Just supposing you HAD to pick one car and one track (from GT5)....

I miss motegi

I won't be missing motegi for very long once my favorite racing sim gets it as well as the Acura ARX :D If GT5 gets it as well, I will be so happy and will squeal with excitement!

To be honest, I'm actually in the phase where I'm trying different things (like FPS games). I've tried WolfTeam, thought about MineCraft, am trying Tricky Truck, and just fool around with different games.

depents on the dissaster I geuss.
if it is a flood i'd go for the shwimwagen on a cours at high altitude....like eiger :D

A bit surreal, but let's imagine there was some kind of crisis. I dunno, a massive disaster of the most unrealistic and far-fetched kind (thus justifying my question).

There is a huge shortage of something or other and we are left with the choice of going back to games like "Burning Rubber" on the Amstrad CPC-464, OR due to the limits on technology in this post-apocalyptic world we can still have GT5 but we can only have one car and one track to drive around until the government finds a solution, whenever that may be.

My choice is blatantly obvious, but for the short-sighted I would be happy nipping around Nürburgring with a GT-R Spec V, if I had to make that choice.
What about you?...

PS - Yes I know you would rather not/can't choose, you don't have to because this won't happen etc etc, but go along with it here, just for the sake of it :D

Someone watched Apocalypse, from Richard Hammond and James May, right? haha.

If I were to choose, the Nurburgring is my choice of track. For a car, I would want something that would always be a hoot, and give me a challenging experience every time. With that, I would probably choose the SLS AMG or Lotus Elise 111R. I'd make that an Exige P60 if it were in the game.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife with dynamic time and changing weather is the obvious choice for me.
The car... Now, this is where things get a little tricky. I'd usually just pick my go-to car, the S15 RM. However, I'm already pretty goodwith the car, at least as far as the stock setup goes. There are still a few tenths to be shaven off of my lap times and I've basically never driven this car out in the rain, but... I guess it won't keep me busy for long enough for a government to come with a sollution to any problem.

So I'll have to go with one of the Super GT cars. That leaves me with a few options, though. I'd either go with the GT300 Cusco Dunlop Subaru Impreza, the Castrol Tom's Supra or the Yellow Hat Supra.

TL;DR:
Nürburgring Nordschleife (time and weather change) and the Yellow Hat Supra.

No, believe it or not. I was just driving around the 'Ring last night in my Spec V '09 when I realised that that's something I seem to do a lot. Then I just had the thought that if, somehow, the rest of the game just disappeared I would still be happy so long as I had that car, on that track. No HUD, cockpit view, day/night cycle, changeable weather... bliss.

I'll just add that I meant Nürburgring 24hr course.

Oh, haha. I say this because those two guys made a special in the off season recently about what post apocalyptic driving would be like. One segment was if there was 1 barrel of fuel left in the world, what would they drive?

The ring with a Ford Mark IV. I thought I would've preferred the Ferrari 330 but I liked the handling in the Ford better, and you just can't go past the way it sounds.

Track: Nürburgring 24h

Car: out of the game an A4 Touring Car and out of the real world Audi Ur-quattro

XJ220 LM Race Car @ The Ring.

Extremely tough choice choosing the track though. I was somewhat torn between Grand Valley/Trial Mountain/Suzuka. The Ring takes it. Just. The length makes it so that it can suprise you on every lap.

For me it would be the fairly inevitable Nordschleife but the car would be the VW Lupo GTI Cup Car.

If there was one barrel of fuel left in the world, I would drive a Honda FCX Clarity.

Porsche (RUF) BTR & 'the ring'

What a machine the BTR is, discovered it last wkend and hit the expert European camp' with it pretty much stock (suspension, LSD, and lv3 weight reduction), what a challenge! You can really feel the RR layout on track.

Once I'd won the series, i went and maxed the tune and hit the ring, even on R-S tyres, the character of the car is maintained and it is still a challenge to drive quickly, one of the most rewarding cars in my garage.

..and the replay was one of the most true to life replays I've seen, yes it is only a standard model, but the sense of speed it has on track and the way it shifts and squirms is absolutely spot on 👍

/signed.

Far away from even remotely mastering this car, but on the odd occasion it does work and it is pure magic. The most rewarding experience in game imho.

Racing Modified Honda Integra DC5 for the car, and I know everyone says it, but I'd choose the Nurburgring (24hr layout) as the track.
