I was speaking to a well respected doctor on this matter who said that it heightens your attention levels , highers your reflex's and and improves you're hand to eye coordination just before you fall asleep .

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it .

:dopey::odd:

And when you first turn the PS3 on with the GT5 disc in, will you have the patience to watch the intro movie or just press 'X' to go straight into the game?

I will at the same time as the intro movie plays i will jump around and scream like a little girl.......probably.

My plans are during the week GT5 is released i will play alot!
I have pre orderd at a online shop. so i hope i will get my copy at the 3rd Nov.

wow this post made me rethink my priorities. im gonna conviniently "fall sick" for a week or so, bottle of wine to celebrate, try to get it at the midnight launch, somehow. probably not. i wont get it until the afternoon after the launch :(

I will probably get off work, go pick the game up on launch day, and then hopefully get a chance to play it some that night. More then likely though it will be the day after launch that I get an hour or two to give it a try.
I'm not in to big of a hurry to jump into deep. I've waited this long for the release, so I plan on taking my time with it and making it last awhile.

On launch day I probably played GT5 already for at least 24 straight hours, since I will stalk every storemanager in a 50km radius to sell me the game once they have it in stock (which is usually about two days before release).

I'm not sure how many of you recall the release day of Modern Warfare 2, but it was one of the largest game launches in game history. A lot of the "ma and pa" stores in the US released the game before the release date in order to keep customers from going else where to buy the game. I have no doubt in my mind that this will happen with GT5 considering all the hype around it. So if any of you are near a small game retailer, give them a call and bug them a few days in advance. I'm sure some will give in.

I`ll watch it, i`m sure it will be a excellant little vid like all of the previous intro vids. But i`ll be a extremely excited/impaitent little cookie whilst watching it though :nervous:

I am taking the entire launch week off using vacation days and on the day leading up to the midnight launch I will be buying an unlimited day pass for this...

Electric karts, get up to 40mph on the quarter mile track, my lap times are around 31 seconds.

I will play for a couple of hours after getting it, but I am going to be worn out from karting all day so go to bed fairly early (around 2:30-3:00am) get up at 10:00 and pretty much play GT5 the rest of the week! :D

This will be the first time I take off work for a game launch and I couldn't think of a better game to do it for.

here's my plan:

-Get the game at midnight launch on Monday, nov 1st.
-Wipe out my tears of joy
-Drive home
-Start the 10Gb install
-Engage in *censored illegal activity* while I wait for the install :sly:

-Once install is complete: play untill my thumbs hurt!

PS: nov 2nd got me so obsessed, it feels like my whole life is starting the revolve around this sacred date! lol

I'm still wondering why GT5 couldn't have been released before I got married and had a child!! I plan on taking my remaining 2 vacation days, probably the 3rd and 4th of November, that way I will have 2 full days to play while the wife is at work, and the little guy is at grandma's. October will officially be the most annoying month ever while the wait continues.

Ok so i thought i was gonna have to work the UK release date of 5th Nov but since i just worked the Scottish Glasgow bank holiday on monday it gives me a spare days holiday - which i have now booked off and will have the full weekend to sit down with the game.

Lets just hope the extra i have paid amazon means they wont let me down with shipping the game for release day now !!

I will wake up, Have some breakfast then a shower followed by turning on my PC to play some iRacing :D

When GT4 came out I took off 2 weeks from work PAID. But this time when GT5 comes out I just think I will buy the game when I get out of work. Only having 20% of the cars finished really kills me inside. Its like I am only getting 20% of a finished game. :(

So you're gonna cry about an unfinished game on release day? what a shame.
please complain about this in the appropriate thread (there are many to choose from).

I will stock up on top ramen and beer so I dont need to leave my couch for a long while. I may stay up all night playing this game, which I dont do for any other games.

when it comes out in the UK on the friday, ill be at university without my ps3 and wheel. HOWEVER!, my last lecture on the friday ends at 4pm so once its over, ill sprint to the rail station and get on the high speed train to london St Pancras where ill then try and get to the GAME store, where I preordered the signiture edition, as quick as possible before it closes at 6.30pm. Its going to be tight but Im hopeful I can make it

- I'll probably pick up my pre-order when the store opens in the morning, then move to work (man, that will be a long day).
- When I come home, immediately start the 10 Gb install and have dinner.
- Play it until my girlfriend drags me from behind my wheel.

So don't buy it and wait for GT6

Hmmmm....my week will go like this....
1. Pick-up my Pre-order from gamestop the SECOND the doors are opened
2. Rush home
3. Turn on my PS3
4. Put the disk in
5. Change my pants (who likes to drive with a wet seat???)
6. Gather essentials while it is installing (ie. chips, root beer, pee bucket, eye drops)
7. Turn on my g25 wheel.
8. Start GT5 after done installing
9. Change pants again......
10. Play GT5 until summer.........
11. Play through summer break......
Oooohhhh yeahhh......I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! 👍:sly:!

Yea, I used the rest of my vacation days for that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. However, I knew I would be worthless on Monday... So, I scheduled a dentist appointment.

To be honest, I never thought this day would come, well definitely not this year to say the least.

My day will go as follows...

-Try to get the game a few days in advance.

-If that doesn't work, try to give myself a media blackout from all the gaming websites/shows that will get the game before everyone and reveal everything.

-Decide whether or not to go to classes and wait all day to play it or skip classes and play all day.

-Get the game watch everything, look through everything, play it some, then try it out on the 3D TV and if G27 is compatible go buy that, which I'm sure it will be.

-Then see how improved and great the Online game mode is then race my buddies with our 180hp beginner cars.

-Finally hop back on here and see what everyone else is doing and how crazy this website is going to be.

Long Live Gran Turismo, KY, GTP:gtpflag:

Decisions Decisions

When GT5 releases i will have a 1 week to play. i have school break.

- stay away from GTP becuse i dont want the first game experience with GT5 to be ruined.

- First i will wait until the postman comes by, i orderd online.

- RUN upstairs to my room and install the game right away.

- check all intros and check all different modes there are.

- Buy me a beginner car

- And just enjoy !!

i really hope my new manager lets me get tuesday and wednesday off! because working the morning shift after getting only 3 hours of sleep is a b***h!!!

When I get my copy the first thing I'm going to do is turn my mobile phone of and anything else that can distract me. And then for the next month I'm going to play none stop. I'm not going to even bother going uni, the only problem is that I've got exams in January and I know I'll have to stop playing so for one month everybody will think I've died or vanished
