Gamestop has sub contracted planes to make special same day flights to have the game shipped from up north to everywhere else so that we can have the game today. They do that for the really big releases. So gamestop, eb and the like will be the first retail outlets to get this game, period. Everyone else is just at best, next daying them from the distribution centers so they can release it wednesday. Places like wally world and target wont even do that, since video games make up about .00001 percent of their total sales they could care less about spending money to get the games there any faster.

i dunno, sounds really, really expensive to this throughout the country. they must have one hell of a mark up on these in order to cover this expense. a local Target received some yesterday & will be for sale this morning. we will see. seems to be alot of hear say & guessing on the methods of distribution to get a game to market on the release date.
i was at Wal-mart this morning @ 7a.m. to pick up some oil & checked out the electronics section. they had a cart with boxes marked "street date sensitive" on them. these were DVD's & CD's, so i asked the girl & she said that they put out the new games around 2pm.

if you have a paying customer, then let that bastard pay!!

well i have said this countless times in some threads that what they mena by "ships on 2/22/05" it means that they ship it out from teh warehouse to the stores. basically eithe arriving today at night or early tomorow. so basically the games doenst really come out till 2/23/05.

my local EB Games has the boxes on the shelf, but they told me they won't be ready to actually sell it til tomorrow.

they probbly want to play it during today

but tomorrow is still during the week.

kids are at school, teens are at work OR school.

parents could go and get it, but even THEY work.

and my work shift doesn't start until the afternoon, so i am free to (im)patiently sit at the EB Games entrance until opens so i can mug the clerk and come home with my copy...jk i'll buy it like everyone else.

it's the perfect plan, it cannot fail!

the only people who COULD buy it are the few like me who don't work (or begin their college classes) until the afternoon.

Hey Guys, Im at work right now(BBY) and our delivery truck should be here at 1pm with the game, if anyone is intrested in Chicago burbs, Best Buy should have the game on the floor by 3pm.
Unless it specifies on the game that it cannot be relased till 23rd.

In about 3 hours, I can. Called 2 malls , 2 EB and 2 Gamestops. They all said around 12-1 pm est.

Just glad to hear that some places are getting it in today, gives me hope. Well target has failed me, they said the 24th... I'll be waiting outside of EB before they open, and I'll be calling BB (pre-ordered it there) while I am waiting at EB... Hopefully one of these stores will come through for me...

A. preppin the item for shipment

B. Waiting for more copies

Or is it possible that they might get not enough copies too cover all the preorders because they put in the order a long time ago, so all the people preordering like yesterday are not covered. Meaning if I go to EB late tomorrow night I might not get my copy because some fag that preordered at the very last minute came in earlier then me?

I hope you spoke with someone reliable, I called three of their stores in Montreal and nobody could confirm a delivery date. EB Games won't have it them until tomorrow, and Wal-mart answer range anywhere between perhaps today to March.
