I apologise Famine. What I should be saying is, these settings are for everyone to enjoy. They will drop your time if you give them a chance. They will help you get past the barrer that you thought was impossible.

*drums fingers impatiently*

Would you like a demonstration of how unimpressed I get when people ignore me?

I probally won't take your advice, because the way I see it, is that every one drives differently, so maybe you will take that in to consideration, please? However if I see a good fix I more than likely will use it.
Huh? You won't take my advice, but you WILL if it suits you? Do you want me to review your ride or not? :boggled: Jeez, you're the one who asked me to do it!

I will certainly take into consideration the fact that you drive 'differently' than me, since I don't consider myself a sucky driver. No offense. :odd:

Next car will be the Chrysler Prowler'02 The track will be; Tsukuba 1 lap. I got a 57.685

This one ran okay, but I felt it had a little understeer, I will have to correct that. Quite a few dirt trap slides but no donuts.

I'm trying the JDK Speedshop (or GoKart or whatever it's called) Prowler first.

I was confused what the hell "use the best parts" means. Some people consider stock parts to be the best, ya know. :odd: Thankfully, I found this list...

racing exhaust
racing chip
R5 tires both on front/rear
Nitrous
stage 2 turbo
racing brakes
brake controller
racing suspension
racing tranny
triple plate clutch
racing fly wheel
carbon drive shaft
all aids off
no wing
fc lsd
weight-50
stage 3 weight red.
port polish
engine balancing
roll cage
balance, all the way to the rear
oil change
used rims pd? the ones that look like muscle car.
car wash

A bit confusing, quite a mess, but then most of this thread is a mess. I used the recommended ballast for the JDK Prowler of 50/-30, not the above given ballast of -50.

Not sure why nitrous is being used? I've never seen a tuning directive for a road course that specifies nitrous is supposed to be used, so THAT was a bit confusing, too. :boggled: 1/4 milers use it sometimes, but on a road course?? I'm guessing the nitrous was used so TOURNIQUETFAN could get as low a time as possible (since he's mentioned he 'drives in the grass', does 'donuts', and has trouble keeping a solid line thru corners, in so many words).

His use of R5 tires seems a choice to possibly keep the Prowler ON the road as much as possible, since we busted him from using Driving Aids. Perhaps (without aids) his driving was so pathetic, even he would have been embarassed to post times??? :embarrassed:

Anyways, I decided to do a run without nitrous, and then one with the JDK setting of '50'. I just feel a little silly tapping a nitrous bottle around Tsukuba

I got a 54.121 without nitrous, and 53.314 with nitrous.

Both runs weren't my best work, as I'm not really taking this thread too seriously. Some things I noticed. Not really advice, but just stuff to nitpick.

Surprisingly, the JDK Prowler is driveable! I was expecting something alot worse. If it were on sport tires, I'm sure it would be all over the track, for instance. I'm sure there would be lots of spins (since the rear is jacked way too hgh), lots of understeer (due to the odd placement of ballast IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR!!!

But on R5 super-soft, the Prowler feels like the entire track is coated with Krazy Glue or something.

In fact, that's the main thing that bugged me. Too much grip. The Prowler darts and twitches with the slightest movements, mostly due to those super-grippy tires; I'd much prefer sport tires on this car (especially since it's being driven on such a short, twisty track). But whatever.

Well, I got my first glimpse into the twisted mind of TOURNIQUETFAN, and now I need a drink!:cheers: A STRONG drink!

Hey Parnelli, thanks for that comment, want a tougher car? How about the Shelby Cobra 427 '67 ?

This was a tough one to conquer; However, I got a 0:58:221 on Tsukuba.

I used R5's and a supercharger.

This one came out alot better than the Special. I think I did a great job, try it your self.

I guess everyone feels differently about which car should get on each separate track. As far as Tsukuba goes I feel, any four cylinder car should get under a minute. My next track, I think under a minute thirty is good. That is another difference in my tunes. My Trannys are close to the longest straights on each track. That way I won't top out in the middle of the straights.

So here is my next car, the Polyphony Formula GT this car is a revision of my last one. I got a 1:15:774 on Fuji Speedway 90's

This baby handled well, Lotus builds some fantastic cars. Since my garage is in the Midwest I gave 'em a call and they said I could turn it into a Hot Rod. JDK Speed Shop really enjoys this one I told 'em, and now you can too!

How about the Audi R8 race car? Hmmm. A whole lot of power on tap without a Turbo of any sort. Just trow in a roll cage and R5's. Not to mention a car wash and an oil change. Might do well. Infineon will suit me fine. I got my goal hit, under a min. thirty.;1:27:717. Fantastic in my hot rod race car.

I'm gonna need a Rally car, I'm thinking the Lotus Elan S1 '62 on the Swiss Alps. Ah, hit my goal; under two minutes; 1:57:289. I think I did a good job figuring it is a FR, I think that 4WD's are so cliche' on the scene.

Same parts as above, the Audi R8. I got me a 1:16:601, once again not my best work, along with the Audi R8. Maybe race cars aren't meant to be worked on. But whatever, onto our next car, the Dodge Viper SRT 10 '03. This will be fun!

I'm goin' a little different and using a Supercharger instead of N/A tuning. R5's used. Twin Ring Motegi - West Short Course used. Got a 0:36:581 I guess that is okay but once again I was paying attention to the car's performance. As you may know if you review this car, notice that I cut alot out of this Tranny. The one good thing about this build, was the Tranny it is the correct set-up for this track. If you take it anywhere else it will need to be changed.

Next, we will tame the Toyota-7 race car '70 on the Fuji Speedway.(2005 GT).

Here is another example of my worse work, this car flat out sucks, without aids, except TCS of two. The Audi R8 did better than this. Set-up only by request! Maybe I should have left the aids on. Made a 1:37:558.

Let's give the Chaparral 2J '70 Race Car a go on;Twin Ring Motegi-Road Course. Fantastic control! did much better than the Toyota-7 JDK Speedshop is pleased!
