Lack of American cars

Comparing a CTS-V to a Porsche is a little silly.............. one is quite a bit cheaper.

It would be like comparing a Mazda Miata to a Corvette.

Well duh the corvette is faster but it is way more expensive. You can't ignore price when comparing cars.

I quite like the new Mustang, and I think it's one of the best looking Mustangs ever made.

I'm a Mustang fanboy, but yes, the 2010 redesign looks absolutely stunning. Is sleek, yet it looks muscular.

There are some good handling american cars that could of been put in. Saying ''American Cars don't handle good'' is like saying French women are hairy. Doesn't apply to all of them. The super expensive Bugatti veyron doesn't handle very good.

Man, that is BS. Honda Civics are basically over priced and Ford comes put with equal quality products for cheaper. I have a friend who owns a 2001 Civic, he thought he was getting a great value cause it was a Honda, he has put almost 13k on top of the purchase price in maintainence. Ford has come with great products last 3 years. The only Chrysler is still sub par.

American car quality is on the rise. 👍

Most American cars are rubbish in turns anyway. The only thing I would actually like is a CTS-V.

Lotus Esprit anyone?

BTW I love the Lotus Esprit, but the, to use your words "Rubbish" Renault transmission and equally rubbish plastic clutch line right next to the exhaust where the fluid boils as soon as the car is warmed up, (easy to fix if it weren't for the rubbish transmission) is why I own American cars and didn't buy that Esprit I wanted a couple of years ago.

BTW, I routinely smoke cars costing triple digits at the track with my "rubbish" Cobalt SS, purchasing that was a smart move.

I wish I could find the article where they pitted the 2011 Mustang against the BMW M3 at Willow springs. the Mustang lost by .03 seconds or something negligable.

BTW, put a good tune and an exhaust system on the Mustang, you have a car that will turn low 10 second quarters.

Motortrend said that the new charger is only one plus away from being better than the BMW 5 series... once the new ZF transmissions come, it will destroy it.

I'm sorry but I'd take a Lotus Esprit any day than a rubbish Cobalt.
A rubbish Esprit is much more desirable than a brand new Cobalt.

And really, you can run laps around me on a track all day but I'd still be going home in a Ferrari, and you'd still be in a Chevy.

SC, lol the turbo should be faster , my last track day, I was approached by the event manager who asked me about my track experience, then gave me a pat on the back and told me the 2 911 GT2 and the Ferarri 360 owner were ******** bricks together because my stock compact was faster than they were.

It's funny you mention that because someone did that awhile back with a nitrous setup. I don't remember the name of the shop that built the car but run a search on Youtube and you'll find the car. 👍

Myself being more of a GM fan, I'm just glad to see that Ford gets it and stepped up their game by doing a great job with the new Mustang GT. Sure the LS3 responds very well to mods but if I were currently in the market for a brand new muscle car, my money would be going towards a fully loaded Mustang GT. I just wish GM would pull their heads out their *** and get with the program.

But back to the top of there being a lack of American cars in this game, it sure would be nice to have more of them in addition to a few bad*** Aussie cars as well.

Rivalries breed good things for the consumer, bringing good German cars and Japan's finest here helps as well. Never thought I would see the day a factory Mustang GT could hang with a BMW M3 around a closed circuit.

Ford just built a great motor, it's pretty complex, though, still waiting to see how it holds up. :-)
