The DWC will undoubtedly be the DW12, makes no sense for it to be anything else.

My sub ran out yesterday :( In the midst of battling for the GT3 Div7 title as well. Managed to get 8 weeks raced but 2 of them were poor points hauls. roll on the start of my new job and hopefully S3!

So DP at Sebring. I've gotten some good laps in. Won a garbage SoF race earlier this week. It's no Watkins Glen, but Sebring is pretty good for the car

I'm loving the high population in A fixed this week. The new aero package make pack racing fun! no more tandems!!

I will be around for the next 2 years as a new Iracing member. If only I can find my way out of rookie hell
autopromotion is at 3 SR these days iirc, just do a few clean time trials. some really worthy competition at D class road. Both Spec Ford and Caddy have very solid careful drivers even in teh low splits.

Sounds like fun. Once I get the hang on that MX-5. What a slippery little car. I am still slow as far as Iracing standards are concern. Only did a few TT this weekend and I was off the pace

Dont worry about being slow, just be consistant.
Clean laps/races will raise you SR quickly.
Just be smooth with the MX5, and use "auto blip" on the gear change (also give the throttle a blip when down shifting to prevent the rear wheels locking up)
Don't worry about your pace...that will come with time. It took me about a month to get to grips with the MX5.
Maybe try qualifying events (these are worth more for your SR then TT's)
I must admit I have driven the Caddy and SFR and they are both good (i think the SFR is a great stepping stone from the MX5 and drives nicer. The Caddy understeers pretty badly)

i think it also needs to be said that if you rack up 2k or so MMR in MX-5, expect to get your ass handed to you in top splits of other series. Just so it doesnt come as much of a shock to you as it did to me:P

So the KIA is awesome, just saying.. I don't know what they did to it, but it's so much fun!

Road racing changes for next season.. From Tony Gardner

http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3262489.page

If I don’t mention it, it has not changed:

Road Racing:

Rookie:

Legends Road Racing Cup: Gone.

Production Car Challenge: New Series, MX5 Roadster (not MX5 Cup) and Solstice. Multiclass.

D:

Grand Touring Cup: Mustang, VW Jetta, and Solstice. Multiclass, Grid by speed, Mustang will be first.

iRacing Mustang Cup: Tough decision but gone for now.

C:

Advanced Mazda MX-5 Cup-Open: New Series. Will just be the MX-5, not the Roadster.

Global Challenge-Open: New Series with Cadillac and Kia. FYI, The Global Challenge-Fixed stays at D class.

Corvette Challenge: New, short races. Open setup

World Sports Car Series: Kill it at C but it moves to B with new cars.

B:

World Sports Car Series: Moved from C with new cars, 4 cars gridded by speed. The four cars are in no particular order Ford GT, LMP/HPD, Riley DP, Ruf C Spec

iRacing GT3 Challenge: Please note a strong possibility a fourth car might be added. The Ford GT3 car, it will look pretty much identical to the existing Ford GT. If you own the existing Ford GT you will get for free and if buying it would get the two versions going forward.

Prototype and GT Challenge: Gone

Oval: Since people will ask, No changes to the series offered but always looking to tweak things in terms of scheduling etc.

the mustang is in gtc. It'll do fine now. Plus you can get more official races even if there's no mustang.
That's great, but what was wrong with leaving the Mustang Cup as well? The series was doing just fine as it was. Why eliminate a series with good participation? They tried the same thing with the vette and HPD and all it did was drop the number of people who drove the vette.

I agree. There are plenty of people, myself included, who really enjoyed the mustang cup. It had more official races than multiple series, and it was an excellent group of clean racers in which most had said that they weren't going to keep racing if it went multiclass. I'm disappointed in that, but I am looking forward to the new World Sports car series. That will be a huge one

Same here. plus I can exploit the production car challenge for iRating. It's the new legends farming. Btw, so many fast guys have discovered "legends farming" that i's not really farming anymore. We have a 3900 SOF the other day.

If you need to farm irating then you shouldnt be in that split. That is the point of irating, to place you in splits with people of similar skill. All your doing is beating your head against the wall. You get in the top split and get to run 1 maybe 2 races and then your irating is to low for top split so off to farming to get back to the top split and start over. For me I would rather have good completion in the 2nd or 3rd split than to be out classed in the top split.

What I meant was that people (including myself) use that series to boost up our irating because rookies run it and they are easy to beat.
