the HPD, DP, Ford GT GT2 a d Ruf C-Spec will be all grouped together in the same series!

At what rate is the SR calculated in the unofficial(not enough people) races?
I opted for the nascar race tonight because I feel reading the forums after will be more fun than the actual race.50 laps of LRP. My body is ready... For a demotion.
Dw12apparently IWCGPS is getting a different car? Any idea guesses what it's gonna be?
