I was enormously disappointed that there were no 2011 Mustangs. I'd like to see the new Shelby GT-350 and the GT-500 preferrably with the Super Snake package (800HP baby!).

Finally the 2011 BOSS 302 would make a GREAT RM-able car:

2011 Mustangs are selling like hotcakes in the US so they should really be in the game IMHO. Much more so than the Challenger and Camaro which ARE in the game in their latest form.

Got to see a "Cammer" at the track, it was just doing shakedown laps, but was easily the fastest car there that day.

Yes it is, the first Ferarri I fell in love with.

There was one at the shop that tuned my Firebird, it had the motor out of it, they told me they were planning to shoehorn a LS1 into it. Now, I know the older 308 was kinda underpowered, but that seemed a but like sacrilege to me :nervous:

The first one I fell in love with is the 550 that I own now. Family friend sold it to me.

I've got a '72 Trans Am sitting in storage at the moment (back in my home country). What do you have? EDIT: Guessing it's a '98?

Did the name of the shop just to happen to be Exotic Performance Plus? The reason why I'm asking this is because I could have sworn they did something along the lines of this nature...

'98, I mostly drag race that one, but would like to get it to a closed circuit.

Love the 550. I'm pretty a little disappointed its not in the game.

lol... That's ironic, Bob is the man on LS1Tech... lol... I purchased my entire Procharger kit minus the headunit from him for my 01' WS6. Man I feel bad for the OP because this thread is completely off topic... lol

There's a lot of missing cars in this game. Really wish they had my CTS-V in there as well but I guess you can't have them all.

VIR, great track. Road America is a fun track as well... I guess it just depends on how far you are from the nearest circuit.

Yeah, CTSV would have been another good addition.


Would have loved to see some more real world tracks, like VIR, Road America, Lime Rock Park, SPA etc.
 
You know, despite there being a small amount of American cars in the game, I'd even be happy with them taking a few of the standard American cars and making them premium cars.

I don't have to. It has 5-doors. My 05' CTS-V was Listed as a Sedan and has 4-doors, My 04' Mazda 3 5-door was not listed as a Sedan. My 88' 626 GT was not listed as a sedan and it had 5-doors. Its your choice to follow the words of professional journalists(and not form your own opinion) but my eyes do not deceive me, the Panamera is a Hatchback..... I'm not going to dispute what you call it, just know what it is.

Take your own advice. It's classified as a sedan overall, so you can stop acting like you know what it is when you're by yourself in that regards.

Irrelevant, b/c in the end, it's still the fastest 4-door around. Doesn't matter what the price difference is, otherwise, all these "ZR1 vs. [insert supercar here]" would be null.

If it's such a big thing to outhandle an M3 with a live rear axle, that it takes three years (or rather, four years, according to the model year), why on earth would you use it?

Well, the 2010 GT500 couldn't even keep up with the M3 around Hockenheim, Bedford Autodrome or Laguna Seca, as can be seen on FastestLaps.com, so yeah. Maybe the 2011 will be faster, four years after the M3 was initially released. Beating the competition for four years seems decent enough, if you're asking me.

Either way, I'll just wait for the reviews and a few more laptimes for the 2011 Mustangs...
It'd be cool if they are that fast, as fast cars for little money are always awesome, regardless of the manufacturerer.

Funny, this thread has been the OP's first and only post on this site. I wonder if he's going to try it again.

Personally, I don't care what country a car is from. I don't care if every average, slow care ever made is in the game. What I don't want is the used car dealer filled with those slow cars when all I want is race cars and high performance cars.

Maybe there should be family dealership and a performance dealership. That way people who buy the game so they can putt around with their Honda Insight have a place to choose a car and those who are more into the sport side of things don't have to spend their time wading through pages of cars they have no interest in.
 
Thank god they left them cars out the game! I really can't think of any American car that I would want...
 
I'm from the U.S. and I'd rather have cars from other parts of the world. Ours are mostly boring looking anyway.

SO many good American cars, many listed in this thread alone. Not sporty at all? Not particularly interesting? Why, cause they can't be compared to a Lamborghini or Ferrari? What's your definition of "sporty"?

I would like to add to the list:

- All the 2.2L Turbo Dodges from the 80's (GLHS, etc)
- Early 90's 5.0L Mustangs
- So many late 60's, early 70's muscle cars still missing. (Dart, Cougar, etc)



Explain why the new 5.0L Mustang is faster around a track than the new M3? What kind of American cars have you been driving your whole life? Ford Festiva?

There aren't enough US cars. But that's not the problem. The problem is too much JP cars.

I had Forza 3, and I was lucky enough to win 5000 or so MS points in a tournament. I was able to get every piece of DLC for free. The final Forza car list is in the 600-700 range I think (I'm not really sure). It feels three times as big as GT5.

PD needs to drop the JP bias (it's understandable this time since most cars came from GT4, which was JP biased). But future car packs/games should branch out a little. GT tries to make sure that if you own a JP car, you get to drive your exact model down to the options list. If you have a US/Euro car, you'll have to settle with the right general model. I'm also dissapointed with some car models (physics, not graphics).

Viper ACR - drives like the 2008 Viper SRT-10 (where is the 1000 lbs downforce and drag?)
Saleen S7 - drives like a 70's Mustang (where is the 2000 lbs downforce and racing chassis?)
Bugatti Veyron - 230 mph? Why can't you set it to top speed mode
LP670 - Which version did we get? High speed wing or downforce wing? Would it have been difficult to include both when you've got 18938 Skylines?

Obviously it's not a restraint anymore looking at how fast the car is. Ford is keeping it because a majority of Mustang purchasers will drag race the car, and a live axle is best for that. But they've found a way to make it work on the road course, so IMO they deserve big props for that. 👍

I can't really think of a European car I would want. Honestly you shouldn't be putting them down unless you drive one. That's the problem with most Europeans. They're quick to judge our cars as crap, yet most of them have never even driven at least one of them.

Thats quite embarrassing for the Mustang considering how awfully cheap the interior and bodywork feels, I figured it was made out of the cheapest materials on the planet and put together by spider monkeys. M3 is a legend, Mustang is err....not. fact.

CTS-V is only just a bit quicker than an Audi S4, so wont be faster than an M5 ;) Epic fail, even the Aussie's can beat the yanks. Team Holden!

considering the actual relevance of american cars to the world of motorsports as a whole, I would say that there actually are *too many* american cars in the game, especially between the premiums.

Looks like a few americans are a tad too used to be the center of the gaming world. Luckily there's still some games in which this doesn't happen.

In the real car history, the Mustang brand is way more important and "legendary" than the M3, not to mention that the first M3 came 20 years after the first Ford Mustang.

EDIT: By the way, I would also love to see more American cars, just like I want to see more German cars, more Japanese cars, more Italian cars, more French......
