They're not giving anything for free, they're actually still trying to finish the game they could never finish. Every update is fixing something they mess up or didn't complete. As for the seasonal, it's there to counter the stupid leveling system.

But with the last updates, they're actually removing features that they hyped for months before launch.

Not a whole lot of business sense in that kind of attitude is there? This isn't the childhood football game where you take your football home, businesses need to keep their millions of customers happy, or they'll lose the ability to call them customers.

If you have a business you need a steady flow of income via "NEW" customers and products, to say to your customers "screw you! we are fed up of your moaning" and will not give you any new content for a product we screwed up on" will be a death sentence for the company. Keep in mind that a business has expenses everyday/week/month/year which must be met if that business is to survive, This is basic business sense!

I don't really understand PD in this regard. I mean who, if not they themselves, would be able to judge how much time they can spare to prepare new seasonals? If it turns out they can't abide by a weekly schedule, why did they announce it that way in the first place?

Everybody would have been happy if they had stated that they would update the seasonals "every couple of weeks" without getting more precise. Now that they've chained themselves to a weekly schedule (which they obviously can't keep up), they've only opened themselves up to more criticism.

Seasonals are supposed to appear on a weekly basis, and last for two weeks. They didn't release new seasonals last week. Hence the original question.

I'm not happy because the number of events in A-Spec is way too few and PD are not delivering new Seasonal Events on time, so I'm bored of this game.

PD as a business isn't shutting it's doors when this game runs its course. You always need to be considering the future in business.

I've bought the last 3 Gran Turismo games without really doing any research because I never felt like I had to. The way GT5 has played out to date, that will change for the next game in the series, and obviously I'm not alone in this regard.

I'd love to play a seasonal event, where the track can be hybrid tarmac / dirt, and you must drive the car that is presented to you. So everyone gets the same shot at completing the 5 laps in record time, and... car has forced mechanical damage ON, 0 assists, 32 opponents, aerials, twisting track and turns that are technically challenging. Bonus Cr for Gold: 1 free DLC.

Come on guys they were working on implemeting 2 updates for the game over the last few weeks so things like the seasonals were likely to get put on the back burner.

Sure the release schedule has gone to pot over the last 2 weeks but you would be moaning even louder if the promised updates hadnt materialised wouldnt you.

Personally when i seen the expiry date on the seasonals had changed from 24th feb to 3rd march i realised it would be 3rd march before they updated and on a minor point didnt the seasonals update on the 16th/17th of febuary then have additional events on the update on the 19th/20th. seem to remember that each category had 3 events intially and then they had 5 plus the bonus races appeared with the update too. Technically speaking they added new event twice in 3 days.

I would think a majority of the PD staff is working on GT6 with a handful of others updating GT5. Hopefully the GT Drivers Club will be released soon and fix many of the issues that people have been complaining about.
