Extremely disappointed with the Ford GT3 car. STOP CUTTING CORNERS IRACING! i dont want a GT3 car with a GT2 body, it's lazy and i see this starting to become a trend, i bet they take the GT1 vette and give it GT3 specs without changing the visuals.

I don't think there is anything wrong with doing it at all. Gives us a nice new option in GT3 without having to wait 3 years for them to scratch build it.

Generally, very happy with the new changes to road. The new MX5 advanced will be very good and the Vette challenge should be good too. Hopefully it will follow the GT3 schedule.

I had to reinstall iRacing today (for whatever reason) and now the 2048 textures is greyed out. I had it checked before the reinstall and now cant seem to check it again.:confused::confused:.

Anyone had this problem before??

Edit:
Problem Fixed

I agree. There are plenty of people, myself included, who really enjoyed the mustang cup. It had more official races than multiple series, and it was an excellent group of clean racers in which most had said that they weren't going to keep racing if it went multiclass. I'm disappointed in that, but I am looking forward to the new World Sports car series. That will be a huge one

Didn't the participation take a dive this season? I'm looking for something different to run besides SRF and I was thinking about Mustang cup for this season since many weeknight races had decent grids and SOFs, but this season it looks like there were only Friday/Weekend races with decent participation.

Might take up GTC now.

Participation was doing about like it was last season. Depending on the track, it would be a little more or a little less than the last few seasons. Generally Thursday-Saturday had official races at the high traffic times with Sunday and Monday generally having them as well. It certainly was doing better participation wise than some other series like WSCS and V8s

For Thursday nights, which is normally when I race, V8s has an official race every week that frequently splits. Mustang series during those times looks to go official mostly, with SOF ~1500. I must have not looked carefully last season, if you're saying that the participation is about the same.

Looks like a lot of people will flock to the new WSCS, so GT3 might become less of a wreck-fest, so I might do that. Then again, GTC will be a D-class, meaning one fast repair and a lot less frustration from ruined races.

I'm gonna hop into the Mustang tonight and bang the walls at the Mountain to see if I still like the car.

Could someone download and/or copy paste the post from Tony Gardner about the road racing changes. I can't get on the forums again until I reactivate in a few weeks time.

After a 2 week break i came back to run GT3 at Okayama and managed to win somehow. New GT3 schedule for S3 looks awesome and hopefully iRacing change BoP and we see a wider variety of cars instead of 20 BMWs and 5 rufs and maccas. Interested to see how the ford handles but still disappointed with the lack of any visual alterations.

I'm bored, Mosport is awesome, we have awesome GT cars and awesome proto cars... Hosted short race at Mosport with the Riley, Radical in the Proto Class and the GT-3 cars in GT! Open to everyone!

Still around 20 minutes till green! Everyone feel free to jump in for some mixed class fun!

Just had a points finish I'm never gonna best this week. Still in second in my division, now just by three points, sigh. I hope the other guy improves his tally, so it's not that close...

Week 13 all ways sucks in Iracing for me. The unofficial races are mostly a ghost town after the 3rd lap because everyone leaves if they aren't in the lead by then. The official races are mostly races I am not interested in.

You might also get it in November.
If got my $5 last week, my anniversary is August 2nd.

Question to Mustang people: where do I shift that thing and how much it is worth over shifting at the limiter?
Ran a practice session yesterday at Mosport, then looked at the quickest lap for the session and discovered he's using a higher gear in many corners.

Trying to figure out how far off the pace I am in general.

In heavy cars with high HP ex. vette, caddy, mustang It's faster to not make that one last downshift and roll it through the corner and get on the power earlier. It'll also save time on the straights because you will skip one shift.

I'll clarify: at what RPM do I shift into 3rd/4th/5th to get the best acceleration on straights?
I believe it's about 6200-6500 from memory. Haven't driven the stang in a while, but I'm pulling it out for CTMP
