Vaxx, you might be actually onto something there. Maybe turning up (or down?) the speed sensivity and the FFB just for the GT40 race might help. I ll try that later on.

But regarding steering angle, I play with 540 to 720. So that should actually reduce the weaving effect in relation to your smaller steering angle, right? *brain starts to hurt from thinking hard*

Oh God, why cant that b**** a** GT40 just go in a goddamn straight line, holy schmack! :ouch:

I thought so. I was using 720 on the DFGT with steering lock on cars from 31-35. I was happy. Then with driving hotlaps and whatnot having to go change the settings on the wheels I was getting tired of it. So I change back and and now happy with 370. I dont see it more difficult to control the harder cars at all. Going through a garage and changing steering locks on all sucked though....

I use the DFGT as well since Shift 1 days. Steering lock is very much a personal setting you feel comfortable with. I prefer the car to be as responsive as possible with the minimum of steering effort though. My steering lock is set at 300 and the sensitivities at 97%. I find these setting allow me to feel exactly when you reach the limit of the slip angles and when you are about to lose them, especially on RWD cars. It allows relatively controlled slides once the back end gets loose, and letting of the gas slightly usually brings the back end under control. I like a car to be slightly on the loose side though, but once again it is a personal choice.

As far as the Ford GT40 Mk.1 goes : my view is that these cars dont have the sophisticated LSD's and suspensions as the more modern lot. Credit to SMS for keeping them as original and hardcore as they are suppose to be....and that makes them hard to control.

The problem with the GT40 in my opinion, is the distribution of torque to the rear and a rear suspension that cannot handle the amount of HP delivered to it. Couple that with a lack of rear downforce and you have a winning recipe for weaving. I tried to address these issues with my tune, so feel free to try it. I will appreciate some feedback :sly:

A few points:

- Don't expect a perfect stabile car on the first lap.You should feel grip and stabilty increase a lot once the tyres heat up. Be patient.
- Be cautious at the end of the back straight just before the last corner going into the main straight. The braking distance for this corner is INCREASED. So brake early or you'll be off the track.
- Some of the settings in the tune is a bit extreme eg caster, but it works for me. This is the only car that needs emergency surgery :ouch:

 Thanks for that Zeeco , i've been messing around today and and managed to get the weaving thing to a manageable level , the one thing i found that helped me quite a bit was reducing the speed sensitivity to nothing , with ffb @ 95% and steering sensitivity @ 60% and steering lock @ 460 , this is the tune i came up with -- try it out at your peril :scared:

I will endevour to try your Musomaniak Special though 👍

I will try your tune Muso thanks mate.

I have speed sensitivity at 0 all the time ( something someone in Shift 1 taught me). You cannot race anything with a PI higher than 500 with it on :scared:

TexasTyme, I would like to challenge you to a IRL race but you can only use your thumb

Only one thumb? That's not very fair:p

The GT40 race might be the first where I won't get podium. It turns well, finally, but the track's curb require more precision than I could possibly achieve with this car and a controller:crazy:. I excited for the others though!

I m not buying your understatement neither, Tex. I think you will already camp overnight on the podium until we others swirl by in marvellous high speed pirouettes of mayhem! :D

Zeeco, I won't be able to make it for the Legends races tomorrow... damn! And my GT40 handles like a dream (in my dreams) :) My brother is having a graduation party for his daughter. Race time is smack in the middle of the afternoon here (3PM).

Ehm... Hate to say it but tomorrow afternoon is the members congress of my football club (the Bundesliga one, not some amateur sheesh) and it looks like there is gonna be a major revolution including selecting a new club president, kicking the actual club chef, changing the club statutes etc. So it might last until the late evening... dunno. If you dont see me online, dont wait for me. :guilty:

Hi all :) If I'm around, by all means send me an invite 👍 Not sure I will be though

Thats no reflection on anyone racing, or the running of the series which has been impeccable

Paul you are the ORIGINAL Legend Racer. What happened mate? I noticed you have been playing the 'other game' a lot :)

Thank you for the compliment

With the E-Type and GT40 it will look like ALL of us had our fill of beer I am guessing.

I thought the GT40 was hard to control...the Jag is just as bad...

Yeah Vaxx the jag feels as though its got no back wheels :grumpy:

Even though they dont handle very well, I am looking forward to the madness.

Now imagine if the game has weather effects. And we are doing the race at night...in rain!

I forgot to mention it in the OP. Tonights races are night races and cam view only

I've been on vacation. It was supposed to be 8 days and ended up being 14... though luck :D

I'm out of shape and I need to catch up with the WTC... so no races for me tonight even if i'm online.

Was going to ask to tag along for tonight's event but........

Tried T-12's, Zeeco_9's and Musomaniak's GT40 tunes, still cannot get it to go in a straight line using my Fanatec wheel. Tweaked Speed Sensitivity settings too. It is completely uncontrollable.

I'll sit this one out, hope you all have a good time.

Everyone is in the same boat, why not come along? Its not about coming in first, its about the fun with some great folks! I predict the winner of the GT40 race is going to have the SLOWEST laptimes. Just my prediction...

I appreciate your comments, I would, but like I said it will not go where you point it, literally, even in the lower gears it wanders off, can't go 50 yards without slamming into something.

I could care less about winning, would just like to experience online.
Never done S2U online yet, tried yesterday but AutoLog locked my PS3 and hosed my S2U game data (restored now from backup).

Restarts only happen within 1st lap lol. We finished it up. Was suppose to be 5. So I believe Texas came in first.

Oh ok , i thought tex had been disconnected again , and we were waiting for a restart because of that . Never mind i was in planet Zog by the eighth lap anyway :boggled:

:lol::lol:
So whassup where were y'all?! I came online 20 mins late and everbody went off? :(

Sorry FLX we were busy with the last race when you came online :yuck:

Thought you you needed another drink

Thank goodness 'shake your booty Sunday' is over. I laughed so much for Vaxx's pink E-Type jag I could not race. Brilliant strategy Vaxx :lol:

Yeah the last race was my mistake...sorry guys. Should have been 5 laps (instead of 10), but it turned out to be one of the best duels in the Legend series. I hit Vaxx in the very first corner, so he worked his way up to 1st and 2nd and for 8 laps battled with Texas. Well done Vaxx 👍

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you guys tonight. Never heard so much banter and laughing ever. This is what the series is all about 👍
