Large day one patch!

So if we figure around half a gig for the opening movie and say 1/4 if a gig for cars that still leaves nearly half a gig unaccounted for. Maybe new features? Or is there something that PD is hiding from us?

I don't think the opening movie will take up that much space...Just looking at the spec 2.0 update that included a new movie and a large amount of other things. I could be wrong of course.
 
Actually, I was looking at all the things I've downloaded for GT5 a couple days ago.

The Spec 2.0 intro was 860MB or something like that. The other 1 was 510mb or so.

Think the new opening movie in gt5 was a separate download in the gt tv section...or whatever it was called.

This is why I wish I can live in Topeka, Kansas. Google Fiber (I think that's the name) has like 100 mb/s download :drool:

My Comcast tested through speedtest.net, Puget Sound to So Calif., averages between 85 to 120 mb/s. (Sorry for the OT)

Try that link and let us know if it works. I clicked on it, clicked on the patch on the page and it opened up a window asking me to save/download the file.

Hey, I was thinking on that. I just started the download. 14-13 hours @ 20-25kb/s :lol: that's really fast. Hope it works. It should work.

And how do I install it? I just move the PKG file to the PS3's HDD and open/install it?

I think we shouldnt download that! this is the file name:

Maybe that JP is for Japan and this file is for Japanese games not other regions. or maybe not! I dont know!! :D

i hope its not going to be as big as the patch for gt5, most likely will though. I don't think PD would release an unfinished game.
