HPT, get a wheel if you can. I've always steered (no pun intended) clear of them until recently when I bit the bullet and bought a Logitech GT with pedals. Just under 80 quid from Argos and I've got to say my racing games have taken on a whole new meaning. I've also got my other half to get me a wheel stand pro to mount it on so I'm well set up for when GT5 drops through my letterbox.

Sounds like a plan my friend.

I have always rocked the GT series with a D-Pad, this is before Analogue existed here - so it's something I am very used to.

When GT5:P came out though I invested in a G25, a lovely wheel. I did find myself having an issue with where to put it though, and I thought the shifter was made of jam.

I am currently looking at getting another wheel, ideally with a better shifter.

And, it's reasonable to expect me to have one sorted for when GT5 comes out :)

Being in the UK we prob wont get the game until the 5th so because its a friday i'll be at work until 4pm:grumpy:

The postman usually comes around midday so hopefully my copy should be layin on the mat when i get in from work about 4.30.

I intend on having dinner, weight session and then shower before i so much as look at it so that when i do finally get around to it later in the evening there will be nothing at all i need to do or worry about.

Its always a huge moment for me seeing the intro movie of a new GT game for the first time and this one is even more special seeing how long i've actually been witing for the game.

well looks like im getting the game on the 6th saturday working till 5 coming home round 6 ish shops are closed so gota w8 another half day after you peeps

Get home from work, have dinner with my family then take them to the park to watch the bonfire night fireworks display.

To quote JD...It's just a game guys, real life comes first.

you couldn't possibly have came up with a more lame answer. If real life comes that far ahead, what the hell are you doing on this site man? i'm not trying to be rude but you should get why I'm asking

I have a hard time getting GT5. I depend on importaers getting the game and then selling it to me.

I´ve contacted several places about the collector´s edition and they only tell me, "yes, we will have it,k but will give more details close to release".

I would like to have it reserved already.

Most likely i will only get my hands on the game on november 8 or 9.

The game comes out on the 4th here which is a Thursday.
So I plan to pick it up after work.

  • Get the 4:07pm Train home.
  • Arrival at Local Train Station at 4:30pm
  • Walk to EB games near station
  • Get Home about 4:50pm
  • Look through Apex book and GT5 sites till game installs
  • Play till Fiancée get's home
  • Make Dinner & Eat
  • Play till 10:30pm
  • Bed
  • Taking Friday off to play the whole day :)

What postal man leaves a package all on it's own, I think that he will take it back if there is no owner in the house. So you will have to go to your local Postal Office to pick up the package.

Well, bad news, I've been really sick... good news, I don't have to go to school until November 6th, at the earliest! haha

The postman will usually leave it at the delivery address unless the recipient needs to sign for it. So if he has a mail slot in his door, it should be possible to find the package on the mat.

I'm gonna do this

I've got it delivered to the mother-in-law's, where there is always someone in. I know I'm going to be working whichever day I get it, because I've got the weekend booked off, as well as the following week, so I can die from GT5 overload pretty quickly....

Knowing what a cow my manager is, I'll be doing all lates, so I don't get home until 9.30pm either...

On launch day I'll probably be pissed that I'm not getting my CE on the release date. Probably because while it's SUPPOSED to take 24hrs to deliver, it'll probably take an extra day, so it comes the day after. Happens all the time when I'm REALLY looking forward to something :p So instead of playing on Wednesday, I'll hopefully get it in Thursday.

So work on Thursday, then maybe take Friday off.

Dude, don't remind me. I did the same thing with the overnight shipping. The travel time is usually pretty spot on, it's just waiting for it to leave the store to start the trip. Im hoping they ship it the day before so that it does reach on time. I don't think I could last two days knowing millions of ppl around the world have already started.

hey, we've waited six years now, one more day won't hurt :sly:

I'll be working when GT5 gets delivered to my house, which is usually around 4pm. I won't be able to play it until about 11:30pm. When I do get a chance to play it, I'll be going for the licences tests, and looking at the tracks and cars, and see what secrets PD kept from us. Assuming they don't give us a car and track list before release day.

My big bro will have half-day off work (Nov., 3rd here) so we'll drive our Panda 100HP (sad to think it will not be in the game, most likely) to GameStop and get our CE. Back home real fast and play till dinner time:)
P.S.: Are you guys transferring the GT PSP garage? What do you think?

For the noobs, you can only transfer the cars into the arcade mode, not the GT career mode. Also, you won't be able to transfer your credits from GT5:P.

Luckily I have 4 day weekends as I only go to college Tuesday-Thursday so I'll be playing it for about 4 straight days. So as it looks like we in the UK are getting ours on the 5th Nov. I'll be getting up,walk into my town and pick my pre-ordered copy up and walk home as fast as I can and put the game in the PS3. I may try to transfer cars from GTPSP for the Arcade.

I'm unlucky! Normally on university I don't have a lot of lessons I HAVE TO attend to..
But now there are a lot of group assignments, and just in THAT WEEK I have to be at university almost all the time... Damn.. Guess there will be sleepless nights;)

already told my parents and teachers that i´m gonna skip school nov 3rd.
Like in the early morning, start my veyron and fly to the store to buy the signature ed. and then play for 5 days without eating, going to the bathroom and sleep

On the release day I'll happily not go to school :) pick up my SE take it home and kiss the living C*** out of it because it's finally come and I've waited for years for the day to had come :) I'll prob play it more than any other game obviously but Ill still have to do my daily routine :)

GT5 JUST ISN'T THE SAME WITH A CONTROLLER.
PROUD G25 OWNER :)

Right, so then you have time during the day instead...

What do you think a G25 is? It's a controller, just a different type of controller, and the game is exactly the same regardless of what you use.

I've got it order through Amazon, so I don't know if I'll get it on the Thursday or Friday. But because I've got the weekend off, my boss will probably make me work all day (which is 9.30am to 9.30pm).... Still I can't complain too much, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones at this time....

You know what he meant, stop being too smart:censored: Of course you know that he meant with a pad e.g. Dualshock 3.

And I agree, GT5 is the same game with a pad and a wheel, but with a good wheel, it just feels sooo much better
