Give it a rest, not 1 person has agreed with you Seth. If it went to a vote only you want it, can you not see that?

No one asked you. If you have nothing to comment about it then don't say anything about it. I wasn't talking to you in the first place, so butt out.

Why keep ragging on me about it then? If I'm not talking to you, then don't respond. Really simple.

Cough*pm*cough

Skeng I won't be around but if you guys want to launch another pre season race I think that would be great. It looks like we finally found a lot of the hardcore drivers from the GTP. We all have good records so I'm sure there won't so many free points out there grab. Makes me proud this is one of my series. :gtpflag:

You don't even need to win to take the championship. All you have to do is place consistently.

This weekend I'll be hosting a room. More unofficial practice so you guys can get used to each others styles and hopefully avoid incidents in the series.

Room will be open from 11pm GMT, so 1hr before normal race time. Will be open for 2-3hrs.

Will run 10-15 lap races, and try out weather on selected tracks.

If anyone has any ideas then we can also try them out if a majority of people want to

Here, here zach! I wish I could make it but I will be finishing off my Valentines day weekend. I will be coming home to my CSW Wheel & Rseat tho. Cant wait 48hrs to go. My dumba$$ bought both wheels (F1 & BMW). Await photos. :sly:👍

Eh you lucky bugger. :sly: Must be great stepping up from a controller to a full rig.
Will help you trail brake and save tires. 👍

There have been certain tracks (Spa, Tokyo, Motegi)were I was following Veloci and I would want to run up on the rumble strips and then switch back the other way but I could not do it with a d-pad. Analog sticks are better for rolling turns hence Seth & Litchi, but I never got used to them because they felt like I was trying to fly an airplane instead of driving a car. I heard the learning curve for a new wheel user is anywhere from 2 weeks up to 3 months to get very solid at using a wheel so there's a chance I still might use the D-pad for Season 2 so I don't crash into people. In the mean time I will be practicing with the wheel until I get clean with it. I've used a cheap one before, and I was able to hit my lines by myself with a couple of hours of practice laps, but it was difficult to hold a line when I was side by side with another driver. I do expect to be faster because when I tested the cheap wheel vs my D-pad I matched my lap times of the D-pad, but never went faster then my D-pad. But like I said that was using a cheap one with just a few hours of practice with the wheel not even properly clamped down so,... Yea!

Should be no problem for you then. Using a wheel has made the game alot more fun for me.
The main points will be how to feel the wheel and deal with under/over steer, but given that you kart it should come pretty fast.
I remember after playing with a wheel for awhile and I jumped straight into a wimpy 6hp kart irl and started skidding it around a damp track.

All this talk of wheel... Seems so long until I buy mine. In 13 weeks when I've taken my final uni exam(this year) then I get to be as good as you guys :P

I'm not going to buy a wheel. If GT6 comes out for PS3 I will, but it's not looking likely. So GT6 for PS4 and I'll buy a wheel then. I don't even use the analog stick for acceleration. I use the L2 R2/ brake accelerate combination and use the left analog stick for steering. My controller is kinda beat and isn't as sensitive as it used to be. So the R2 doesn't have much give. If it were a little more resistant to my touch it'd make for a better feel of stepping on the accelerator pedal IRL. I make due though.

i was used was alot quicker when i had a wheel i was probably a second or two quicker at most places

Depending on how much I get done this weekend (Major Anatomy exam on Tuesday) I will try to come play. It will be the first time putting in GT5 in months so need to get the dust off the wheel lol. I will probably be on before the time your on though. Dinner date with the lady at that time.

Can someone send me the standard rx7 please? I can dupe and return it if you like.

O yea, proof pics!!!

Good stuff Joe.

I have a question about the regs, how are the cars that aren't allowed stage 3 tune regulated?

When you look on in watch mode or in the replay, you will see that cars with engine stage 3 tuning will have the red line on the rev counter in a different place, I.e more revs available to the driver.

You can do PP checks.

I was thinking that but not everyone runs full downforce so people could get around it.

Well you learn something new everyday, cheers bud.

You do pp and hp check and that should resolve that issue.

You can add engine stage 3 and then drop the downforce until your at the correct pp. Twisted redline indicator is probably the best way.

And by the way I'm not insinuating people do this, i was just wondering how it can be regulated.

RX-7 redline w/o stage 3 engine-8200 rpm
RX-7 redline with stage 3 engine-8400 rpm.

Cheers for that, it's something for the stewards to look out for when checking the replays.

Or you could just set your car to share if anyone has a problem the stewards can check the person's car in question.
