Well heres some ****...

I called the local GameStop to see what the deal was with Gt4 today. This is about what happened.

GUY: Thank you for calling GameStop...etc...how can i help you?
ME: Hi, i was just checking to see if you've gotten Gran Turismo 4 yet.
GUY: No, we dont get it till tommorow.
ME: I see. Ive been hearing that other stores will start handing out pre-orders as soon as they get them. Like, maybe later today or as soon as they come in.
GUY: Yeah, but we wont be getting it till tommorow.
ME: So you wont be getting it today at all?
GUY: No, thats only in the North.
ME: Ah..................alright.

So what the hell? I mean, we arent that isolated.
 
Northeast Georgia checking in. I got it! EB Games, Georgia Square Mall in Athens. Got tons and tons of them. Selling them since 2:00 this afternoon.

It looks like EB is ruling the day...

Well, my local Gamestop said they were actually sending someone to the airport to pick up the shipment so they could sell them today (in about another hour, I think). Which means that if a store chooses NOT to go out of their way to get the game early (like the one quoted above), it'll show up on the normal UPS run tomorrow morning. So you've got some lazy GS employees there that don't feel like doing anything extra for their customers. And I guess they're content to lose sales to all the other stores that WILL get it today.
 
Well, Gamestop just called and told me I can't have it until tomorrow. Frickin gamestop, they told me I could pick it up this evening, now it's tomorrow. Argh.

Well im about 25mi out of seattle and 1/4 of the stores i've called is gonna get it tonight, at 9:00

I dont get why, we, a major import state, are not getting it sooner than this.
 
Apparently the storms in California are delaying the flights carrying the game. I just called my GS (who said it would be there.. um.. now), and they said it MIGHT be there in another two hours, otherwise I'd have to wait until tomorrow morning. Which sucks.

Same here in the Portland area. I have heard after 8 from one Game Crazy and at 9pm from another.

yeah I got the same news from them over and hour ago but havent been able to pull the forums up until just now. I think they close at 9 so Im gonna make one last phone call around 8 and Ill probably go by the store around 8:30ish if they still think they might get it tonight. if worst comes to worst Ill get it tomorrow and cut out of work a little bit early. oh and I gotta try to pick it up on my lunch hour so I can rub it in one of my coworkers face. 👍

i think the website is having trouble...I couldn't get on for like an hour. more people veiwing now.

Still no sign of gt4 in san diego. Hopefully i can get it tonight on the way home. your right about the storms, we habe a tornado watch right now, one came down north of here somewhere.

anybody in SD and knows of a shop with gt4 please let me know!
 
Praise be to Allah Electronics Boutique (Rideau Centre), in Ottawa came through for me. I'd like to here by appologize to EB for the previous "lying bastards" comment, and that poor, terrified clerk, that didn't have the game for me when I went in at noon to see if it was there (they put it on sale at 7pm). Now, for a phat bowl, and several sleepless nights....

Yeah, since you're getting it at the same store. :) They said it MIGHT be there by 8:00, but they won't know until it shows up. They said to call back at eight, which I will.

I didn't use specific times earlier because of the different time zones and stuff.. people are easily confused. :)
 
Yeah thats what a game crazy told me, 9:00 tonight.

A gamestop said tommorow, and my local (literally under a mile away) said tomorrow aswell. Its lame.

But i think im gonna go check out game crazy, the guy said there maybe some extra copies, but they will go fast. (obviously)

*sigh i must have it tonight. I woke up early today, expecting to be able to get a copy before they were all gone. only to find out that i have to wait another day.

On the up side, the guy at the store amused me, this is basically the call

"hello, thx for calling game crazy how can i help you?"

"9;00"
"... Gran turismo?"
"yeup, have you reserved it?"

oh, and that pic makes me look like a real winner. i guess that's what lack of sleep results with.
 
Where in Montreal can i buy GT4? Because Futureshop doesn't have... But how much cost GT4 in EbGames in Montreal?
