There are also ways around that too, for example having 2 of the same car, 1 with stage 3 and one without. All I wanted to know was a legitimate way to check as I will be viewing the replays for season 2. I now know the correct way :)

You can see the difference by just watching them in a room once you know what to look far before a race starts.

Btw I wanted to fully tune or open all the cars up and then balance them that way, because if you don't you have to watch every replay to see if someone is cheating or not. Just sitting there staring at the turbo gauges or the rpm gauges, ahhh sounds like a tedious weekly job. When I get home I will try to cheat the pp system and see if there is a way to corrupt it. Hopefully not tho (fingers crossed) it will make our lives easier if not.

I don't mind checking redline weekly, can do that for you if plan goes through.
 
Some cars with stage 3 sound incredibly different, like the RX-7 with stage 3 turbo sounds totally different when you follow it, the only way to cheat the PP system is to run lower downforce, but if you do BHP and weight checks first, then PP checks this should be avoided,

BTW Joe, Nice work, my missus didn't appreciate me fetching a pay check on V-Day, so I'm getting her a 3DS and some Skylander's ACH!

Sharing the car is the best way. If you have every car you can test them to see the setup on the downforce level. So if 'Jimmy' runs downforce of 30/57 and his PP equals say 545 in his shared cars, then his car in the lounge should be the same. If people want to make it fair, they can disclose how much weight and aero their running and you can test it on your own version of the car to figure out the PP's.
 
Seth u forget that with sharing I could just buy another one use it in a b spec to get the milles the redline is the only way we know each others pace so it will be picked up easily if anyone is cheating
 
Guys just look at redline lol. Same as GTRRL, I know at start of season I check redlines, but as only the rx7 is the sole car banned from stage 3 there isn't that much work

They're talking about the GT3 version but it does get confusing 'cause he refers to GT300 Super GT along with the story.

GT300 cars are, of course, strictly limited to 300ps.

As I've been away all week and haven't been able to do any testing I'm going to stick with my original choice of driving the Celica for season 2, I really did want to have a good test before making my decision but hopefully I can get it up to scratch.

I think everyone can choose whatever car they want while we wait but if someone above you maxes out a team then the fourth driver in one team will have to choose a different car. It just speeds things up i think.

Yes Bazzer, because there's 15 so everyone can get some practice time you guys can select. But if you select a car, and people above you max out the team, you will be for ed to change.

Calum, car choice is free to change until the season begins. This draft lottery is to ensure the guys who have already signed up get a car they like.

You know what mine might be tuned up too, ill check and post soon. I believe Zach is running the practice race at midnight GMT, but the room will be open at 11pm. Man I wish I could race at those time slots. I'm at my best at those times plus no distractions from the house hold or missing races because my daughter is here.

Attn everybody keep a look out for a standard Rx-7 in the UCD for the next couple of weeks, seems Bazzer is going to need one.

I'm running the Celica next season lol, I won't be needing one.

Edit - Both RX-7's are 1170kg Phil.

1170kg for now, but if they dominate pre season then well bump them back up to their original 1180kg weight

I'll give feedback tonight if the rx7 dominates. If I'm gonna be hit by a weight penalty, I'd rather it be before the season starts than after the first few races lol.
