Yeah I have a feeling the NSX would be the car to beat on this track, down on power in the HSR, but Autumn Ring I think it should be a lot faster than the GTR's/Supra's

EDIT: @ Playerone, taking the wider line over the white line gives you a significant advantage, you can apex turn 6 faster, have a higher exit speed, and take turn 7 full throttle easily. If you keep to the inside of the white line, the hardest part is getting the right turn in point for turn 7 to take full throttle. So if taking the wider line was allowed, I would use it all the time, as I have in the past, but I'm going to have to unlearn that line and be consistant for the race to keep my times legit.

Yeah with some tuning i managed to get a substancial amount of grip comparing with the other GT500 cars i tried. My problem now is keeping speed after turn 9|10 . . it's the only place where i still have the back of the car sliding, and i only got it perfect that one time  but with that speed kept i couldnt keep my car on track in the last corner, so against the wall i go :grumpy:

there is some time to be saved on this lap, i know i can knock a second off if i can ace the first corner and be consistent through the rest of the course..

Question, how can we be sure that everyone is using the craptastic digital controls of the PSP and not using a dualshock3 with a PSP Go?

Question, how can we be sure that everyone is using the craptastic digital controls of the PSP and not using a dualshock3 with a PSP Go?

It doesn't matter if they use the DS3 since it still wouldn't be pressure sensitive as the game isn't programmed to be pressure sensitive. Besides, there is only one person that I know of that is using a PSP Go!(niigaki).

There are a number of people using DS3s (and not just with the PSP GO). Yes, the buttons still aren't pressure sensitive, but having a wider and much more accurate range of motion is definitely a plus. I'm currently stuck using the PSP's 'craptacular' nub. Though Sinister has offered to help me get my Logitec GT Force Pro wheel working with this game (I just need IRShell working on my PSP first).

I'm pretty consistent at 1:16.8XX

I'm going to try to push the time a bit, but for the moment I want to put it up to be sure I qualify. :)

Frankly, your GT500 is impressive to me - I'm about a second behind at 1:15.xxx.

We don't need to submit our time until tomorrow night (per Justin), so you can improve on that if you'd like!

:)

any update on the rules, Justin?

how many laps do we have to do considering the replay limit?
mandatory upload of replays for everyone?
how many times can we go wide with all four wheels off the track when racing?
what else am I missing?

GT500 Race time, not final, but i'm fairly happy with my pace through the race.

I'm using a PSP Go but, no mods and not using the dual shock 3. I think using other controls besides the PSP native controls is against the spirit of the competition, but that is just my opinion and not my descision to make in regards to whether to allow such devices or not.
