Teams of two or three?

Once the tread is up the picking will begin and soon as we hit 3 drivers per chassis that's it. Once we get to driver 17 (if it happens), we will re open the chassis selection from 3 driver per chassis to 4 drivers per chassis until we reach driver 22 - 24ish. If we get more than 24 drivers then we will re open the chassis selection a final time for a maximum 5 drivers per chassis @ 32 drivers per field. This scenario will allow the most people to drive the car of there choice vs getting whats left.

Thats the scenario we running.
But this lottery pick we have/are doing is counting for once the thread is posted.

Once we get 2 more sign ups it will be 4 car teams. But as of right now it's 3 car teams

Yeah unless cam picks the premium rx7 it's me you and Phil. Haha you've got the 2 defending champs on your side ;).

Yeah we can run those tracks.

Turnout will be low again as its it ain't even official preseason lol, but we can try out best

Okay guys I plugged my gt5 financial hole earlier than I thought (only had 17mil left :( )

My lounge is now up and running for tonight's testing.

Till you guys join, I'll be reading a book lol, so bear with me if I'm alittle unobservant

Zach i like your idea of opening the chassis' up so people aren't left with the bottom of the barrel cars but we should really stick to the 3 cars per team theme, and only when the teams are full should we be opening them up.

There are 24 seats available without the Silvia added to the list, that is more than enough to go around without adding a 4th driver to a chassis'. Adding a 4th will only make the team leaderboard redundant.

Edit - Hell there is even 21 seats without the MR-S, I'm not sure how competitive that car is but all the others are very competitive.

That's what joe stated waaaaay back, the other scenario was locking it t force people into silvia etc.

Decided to be done this way so most people get a car they want to drive. Better to have a full grid with 1 or 2 more, than an half empty grid because people get fed up in a car they don't like

@roscko it's in my lounge, you'll need to add me

Yay, Willfred_1 welcome to the Cusco works team. I'll be sending you info on tuning and other secrets I know (cough*transmission*cough) about this chassis . Just a heads up we will be very dominate at Monza & La Sarthe, and somewhat strong at Spa too. I care strongly about Team Championship points as well as my own driver standings. Await pm's buddy! 👍

Some data for you fellas to use to see if the rx7 should be upped to 1180

Last year the Arta was .5 faster here than the rest of the field.

The rx7 on Fuji F runs a mid-low 39 in both mine and Shaggs hands. Roscko also runs similar laps

Calum in the Lexus runs mid 38s

Skeng the Celica runs low 39s

.

I've highlighted the bits that don't make sense and need clarifying -

The first bit says we lock the chassis once they hit 3 drivers per car but re open them at 17 drivers.

If we lock them at 3 per car that is 21 drivers. 24 drivers with the MR-S or 27 drivers with the Silvia added too.

So if we are sticking to what was stated then the math is wrong. The aim is to have teams and 3 therfore people who join late should be forced to choose from the available cars until we get to the 22nd driver or 25th with the MR-S in the mix.

You can't do a time comparison using different drivers, it has to be done by 1 driver to see what he can achieve in each car. You stated that Skeng is faster than you by 1 second in most cars so going by that it means he will be pulling out 38's in the RX7.

So does that mean the RX7 is to fast or the Celica to slow?

It means no more than 3 per car until we have 17 drivers. Not all slots have to be filled before car selection is open again.

Dude I know, that's why I saying drivers. No way of speccing will ever be completely fair as some drivers are better in certain cars than others. I'm just putting up some info so guys know where they stand and what to aim for.

Haha I see I've opened a huge can of worms right here. I'll refrain from posting lap times, always ends up going too far lol

Pretty much I came up with this solution so people could drive cars that they want vs taking whats left. Technically speaking you are right we could still fill almost another grid with the remainder chassis if this is what you guys prefer more. I was just trying to meet drivers wants buy changing 3 car teams to 4 car teams. If you guys want the complete diverse 3 car teams then I'll set the op up that way. I'm open either way its really whatever you guys want in the end. If we agree to keep it as 3 car teams I will have to re do the math to make sure there are no conflicts with the numbers. 👍

The Celica isn't too slow. SkengD grabbed multiple podiums with his high ballast, plus 2 wins. One with ballast and another with no ballast. The Rx-7 may be too fast now that we dumbed down the Arta and did not speed up the Cusco and Silvia. I'm looking for the Lexus to pull off a win at its new reg's and with Calum & Cam as drivers I'm figuring this should not be a problem. if it is, is it because the Lexus is too slow now or is it only getting beat by the Rx-7? As a Cusco driver I know I can keep a Lexus behind me unless Cam is driving it, but the Arta and the Rx-7 had been a problem all season long. We hit the Arta, but the Season 1 champions where driving Rx-7's. And at the test they seemed really strong in the hands of Zach & Phil whom are very quick drivers but not dominating drivers like uga was. (no offense guys)

The only reason i was asking this stuff was because i want the team leaderboard to be close and competitive.

If we start opening the chassis' up before we get 3 per car (21 drivers) then it won't be close and will be pointless having it. We will end up having teams of 2, 3 and 4 and this would be a waste.

Do you see where I'm coming from?

O yea, honestly I prefer 1 room of 16 dedicated drivers vs the 2 rooms of 36 drivers but if we all agree then we will lock it at 3 car chassis no matter what! I just want all the drivers to be happy in the end.

Don't forget Joe, Cam won at Spa with the Lexus. The only rx7 victory was at Suzuka from a 10s penalty lol.

But yeah me and Phil don't dominate lol, and last weekend it was alittle easier than season 1 to overtake people. Whether its because I changed the tune and made it much nicer to driver (me andpepsi were the only rx7 drivers, so no idea what it was capable of).

It would be easier if more people turned up to these tests lol, then we can see where the cars stand and get stuff sorted for preseason. But oh well lol.

Joe, how preseason we do 1 race with rx7 at 1170 and 1 race with rx7 at 1180? We can see then how it's affected as a bigger grid will be there.

Haha just wanted the regs to be sorted before the season starts so I can tune thing but it's looking like that ain't happening.

I have no issue having the rx7 at 1180 provided me and Pepsi and shagg can feel it in comparison to others, but with fields of 4-6 it ain't the best of worlds to see how if it's the dominate car

Edit: this is where your role of keeping drivers happy comes in Joe ;)

Lol, that's a good 1 there. You guys are some honest guys so I'm sure it will work out fine, just the Rx-7 being dominate would of been drastic since there are 6 of them on grid. But that is a great idea. These cars are pretty close to one another and I'm sure any discrepancies at this point is from driver to driver comparisons. I've been on the side of everything, and I have drafted everything so really the speed difference between chassis is damn there spot on in imo. I would say that if there are differences in speed its do to different downforce numbers at this point. I'm glad I drove the Silvia too it held its on a lot better than I thought, but for some reason when it comes to qualifying the lap times seem to be off when its driving by its self, but it races well in a pack and has great trap speed numbers.

For team points you should only count the top 2 performers for each team. that way teams with dnfs and disconnects won't be hurt to badly. Or a team with only 2 can still do well.
