Thanks. I played Prologue since 2008 & online since early 2009, I organised most of the race events on GT Drivers for over a year, we used to race 6 nights a week plus TT's, I'm gonna miss those guys they're a great bunch of lads. I came 58th in the UK GT Academy 2010 which I was happy enough with, after dropping out of the top 250 I bought a race tutorial book applied the things I leanred & worked my way back up. That in itself is a testament to the realism of that physics model, it also helped me get faster in Prologue, although applying what I've leaned doesn't seem to have much effect in GT5.
I also drove a few race cars at a track day with no rev or speed limits & was encouraged to push them to the max, so I know what the reality of that feels like & GT5 by comparison has way too much grip & is generally too tame & dumbed down.
Polyphony Digital, if you're listening: please bring back Pro & Standard physics with Pro being the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial physics model & the current one as Standard.
Wishful thinking I know, but I had to say it.

and to think that some people are already complaining at how hard it is to drive some cars in the game right now, some even say that it's a glitch...
Lol, still even though I'm not a very good GT player, I certainly don't mind having the option of a Pro simulation mode in the future![]()
Sorry VBR I need to call shennanigans on your comments about the physics model and grip. I'm not sure what car or combination you were running but this game definitely works very well. I will admit there is more grip in this model than the GT Academy model had, and if anything thats a good thing, its far more realistic. Academy the car just slid around way too much like it was on skates, yes it could be controlled with a light touch, but just because it was tough, doesn't make it real. The Rally cars however even have too little grip, I literally JUST got back from rally school and I can say with full confidence gravel and dirt is not as slippery as it is in this game.
I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with you about experience or anything, it sounds like you have far more experience with this game than I do. But I do have a ton of real life experience and based upon that, and playing the game a lot over the past 6 days, I can say I 100% disagree with your comment. Sounds like many others here would too.
